So i just found Petra through a recommendation from my sister. i have always done exercise in one form or another, walking, strength training, aerobics, etc. I've faced challenges over the years, hip & knee replaced due to arthritis. but for the past few years I've dealt with an ankle issue that has been painful, i pushed through as long as i could but finally sought treatment. i am bone on bone in the talus which is the joint that makes your ankle flex side to side. that was bad enough but the treatment i was given was worse, i was put on a walking boot and then a custom ankle brace that immobilized the ankle, yep it helped with pain but it badly threw off my gait causing my replaced knee that has scar tissue, my good hip and back to start to be extremely painful. on top of that i was dealing with a frozen shoulder. a second opinion netted a cortisone shot in the ankle, no brace and a slow recovery. With all of this i have felt myself get weaker this past year, limping around from my knee, fear that if i fell i wouldn't be able to get back up. Then...I found Petra! After trying her 12 minute full body exercise i noticed my knee didn't hurt as much, the video had me using my knee in ways i had not thought possible and the relief from the pain was noticeable. I just finished this 10 minute leg video and have the same result. I am beyond thrilled that these short, gentle exercises seem to be helping in ways i cant believe. I will continue to do these, starting slow with 1 a day with my walk. I believe i may be back on the road to better strength. I'm 62 now and don't want to go through life gimpy and hurting. Thank you Petra!
