@@mcsmasher1332 well I guess they needed SOMETHING to make Mario stand out and prevent you from playing the whole game as someone else when they are unlocked
Something worth mentioning when you compared graphics: Mario's DS model actually has less polygons than on the N64, yet still looks better, so that helps your argument that the DS version looks better.
They don't want Luigi in Mario 64 as children and teens who didn't have access to the internet that we have, they thought he was in there. As adults I guarantee that nobody asks for Luigi in a 20 year old game
back in the day there was always a rumor that luigi was in n64 theres even a video with a few million vies on how to get luigi filled with dislikes cause it was fake
I grew up with the DS version, so going back to the original was a real shock to me graphically. Especially looking at Bower's model and his footsteps 🤣
I only played about an hour of the DS, but I grew up heavily with the 64 version and beat it so many times as a kid and almost got every star. When I got 3D All Stars I was also shocked at how terrible the camera controls were and had a lot of trouble getting stars I had no problem with as a child or even teenager.
When bowser kidnapped princess eggman, Mario had to save her and start a flame war about her new name... even though no one cared when dr. Toadstool became dr. Peach
The DS aversion looks better though because: A. A lower resolution hides the polygonal look. B. The textures aren’t “fill tool red” or “fill tool white” like the original.
The funny thing is that some people complain about something frustrating or complicated in sm64, but when it gets fixed in the ds remake they complain because it's too easy
@@7ClearlyMythic6452 Not to mention that this review even had a part where Exo argued with the complaints the controls of the N64 version get. And yet, he did make them look responsive, like longplayers of the game like cubex55 (and World of Longplays). Maybe he’s just too good at the game? Because I don’t think the gameplay of Super Mario 64 (N64) aged half as well as the soundtrack or even the old-school 3D graphics of this version. m.ruclips.net/video/jcWUuFz595o/видео.html
It is almost like fixing that thing AND giving you a character like Yoshi forced by default makes it too easy. To even feel the fix as Mario you actively have to go out of your way to get Mario and choose to play as him. After playing as Yoshi for awhile. There is a healthy balance, when you do 50 things at once it will almost always be overkill.
Oh my goodness I love the DS version. My mom is no gamer but she loves when "green hat man" and the card game. She would take my DS and play the mini game for hours.
Unfortunately, the game HAS TO kick you out upon collecting a star, because SOMETIMES the level changes depending on the mission selected, like Koopa the Quick and some bosses' sawning, the ship in JRB, the snowman's body in Cool Cool Mountain, etc. It's kind of a half-baked idea, fully realized in Sunshine.
@@quackywhackityphillyb.3005 Those actually do kick you out. You just don't really notice it because they are set up in a way where you are naturally going to hit the switch before getting the star.
Well, sorry to hear that. I didn't really mean it that way, I was more just joking around about the volume of requests. If I really didn't want to make a video about Super Mario 64, I wouldn't have done it. By all means, keep making requests.
If I’m going to be honest the ds mario games are underrated, with the exception of mkds. Nsmbds is seen to most people as just another new super Mario bros game, no one talks about mario party ds and almost no one I’ve talked to has heard of mario vs donkey Kong 2 march of the minis, it had a level editor like super Mario maker.
@@bingobo2551 1) NSMB was underwhelming and played it too safe 2) Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 was a letdown when the minis took control of the series. I want more Mario, not the mini toys.
Wario gets less damage from everything but falling. He makes more damage to pretty much any enemy and Boss, which means you only need to hit certain Mini-Bosses like Boos only twice instead if 3 times :)
for me when you're kicked out the level after completing a star, it makes me get a sense of completion. instead of a sense of going from point a to point b.
The DS remake was the version of SM64 I grew up with, especially that the Wii and DS were the prime selling Nintendo consoles of the time. I got a DS in 2010 and was able to get the DS version easily. Comparing the quality and amount of content in each of the games, I still believe the DS remake is far better.
@@bN_isheeere The D-Pad is definitely an issue, but I think it's worth pointing out how other people can point at outdated aspects of the original N64 game and still say the game's good in spite of them, despite a notable portion of the younger generation disagreeing. It's one of those limitations that, if you grew up with it, is unlikely to come across as bad to you. I definitely have memories of trying to juggle the various control options in SM64DS, because none of them felt quite right, but eventually I got there, and I was able to consider it the better game despite having been there when the original game released (and renting the hell out of an N64 to play it). And things got way better when I got to replay the game on the 3DS, with an analog stick.
I might even argue that Odyssey is more of a collectathon than SM64 was. The coins actually unlock content, and Stars are literally something you collect in the world more often.
I love my collectathons! Rayman has been great fun. Super Mario Run has been great as well but just too chaotic and I feel like I'm grinding playing it to collect everything. Not too many recent games that follow that formula unfortunately.
The Amazing Clockwork Knights but that doesn’t change the fact the game isn’t built with control stick in mind since the DS didn’t have one, so you’re limited to 8 directions anyway. Not to mention you still have to press Y to run. Honestly, on 3DS it’s just a bit better, nothing more.
@@johnwarosa2905 on the 64 yes but the ds version got locked into eight because d pad and a 3ds control stick doesn't automatically make it 360 degrees, because the game was designed with eight directions for that port
@@Cross-chan Did you not listen? The game is NOT locked to 8 directions. An example for such a game would be metroid other m or links awakening remake. 64ds features gradual turning which allows 360° movement with just a dpad. Its the same way spyro the dragon has 360° movement on the ps1 with just a dpad
@@johnwarosa2905 you know that makes me question the people who argue against 64DS. If people can deal with the PS1 games that did have analog support but dont have the dual shock and have to use a D pad for those games, why dont I hear them complain? It makes me think it's a big case of no analog stick no play! And that's honestly really dumb considering how much was added.
He meant collectathons as an entire genre, not as the rare one-off game getting heaps of love. Collectathons were all over the place back in the late 90s. Kind of like battle royale games now, except imagine games releasing much faster than they currently do.
It probably wouldn't have been my childhood because I didn't get a 3ds till I was like 8 when I had a ds and mario 64 since I was 4 so It wouldn't have have had that many special memories
By the way; one last thing of note. I recorded the N64 version off of the original hardware with S-Video, so I played the game with the original controller. I played a little bit of the Wii U port just to show it off for the review, and I swear the controls feel worse than they do on the original hardware. If your only exposure to the N64 controls is through Virtual Console, that could possibly explain any difficulties you might have with them.
Wii U version not only has bad controller deadzones, but Wii U VC has an awful input delay that ruins NES, SNES, and N64 VC games and makes them borderline unplayable. This lag is not present in Wii VC games, even when played on Wii U (just in case anyone was planning to tell me it's just my TV causing lag, it's not).
I did some testing and the Wii U VC version of all N64 games have some noticeable input lag. Its pretty minor, and for someone like me its easy to adjust too, but I can imagine it being a nightmare for others.
Definitely depends on the game too. I actually quite enjoyed Mario 64 on there, but F-Zero was just ridiculous without those. I've complete FAST Racing Neo 100% and beaten most of F-Zero GX, and F-Zero X was borderline unplayable as the attack command wouldn't really work and you couldn't make any kind of subtle steering adjustments. Quite a shame too, because it looks much better than even playing on my CRT
Wow, the ending to this Remake or Rebreak shocked me. I expected at most a "Remake" but mostly expected "Re-Meh", and I was pleasantly shocked, since the DS remake is one of my favorite Mario games of all time.
64 DS has incredible extra content, and it really outdid itself with that. I would've marked it as remake instead of remake, because it doesn't feel as fluid, control wise.
@@animatorbroman3710 I've 100%ed the game and played it from beginning to end a second time. It still felt pretty bad too control, though the circle pad really helps with diagonal movement.
Everytime I go back to this review, I never care how old this video is. I just ache hearing how hard the comments made you feel about your intro segments. But then you turn it around, pick the momentum back up and pull off a fantastic analysis of SM64's two versions. DS for the win, heck they brought back Yoshi when he was planned as a crucial lead player focus in the first place! Based on that alone as a call back, I could tell it was a remake treated well. But again I'd hate to see the effort you go to tarnished by people who try to tear you down. In more recent reviews I've seen you take the camera away but keep the flair-filled intros, and I'm glad you stuck to your guns and kept to what comes naturally. So just coming back here for the virtual hug I suppose.
Doesn't it suck when children learn a new word. I've always enjoyed a scripted video more than an unscripted one. It's why I don't care about podcasts. They just feel so lazy and makes me think if I'm gonna support someone, it's gonna be the one putting in the effort.

ExoParadigmGamer good thing you didn't look at EVERY detail because it would turn into a 3 hour video and trust me there is a 3 hour long video about the difference between 64 and DS
Plot Twist: Luigi is just an alter ego of Mario, and doesn't actually exist. Thats why at the end of Super Mario World the end cutscene reads, "Mario's adventure is over. Mario, the Princess, Yoshi, and his friends are going to take a vacation." This also explains the "L is real" thing in 64. Thats Mario trying to cope with living a double life.
kingvideogames I bought my N64 DS cartridge in junior high school from my friend and I enjoyed it a lot. Haven't tried the original yet though but maybe I should just to see if I really agree with all of these views on this video by having authentic gaming experince of both. Edit: Probably I should have an authentic N64 controller to justify my experience instead of emulator. I should ask from a friend to loan his retro N64 if he has SM64 on it.
I disagree. I've tried using the 3DS circle pad. Moving it around when wanting to turn either doesn't do anything other than walk forward or activates the diagonal input and I can't tell when that transition is made because it's a circle pad. I'd honestly just much rather use the D-pad.
@@Paul-lt8le Actually, it does work with the circlepad. I play it on my 3Ds all the time, so.. It's far easier too. I find it to be way smoother, and tend to forget the D-Pad exists lol
I'll admit, playing it now on the Switch the game is showing it's age and it feels antiquated. The camera is driving me nuts. I had way too many "d'oh" deaths because of it. Maybe I will revisit the 3DS version after playing through the original on the Switch. Maybe one day we'll get another remake of the game with better graphics, camera, and controls.
@@projectzx471 its probably due to the much better camera system, and the original game having analog support still has remnants in the DS version despite the D pad
My single problem with SM64DS is that your character defaults to walking. I really wish there was an option to run as default and set the 'RUN' button to a 'WALK' button instead. Other than that, I totally love the game.
Mint Jeffer yep. I just think that people are idiots when they say the dpad ruined the game. Sure it’s worse then the n64, however is still fun with it. A run button still sucks though.
Link's Awakening Switch is such an obvious rebreak. Yeah sure, target 60 fps but constantly constantly _constantly_ drop to 30 fps or lower. Goddamn unplayable. Put the Switch version in the trash where it belongs and stick to the GameBoy versions.
Like the 3D Sonic games of old and new, Mario 64 and other Mario games like it prove that there are different ways to enjoy a series regardless of origin or reception. Thank you for clearing that up man. You really are one of my favorite reviewers on RUclips. :)

Honestly I remember the controls working perfectly, I can boot this game up if anyone wants to challenge that but I think they did a great job implementing the D-pad.
Same. The shoulder buttons, abyx, and d pad worked great for me. I just didn't like that I had to quickly removed my right thumb from the abyx to turn the camera
I love that sm64 ds is more modernized. It has a different model for Bowser, boos, and thwomps, which makes it look more modern similarly to modern Mario games unlike sm64, which has models that look a little wierd
Knowing about Super Mario odyssey I believe that collectathons may be coming back seeing as yes, odyssey has a story that requires point A to B and off to the net kingdom. But when you return to the kingdoms. You get tons of moons and purple coins to grab. And Nintendo knows they are going back to SM64’s gameplay style. Seeing as they implemented loads of Easter eggs in odyssey and even requirements to find these references. So I am happy that we are going back to its roots in SM64
its realy a get used to it kind of thing. They just feel different, but once you get used to it, its fine. (I use the D-Pad mode, the pen mode is precise, but its a bit weird)
NFN//NintendoFanNetwork 2018 However, most of those extra moons are just fillers because they are just simple objectives that come out of nowhere in close proximity to each other.
The best part about the Rabbits is that you can be in the middle of doing something, and all of a sudden you see the glowing rabbit, and you just HAVE to get it before your bus gets to school..
As someone who recently replayed the game in anticipation of odyssey, I recommend to anyone playing on the DS cartridge to use a 3ds if you have one. Even with my broken circle pad, the controls felt better, even for me, someone who has never touched the N64 version in their life. It's a great game though, and I only need one reason. It's just fun.
As someone who just tested this with a DS lite and then a new 3DS... it's not that much different. I would say it is an improvement but not overly worth it
Someone finally agrees with me on Star Road. The game is cool but the level design does not match the flawed controls. I only got partway through before I gave up.
What a great video! Holy shit man this was so in depth yet interesting and it was structured so well I only meant to watch for a bit and ended up watching the entire thing in 1 go
Tom5tom Entertainment on the N64 version, after rotating the analog stick enough to get your swing up to full speed, u can simply hold the analog either up-left or up-right and it will maintain that speed without destroying both your hand and the controller.
when ever i was fighting bowers i have my stylist ready in my left hand so the moment i catch his tail i can quick switch to spin him around it made it much easier to get him to connect with a bomb
I disagree, The game controls feels completely broken when played side by side with the 64, The 3DS circle pad does nothing....Still digital input. I would prefer this version if it weren't for the controls.
"A glaring case of Star Fox Zeroitis" Thank you! People will swear up and down that Star Fox Zero has horrible controls that make the game unplayable. Absolutely not true! If you actually take the time to learn how to use the new control scheme, and pay attention to the tutorials that the game kindly gives you (including the challenges that allow you to further familiarize with the controls), you'll be getting every medal and beating the game to completion in no time! Are the controls perfect? Definitely not, I can see why some people would have issues, but they aren't as bad as people like to claim that they are. I got the hang of the controls during the tutorial that the game immediately throws the player into. Not only did I pay attention, but I also went in with an open mind (and I was well aware of the different controls before the game came out thanks to Treehouse Live, as well as other videos that covered the game before launch). I got all 70 medals in the game, even though I'm _far_ from the best player, and I enjoyed every second of it. Sector Omega is still a thrill ride, definitely my favorite level! Star Fox Zero is my favorite Star Fox game of all time, and that's not going to change any time soon.
Kinda silly to nitpick things like SM64 returning you to the castle after collecting a star. This game invented the entire genre of the 3d platformer collectathon; really it invented, or at the very least popularized, the entire 3d genre on console, so obviously they weren't going to get everything perfect from the perspective of modern gaming hindsight. "Imagine if Banjo Kazooie or Spyro ejected you from a stage after getting a collectible" Imagine if SM64 never existed, because if it didn't neither of those games would either. While we're on the subject, why don't the original Doom games have mouselook, I mean that's ridiculous, what were they thinking gise? See what I mean, how silly that is?
Mario DS was way better IMO, I used to think the opposite was true but when I eventually lost that Nostalgia from playing N64 for all those many years and came to this conclusion. Reasons: Better Visuals (Come on N64 graphics were incredibly hard to make out) More stars Better controls IMO Better frame rate Speed running tricks are much easier to execute in DS than in N64 (Basic speed tricks like long forward kick and the almighty dive) But both will still have you screaming in agony when you miss a dive
@@Swgstve I'm playing both versions back to back and I wanna tell you that both the camera and the controls are much better in the DS version than in the original

64 DS was so fun to play when I was a kid. The kids at this daycare I went to had a copy and I remember we would all play multi-player, glitching to enter the cannon and just have a good time chilling on the roof
I prefer the N64 original, HOWEVER it's purely out of retro appeal and nostalgia. Mario 64 is a game close to my heart, but it hasn't aged well, it needed the remake it got, I would even say it deserved that remake. Mario 64DS stands as an excellent game in its own right, and while I don't love every change it made, it is a must own title for any platformer enthusiast. Always look forward to your videos, dood, keep up the great work
I love how you admit you love the original because of nostalgia, just like I'd probaly not connect with the OG as much because I have nostalgia for the remake.

Glad I'm not the only person that didn't have a problem with D-pad controls. The way I've heard other people talk about them as if they were unplayable almost unanimously over the course of years, I was beginning to think I was crazy.
Full disclaimer: I've never played Super Mario 64 on the original N64 Hardware, so I have no nostalgia bias. (Sue me.) That means the DS version is the only one I've actually experienced (and even completed). That being said: The controls were shyte. They were horrendously imprecise, especially for slow movement on thin walkways. The D-pad was clunky as hell and while the touch controls felt more smooth, they also had a will of their own, ignoring input ever so often or occasionally going into directions I didn't tell them to. I played other 3D action games and platformers on the same system and while I always noticed the limitations of the hardware, it never felt this bad. While Nintendo probably did the best they could given the circumstances, this is a game that probably should never have released on a system without a circle pad. Playing the 3D remasters of Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask makes me wonder how much better this game could have been, had they waited one more generation. Another thing I noticed is your response to the claim that the original had bad controls. Now, again, I've never played the original, so I don't know if it does or doesn't, but your response basically boils down to "It could be worse" while showing inferior(?) Mario romhacks. "It could be worse" is never an argument. I could show you dozens of games with bad controls that could easily be made even worse, but that doesn't absolve them from their faults. Once again, I don't claim that Mario 64 HAS bad controls, because I don't know. I just feel that the argumentation is flawed... All I all, I still enjoyed your video. Having no experience with the original, I don't know if I'd agree with the verdict or not, but it was an interesting insight nonetheless. Keep up the good work.
ILoveBees That's interesting, because once I got used to it, I had absolutely no problem mastering the DS game using the D-pad. It wasn't perfect, but I certainly wouldn't call it shit.
When I push a button and the game moves me in a completely different, random direction (or occasionally doesn't react at all), there's nothing to master about it. You can only pray to RNGesus...
ILoveBees Random directions? Maybe your DS is broken? Like I said, I had no problem mastering the controls. It took a little time, sure, mostly because I kept switching between the D-pad and stylus control schemes to figure out which I liked best. Just git gud, bro.
The only thing holding me back from loving this remake is the controls. A d pad and run button do not work in a 3D space (unless it was designed to work, like in Mario 3D World)
3D games on a D-Pad are perfectly controllable, you just need to know how to control it properly. I just Thank God you aren’t one of those people that say “A run button is insulting.”
@@PhantomHavok It is controllable, it simply just takes a while to get used do To be honest the D-Pad controls are way better than the touch screen controls
Origonal Hexatendo No. They had to rebuild the entire engine for Mother 1+2, which explains why the Beating Giygas without Praying Glitch and Using an Exit Mouse to Escape the Cave of the Past Glitch are on the GBA Version only.
My reaction at the beginning: Never seen this channel befo- oh this guy looks and sounds like a cocky douche. 15 Seconds later: Wait! He sounds so genuine...and isn't trying too hard by writing a subpar script! Liked and subbed.
I mostly agree on the DS controls, they did whatever they could, but for me it still doesn't feel as good, mostly because of the run and dive buttons. In 3D Land it's no issue to hold the run button all the time because there isn't a third main button that you have to use, but in SM64 DS it's very awkward to switch from the run button to the dive button (Y to A). For this reason I punch and dive way less here than on the N64 which is a shame because in the original it's one of the most satisfying moves to do.

I think the only stars that don't kick you out are the ones that you get after getting 100 coins.
@@EmperorSarco Almost. The 8-red coin stars in the Bowser stages also don't kick you out.
@@19Szabolcs91 also the switch stars.
@@quackywhackityphillyb.3005 Those actually do kick you out. You just don't really notice it because they are set up in a way where you are naturally going to hit the switch before getting the star.

Bingobo 25 Yeah, but Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 was kind of lame compared to the original on the GBA.
@@bingobo2551 1) NSMB was underwhelming and played it too safe

Wario gets less damage from everything but falling. He makes more damage to pretty much any enemy and Boss, which means you only need to hit certain Mini-Bosses like Boos only twice instead if 3 times :)

Michael 7 always felt the same way, was never bothered by getting kicked out, never crossed my mind
even back in the 2000s i complained abt mario 64 kicking you out of the stage for every star other than 100 coin star while other games don't
If the 100 coin star was either A) not in the game or B) like the other stars I'd agree with this comment
Still doesn't excuse it.
Thats it that’s why I don’t like odyssey
The DS remake was the version of SM64 I grew up with, especially that the Wii and DS were the prime selling Nintendo consoles of the time. I got a DS in 2010 and was able to get the DS version easily. Comparing the quality and amount of content in each of the games, I still believe the DS remake is far better.
Same with what I got, so when I played the original game i didn’t enjoy it like I did with the DS version.

And a Time Piece!
I might even argue that Odyssey is more of a collectathon than SM64 was. The coins actually unlock content, and Stars are literally something you collect in the world more often.
The genre didnt come back but the games did
I love my collectathons! Rayman has been great fun. Super Mario Run has been great as well but just too chaotic and I feel like I'm grinding playing it to collect everything. Not too many recent games that follow that formula unfortunately.
Got a Golden Spatula
Mario 64 DS can be used on the 3DS and it amazing because you don’t need the Dpad
@@davion4777 he even explains how the game isnt locked to 8 directions...
@@johnwarosa2905 on the 64 yes
but the ds version got locked into eight because d pad and a 3ds control stick doesn't automatically make it 360 degrees, because the game was designed with eight directions for that port
@@Cross-chan Did you not listen? The game is NOT locked to 8 directions. An example for such a game would be metroid other m or links awakening remake. 64ds features gradual turning which allows 360° movement with just a dpad.
I love the part when he’s talking about how collectathons may never be mainstream again because odyssey came out like a few months after this
Yeah but mario is like the only mainstream collectathon
He meant collectathons as an entire genre, not as the rare one-off game getting heaps of love. Collectathons were all over the place back in the late 90s. Kind of like battle royale games now, except imagine games releasing much faster than they currently do.

ExoParadigmGamer Are you exited for Super Mario Odyssey?
ExoParadigmGamer The Wii U issues are due to a weird thing with controller dead zones, it makes F-Zero X pretty much unplayable unfortunately
I agree. It's in my Top 3 Mario games up with NSMB ds and Super Mario Odyssey.
yeah, this game was my childhood i love it
64 DS has incredible extra content, and it really outdid itself with that. I would've marked it as remake instead of remake, because it doesn't feel as fluid, control wise.
@@TheAbsol7448 It's a learning curve like learning to ride a bike again.

Plot twist: peach is actually eggman in drag
now that is a Shamalan twist
Plot Twist: Luigi is just an alter ego of Mario, and doesn't actually exist. Thats why at the end of Super Mario World the end cutscene reads, "Mario's adventure is over. Mario, the Princess, Yoshi, and his friends are going to take a vacation." This also explains the "L is real" thing in 64. Thats Mario trying to cope with living a double life.

A way to make the controls better if you don't like it, 3DS Circle Pad. Works amazingly well

I disagree. I've tried using the 3DS circle pad. Moving it around when wanting to turn either doesn't do anything other than walk forward or activates the diagonal input and I can't tell when that transition is made because it's a circle pad. I'd honestly just much rather use the D-pad.

I honestly don’t mind the controls in Mario 64 DS. In fact I’m so used to them since I grew up with the game & it has a much better camera
NFN//NintendoFanNetwork 2018 However, most of those extra moons are just fillers because they are just simple objectives that come out of nowhere in close proximity to each other.

"A glaring case of Star Fox Zeroitis"
Thank you!
The problem, I think, isn't the controls, but the NUMBER of controls. There are too many ships/forms. Just one is overwhelming, let alone six...

Mario DS was way better IMO, I used to think the opposite was true but when I eventually lost that Nostalgia from playing N64 for all those many years and came to this conclusion.
Reasons:
Better Visuals (Come on N64 graphics were incredibly hard to make out)

Better controls IMO
Better frame rate
Speed running tricks are much easier to execute in DS than in N64 (Basic speed tricks like long forward kick and the almighty dive)

Remake or rebreak is still really good. Some of the best reviewing I've seen of video games
Always look forward to your videos, dood, keep up the great work
Micaiah the Otaku Gamer [HybridAngelZero] as he said just because the ds version is better it doesnt mean you cant have fun with the original
Micaiah the Otaku Gamer [HybridAngelZero] nostalgia fans are the worst, cancer of gaming
I love how you admit you love the original because of nostalgia, just like I'd probaly not connect with the OG as much because I have nostalgia for the remake.
I really don't mind the scripted speech (I actually like it). But unscripted stuff just feels more real
8:09 Oh don't be so apathetic. Peach's cake is obviously high quality. She's had Toadsworth around her since she was a baby, do you really think a butler who looks that fucking British wouldn't have taught her to make a damn fine cake?
Me: why is this an hour long?
Also me: *one hour later* Well I watched the whole thing 😂
Primal Fear 1 year later : you have no comments.
Why is your name Kyle S now
Do ya'll have nothing better to do? Leave me alone. Thanks
Kyle S you posted here, just delete the comment and then no one will say anything lol
Cheeseboi so let me make sure I have this right. I have someone who is stalking/harassing me about changing my name on MY account and the solution is for me to delete the comment? How about you get better as a person instead so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again.
i’ve lost count of how many times i’ve watched this video over the years, it’s an absolute youtube classic for me
Me as well. He does a really great job at critiquing games even if he has fond old memories.
Did you just make a reference to Shrek 2 when you mentioned the deserts and blizzards?
Yes. Yes he did.
As much as I love the N64 version, I will always love the DS one the most since I grew up with it
I grew up playing the DS Version. Honestly it's my favourite Nintendo game out there!
7:20
Exo 2017: "Ladies and gentlemen, the meme is oficially dead."
2020, 3D All Stars: "Hold my polygons."
The comments will always say you suck dude. Just do it the way you wanna do it and the good fans will come. You will see a big difference between the trolls and the fans afte you have been at it for awhile. Keep you head up and be brave. Its not easy to be an entertainer.
Well said.
Exactly
No one’s mentioning this, but he said he could never see collect-a-thons becoming mainstream again. Now Odyssey is one of the best selling games ever
Great video man!
I like both versions.
Play it on the 3DS, the circle pad is much smoother than the d-pad and touch controls
ILoveBees you master the control not complain about it
When I push a button and the game moves me in a completely different, random direction (or occasionally doesn't react at all), there's nothing to master about it.
A d pad and run button do not work in a 3D space (unless it was designed to work, like in Mario 3D World)
Agreed, I like SM64DS, but if given the choice I’ll always pop in the original, I’d rather play on a tv and have superior control
3D games on a D-Pad are perfectly controllable, you just need to know how to control it properly.
I just Thank God you aren’t one of those people that say “A run button is insulting.”
@@PhantomHavok It is controllable, it simply just takes a while to get used do
To be honest the D-Pad controls are way better than the touch screen controls
Raunchy Conservative not really, if your gonna take it that way both suck.
Raunchy Conservative it does work. It works well
Exo is a RUclipsr that rarely uploads, but when he does it feels like christmas.
Also, Dire Diarrhea Dicks
Because i thought it was funny
Yeah, you need time to make great videos.
Are you ever going to do an ROR of EarthBound Beginnings (NES) and EarthBound (SNES) Vs. Mother 1+2 (GBA)?
The Cutehog Team
That would be amazing
The Cutehog Team That would be pretty cool. (In other words, YES PLEASE)
The Cutehog Team That's an RPG. That would take at least 6 hours.
And plus, those are straight ports.
Liked and subbed.
you like and sub to fast that being said i like every video i click on instantly though i dont subscribe to anyone anymore
Arwel Murray oh okay
@GForceFGT what???
To my knowledge you can still dive with Y... as well as B
