I upgraded from the iPhone 12 Pro Max until the 15 Pro Max. I am done now. There is nothing so compelling about the 16 PM that would cause me to upgrade. I suspect that will be the case moving forward.
As a long time Android user and currently switched to the complete Apple ecosystem for the last three years I’m still in the camp of Apple don’t create, they really just copy and make things cooler . The only thing Apple has done well is their Apple Watch and AirPods. They didn’t create these form factors but they’ve made them work well within their own ecosystem.
Interesting. I looked at some of your recommendations - Craft and Objective Reality AI caught my eye - but honestly, I don’t use AI or notes enough to justify the subscriptions. I’ll stick with Grok or whatever Apple builds into their OS for now. As for the iPhone - mine’s an old Xr - getting slow, but - again - I don’t use it enough to justify the expense of a newer replacement. 🤷♂️ I live on my iPad and upgraded to an M4 iPad Pro not too long ago, so I’m pretty much set.
A couple things. Apple's innovation driven culture died when Jobs died and Cook took over. Yet it may not be Apple's fault entiriely. There is only so many advances that can be done when it comes to the iPhone. I use an iPhone 12 Pro and while I admit I need to change the battery, I don't have a strong desire to spend another $1000 on a device just to have the latest and greatest that I don't even fully optimize already. Same is true for my M1 iPad Pro. I'm writing this on a 2013 27 inch iMac. I enjoy my Apple products very much but like you said, where is that new.....fill in the blank.... and no, a homepod with a screen attached to it doesn't count! I did break down and get an M2 Macbook Air during Black Friday to replace my 2015 Air... HaHa!!
Dex is dead, comparing to Apple isn't a comparison worth making… Samsung havent and aren't developing it…. No mention in S25 launch. Glasses using dex is futuristic, its backward, mouse?? Should ben and gestures and eye tracking…
