It takes some preparation and taking hard copies as printed screenshots can help, saving for offline use needs checking and testing yourself, as using the mobile phone in the field is very difficult, and some sites, like Heritage Victoria, are nearly impossible to work, unless you're using a desktop computer. That some areas you'd have thought were covered, and aren't, is similar to what you're saying about trying prospecting in between known sites, but mindful to not leaving disturbance, not drawing attention to yourself, on what you're doing, or what you're looking for, or have found. Respectful discretion compared to disrespectful indiscretion, one is won reward, the other is cheating plunder. Continued good luck!
