    Nice video. Two things I would suggest that helps with the reinstall. Just take off the nut for the throttle cable bracket(which is also part of the bolt that holds the carbs together), that way you don't have to screw around with the cables afterward. on the 99 I found turning the three bottom clamps around 180 and flipping them so all four 3mm allen bolts are facing the back is easier to access them, especially if you have a longer ridgid allen key. It doesn't have the heating/coolant hoses in the way like the 2000 and up does.

      The flasher relay is located under the driver's seat on the right hand side near the right hand seat mounting bolt. the relay has an electrical connection and you will need to unplug it and plug in the new relay. It's really easy to replace the flasher relay and it only takes about 5 minutes. • @WillowsWorldofDIY
      @WillowsWorldofDIY  2 года назад +2

      No, they are normal Allen bolts but you have to have the Allen wrench in the right spot and at the right angle. This step is going to be difficult without depth perception. I try to keep the back end of the Allen wrench against the plastic heat shield while i'm trying to line up the other end of the Allen wrench with the clamp bolt. • @WillowsWorldofDIY

      I wouldn't store the fuel tank upside down with fuel in it. The fill cap doesn't completely seal because it needs to vent to allow air to get in as the fuel is getting used and to keep pressure from building up inside the tank.

    Hey bro. those #3 hex screws are hard to get to and tough to unscrew. The bike has been sitting for a long time. Any thoughts on loosening them?

      I put the #3 Allen wrench in the bolts and use a 10mm closed box wrench on the L part of the Allen wrench, using the 10mm wrench as a lever to break the bolts loose. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!

      Do you use Synthetic? Any particular brand of oil?

    • @WillowsWorldofDIY
      @WillowsWorldofDIY  3 года назад +1

      Yes I run synthetic, Motul 300V is the best in my opinion. Here is a link to the exact oil I use amzn.to/3xbjA1a

      @@WillowsWorldofDIY I bought Mobile synthetic but may take it back to Autozone and get the Motul. Again big thanks for your help and advice. Once I am done, would love to meet up and compare bikes.

    Would it have killed you to show the location of the other 3 bolts holding down the carbs? I'm having a hell of a time figuring this out.

      No, I just wanted to show how I remove them. I do show all 4 lower clamp bolt with my Allen wrench in each one of them @9.30-11.24 during the reassembly. Please watch the entire video. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!

      If you send me an email I can send you a short video clip showing exactly where the 4 carburetor lower clamp bolts are located. My email address is in the about section on my channels main page.

      @@davidmoran4675 That is the idle adjustment cable. find the idle adjustment knob on the right side of your Motorcycle and pull the knob and cable straight up and it will pop out of its holder bracket.

    Please remember that you need a really strong light in or on the area people want to see to get a good video. The vid is too dark to show the things you are describing.
