  • Job Referrals are the cheat code. According to a recent survey by Pinpoint, a referral is 7X more likely to get hired than someone that applied from a job board!
Recruiters know that and now actively ask their existing employees…”who do you know what might be a good fit?”, companies also offer referral bonuses to encourage employees to referral friends, former colleagues or even your old boss!
In this video, I break down the dos and don’t but first let’s define a referral:
A referral is when an existing employee at a company you want to work at gives you an internal recommendation or referral to be hired for a job posted externally(LinkedIn, career page or Job board).
The benefits of a referral are: 1) higher probability of a job interview, 2) a HUMAN will review your resume, and 3) streamlines your interview process.
But PLEASE don’t make the mistake coach did when trying to execute this play….don’t APPLY and then ask for a referral…wait for the internal employee to submit the referral or send you a link to apply.
I’m back y’all, more career heat coming your way
