Looked it up, Jacen pops was really clapping green cheeks thats CRAZY
Lol
I would too ngl
Which ones?
Calling Kanan, Jacen's pops, has the same energy as Boruto's dad... it's CRAZY 💀💀
You mean Kanan?
Anakin was so upset Ahsoka lost the fight that he pulled up and said "Nah. Back to basics" 😂
“You lost and he knew YOU WERE MY padawan, I can’t let that happen to my legacy as a Jedi and teacher”😂
He like "you are a former pupil of a skywalker, you must learn to represent"
Anakin really was like, " At this point, the only one you should be losing to is me... and maybe my son, but mostly me! We're fixing that mindset of yours, whether you like it or not! No ifs, ands, or buts!"
He didn’t “lose” she literally only kicked him🤣
Back to square one 😅
Just gotta say how happy I am Sheera understood the lesson Anakin was trying to teach. I've seen a lot of people online completely miss the point.
The fact that almost nobody clearly understood the lesson, prove how poorly it was tell.
@@nicolasvergne757 I don't think it was poorly told, when you think about which elements were included in the vision and show for first-time watchers, and Ahsokas journey as a whole for longer time watchers, the messaging is clear.
But it isn't literally spelled out, and I think we're all so used to the 'dumbed down' stories where you always have a character voice *exactly* what they just learned that people are forgetting to think when they see thins one.
Sheera is a god when it comes to picking up subtle things in storytelling
@@nicolasvergne757 People tend to miss it when 90% of the people watching the episode keep screaming over everything Anakin says, lol.
@@andre3328so far we are assuming the lesson she learned. If you cut the whole Anakin sequence, the episde remains the same. Ahsoka will act the same in the second part.
For me, it was just pure fan service.
Also, we still don't know why she didn't simply drown.
She’s like the first reactor that understood Anakin’s final lesson. She was stuck on the past and the fear of making mistakes and failing. He was trying to show/remind her that it’s ok to make mistakes. When she still wasn’t listening, he pulled out Darth Vader to do the trick. He made possibly the biggest mistake in the history of the galaxy, and was still redeemed in the end. If she wasn’t going to understand that, she was beyond help… there’s always a way forward as long as she keeps fighting.
It’s weird how many people missed the padawan part too. When she asked if that was all she’d have to teach her padawan someday and anakin said “do you even want a padawan?” You can see why she shut out sabine
Honestly i think people who have watched CW and Rebels and read everything that came out in-between get so bogged down in the details that they overcomplicate the explanation. The vision includes exactly the elements needed to tell that story
Was that anikins actual force ghost?
@@macvadda2318 I think it was. He pulled her in and then put her back in the water that he'd pulled her out of.
I'd argue the Rakatans made the biggest mistake in the galaxy by enslaving the entirety of it and not being ready for a galactic slave revolt. But that's if we're talking the actual HISTORY of the galaxy. Lol
Arianna Greenblatt did a excellent job as young Ahsoka. It never clicked when watching The Clone Wars exactly how young Ahsoka was.
Fr, I pictured her as being a young adult in the show
Yeah that's what happens in animated shows you forget that at the end of the day these are still kids in stressful situations and that's putting it mildly
Both her and anakin are teenagers during their time in the clone wars.
Yeah I believe Ashoka was only 14 when she became his padawan.
@@zimvader25 Anakin is in his early 20s and Ahsoka is her mid teens during the Clone Wars.
"One is never too old to learn, snips". He was 45 when he died. Ahsoka is 47.
To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was her age.
From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments.
And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her.
You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader. Just surviving is as good as death.
At least that's my take on it.
The first sentence, I thought it was a reference about how the Jedi Council considered him too old to be a Padawan and start his training too?
Really well said! Very well articulated. "Just surviving is as good as death." is an exceptional line.
She's 47 but in Togruta years she like a 25-30 year old human
Its unconfirmed what exact year the show takes place in, it could still be 9 ABY, which then she would be the same age as when he died, 45
@@anonymous-hz2un Its your problem if you didnt get it, I understood the lesson too
The transition from Anakin to Vader through the smoke is very fitting. Since Vader is always ready for the smoke. Demon time. All the time.
All jokes aside, really glad they've been using Hayden more lately. Man has talent
Hayden Christensen hasn't missed a beat as Anakin and this episode gives whole Clone Wars vibes
He’s amazingly talented as always, and still smooth as hell with a lightsaber. I’m so glad he got to come back and get a warm reception this time around, he deserves nothing but love and praise for perfectly playing Anakin 😭🙌
The Ahsoka episode of the short series "Tales of a Jedi" showed her with the force ability to connect with beasts since birth
Good call. Also, Anakin's training was almost exclusively focused on lightsaber combat and using to force to augment oneself in combat. She rarely applied her force abilities elsewhere so there are a lot of unknowns about what she can do.
As the live-action series jumps into another galaxy, Dave Filoni seems to finally be recapturing the character dynamics that made his animated shows so emotionally powerful.
People keep forgetting that George Lucas was still making the decision back when clone wars came out. He was the reason Maul was brought back when meanwhile everybody called him insane especially Filoni & then he did it & went to everyone after & said see he was right. It’s the reason Filoni decided to kill off Maul for no reason whatsoever in rebels when he had so much more to give. Lucas was also the reason that clone wars was made because he waited many years after the original trilogy because he wanted to create Anakin’s story but said it would take too much time & cgi wasn’t as advanced as it is today, so he waited to make the prequels then he wanted to make an animated show so that he could use the smaller budget more wisely to expand his story. Lucas hasn’t been involved with most of the new stuff which is why most of the new stuff just feel … different. He’s supposedly been on set for this show though
@@packedentertainment2866 Filoni killed Maul because there was nothing else to do with him since Disney threw out all of Lucas' plans for Maul being the Sequel villain.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 exactly because Filoni didn’t know what to do with Lucas’ creation without Lucas’ ideas. But if George was still in charge then he would’ve known exactly what to do. There was so much more that Maul could’ve done

Don't you dare take away the beautiful tragedy that is the Twin Suns. The poetry of that finale encounter with "Kenooobiiiiiii!" to his final moment was some of the best animated Star Wars ever. Next time to Clone Wars Season 6-7 and Bad Batch. Sam Witwer got teary eyed after voicing those lines for Maul because of how much emotion he'd built up for the character over the years of hunting Kenobi.
@@TheEclipse420 I disagree
The composer, Kevin Kiner, and his team killed it this episode. The score during the flashback sequence was hauntingly beautiful.
Idk man, the music in these shows has very, very little movie vibes. It tries to be different and I would prefer it to be more like the movies. There's a rescore for the Anakin VS Ahsoka scene on YT with prequel music. It makes the fight even better
Definitely watch not only Clone Wars but Rebels, too. Filoni's building a history that's worth seeing.
Hated the art style unfortunately. 😔
Gets better. Same style, but more detailed and Star Wars like
Agreed - there are so many throw backs from CW, Rebels. BOM took place when Annakin was killing young lines in the Temple I believe
@@UnCreativeDeconstructionismIMO its easy to ignore with how great the story is.
Clone wars the animated series is my favorite Star Wars series and pretty much got me hooked and followed all the lore
I love Ashoka acting more like her free yet calm and wise self. The demeanor change was beautiful.
You know how that's really anakin besides Jacen hearing their training ... is the reference to luke and return of the jedi ... Luke "I won't fight you father" ... Ashoka ... "I won't fight you" ... Anakin... "I've heard that before "
Pretty sure Ahsoka also said the same thing when they met during Rebels

No matter what we think of both shows as a whole, Hayden has absolutely crushed it in his return. Been an absolute pleasure to watch him.
This episode was written and directed by Dave Filoni, the man behind both Clone Wars and Rebels. Both of those shows feel exactly like this 70% of the time.
This episodes is one of the greatest things we’ve gotten in live action Star Wars in YEARS
I respect Hayden for willing to adapt and settle into his Clone Wars character, a lot of actors would be too proud and force their own portrayal
I would love for you guys to react to Clone Wars, Tales of the Jedi, and Rebels. When you can get to it of course. There's so much peak content in those shows it's actually unbelievable. They're written and directed by Dave Filoni, who is the writer/producer/director of this show. He's basically Geroge Lucas's protege if you will.
Anyways, this episode is phenomenal. It made me cry. So much beautiful introspection from Ahsoka, and I LOVE seeing Anakin as this super zen transcendant deity. It's such a deserved role for both the character of Anakin, and Hayden Christensen himself. He deserves his flowers.
George was still involved & made most of the decisions for clone wars including the show even being created at all & Maul being brought back at all when Filoni called him crazy for bringing Maul back saying it was risky which then did exactly as Lucas knew it would … & ended up being on of the best decisions made by Star Wars because he became one of the best villains in Star Wars all together
@@packedentertainment2866 Lucas spent a ton of his own money on The Clone Wars. By the later seasons, they cost $1 Million per episode.

I don't know if you caught it, but before her encounter with Anakin, Ahsoka was dressed in all grey tones, and acted stoic and impassive. Now, after training with Anakin she's wearing all white, and she's happy, and adventurous, like she was during the Clone Wars.
It's almost a throwaway line in an earlier episode, but Huyang says something about ancient hyperspace lanes between galaxies following the migration paths of star whales. So it's not so much the whales remembering where the mag goes/ where Ezra is, as it is the map was based on the path they took anyway!
Also love that you guys immediately get the meaning training scene, a lot of more hardcore fans take everything so literally that they miss the messaging.
That transition they did with the shrug was cold
Fun Fact: The actress who played Young Ahsoka played Young Gamora in Infinity War
Yes- we all watch the breakdown’s …
OH WOW
Hayden was amazing! ❤Ariana who did young Ahsoka nailed it. 🥰So glad that all of us who’ve watched the Clone Wars get to see a bit of it in live action.💫
Yeah. I feel bad for the people that watch the live action stuff without watching the animated stuff because they miss out on some of the best things Star Wars has ever done
5:00 that would be Dave Filoni. Started with The Clone Wars, then Rebels, and tried live action with a little show called The Mandalorian. Oh, if you want a brief catch up on Ahsoka's past, Check out Tales of the Jedi. 3 animated shorts are about Ahsoka, before the Clone Wars, During, and After. The other three about Dooku are really good as well.
edit: Sorry but 10:30 is season 7 Ahsoka.
This episode was so great. Can’t wait to see what this new galaxy holds for us.
7 seasons is a lot but please do Clone Wars reactions. It legit is some of the best Star Wars you can experience. Yall would not regret it?
This episode had everything.
Also major props to Hayden for stepping into Anakin again and conveying two different fighting styles the way he did. It was really satisfying seeing how swift and elegant his Anakin style was vs how overpowering and unrelenting his Vader style was.
Hayden changing his voice to sound Matt Lanter was my favourite part and his Jedi armour was fabulous it suit him well
One thing I heard mentioned on another channel, that Ahsoka was only about 16-17 at the end of the Clone Wars during the Siege of Mandalore. Really made me see the CW animated series in a different light, seeing how she started out at only 14 or so years old
Anakin gave her the biggest lesson that he never learned in life. Let go. Let go of your guilt, shame, fears, and anger. Its what kept him in his perpetual cycle of torment and pain for the last half of his life.
The point anakin is trying to teach is that she is all the power of Anakin but the good part of it, Ahsoka is only looking at it from a bad perspective because of how Anakin turned to Vader but shes a different person who can do things differently with what he taught her.
That’s Jacen Syndulla and he is the son of Hera and Kanan Jarus who was a Jedi. He trained Ezra after he joined them on Lothal. It’s in Rebals
6:13 that is Hera’s actual biological son. His father was Kanan Jarrus: a human jedi that survived Order 66 and was one of the main characters in Rebels (alongside her, Sabine, Ezra, Ahsoka, the dude named Zeb, and Chopper). Edit: Just went back and watched it. I can see they only had 1 kid.
They had another kid?
@@freeamericanthinker558kanan and hera had one kid being Jason
You made up the other kid. Kanan died before he knew Hera was pregnant.
The young Ahsoka played by actress (Ariana Greenblatt) also played as young Gamora in Infinity War.
Some explanation to hyperspace jumping whales or Purrgil as they are called...it is said in the lore that they were actually the first inspiration for intelligent species in the galaxy to invent hyperdrives and start to travel between the stars...just like for us humans the animals were inspiration for some inventions here on Earth
Which to me seems like a great explanation to them existing and how hyperdrive was even created :D
Dave Filoni made this show, Rebels, and clone wars. Also helps out with madalorian and the other shows. Dudes been cookin for a min, took star war in a such a dope direction.
The Ghost is Heras ship. But the X Wings are part of the New Republic fleet.
Would love clone wars reactions if you could make that happen!
Same. I really hope they react to it & Rebels after but mostly clone wars. I think the clone wars is the best thing to ever come from Star Wars honestly
This literally reminds me of Macross 7. One of the OVA 's. They had space whales that hyperjumped to a final destination to die.
Anakin was like “You are still on about that?! I’m a fucking genocidal maniac but you aren’t yet you cant get that through your skull and two head tails, nah you ain’t learned shit.”
In life you have two grips one on the past and one on the future, the tighter grip you have on one the less of a grip you have on the other. Hold on to the past and fade with it or hold on to the future and change with it. That was anakins lesson to me, live or die
6:41 Bro makes sure he has the high ground now. 😂
"Hyper jumping whales" -- according to the lore--these whales (or their ancient ancestors) were the ones that helped the very first people learn where the hyperspace routes were--they followed those whales. over 40,000 years earlier.
Jacen is Heras actuall son. His father was human. Humans and Twieleks are one of the very few species who can crossbreed.
Captain Rex, Ahsokas Clones, Dath Mauls Mandalorians, live action Clone Wars and Anikin. Thank you Filloni. What an Episode❤🔥
Anakin and obi were born and grew up in a era of peace, Ahsoka was born straight into war. She feels that’s all her worth just being a soldier that brought destruction and not a true Jedi that brings peace. She thinks her future will be like vaders That’s why Anakin says “your more then that because I was more then that” meaning your not just a soldier because I wasn’t only just a soldier. And it’s up to you to choose who you are, “to fight”.
Please watch Clone Wars and Rebels. Both shows start a lil kid-ish, but their characters and stories get deep as they go along
The space whales are in Mando too, Grogu was looking at them while they were in hyperspace, swimming beside them.
dude im so glad the lady on the left understood the anakin scene cause a lot of people didn't
Somethings yall missed:
Ahsoka for a brief moment, after taking the red lightsaber, had yellow eyes....showing a hint of darkside she has...
notice a difference in anakins fighting style...with the blue saber he's more agile, quick, and fluid...
With the redsaber, he's more direct, harder strikes, incline to grab you....
in death, anakin has full control of both the light & dark side of the force...which is partly why we see flashes/shadows of vader...
This was the best episode of Ashoka the choreography and cinematography was so good 💯 and Hayden did his thing as Anakin everytime 🔥💯
The seige of madalore was the exact moment Anakin converted to Vader(season 7 of clone wars).. that moment was what was holding Ahsoka back, her feeling of failure of not being there for him and the need to let go.
He was showing her the past to show she could never stop fighting and live a peaceful life. He told her live or die, the moment you stop fighting you will die and she wasn’t getting the point, so he used vador to send the message, being able to defeat vador completed her training because he is the chosen. Anakin can switch between good and bad because he is who holds balance in the force. If you watch clone wars, the spirits who were holding the balance told him he would be the one to tip the scales, the father who kept balance between his children light and the dark. The dark killed his father which broke the balance and which palpatine would win the war and darth vador would be born.
Shira nailed the purpose of Anakin's mini training. My brother and I who are big fans couldn't grasp it... Perhaps just so distracted with the duels, CW callbacks, Rex, and Vader.
7:05 This was the battle of Teth from the Clone Wars movie where she was 14 years old.
8:32 That was the battle of Ryloth from the Ryloth arc, where Ahsoka accidentally got her clone pilots killed in space.
10:25 As said in the episode this was the Siege of Mandalore arc from the CW show where she is 17 years old, the last clone wars battle.
What's crazy is they sent that little ass Ahsoka to go fight Maul and she still won lmao
"Ezra was blowing her back tf out" had me dying ☠️
They didn't just leave Jacen - they left him under the protection of Chopper - the Resistance's biggest menace.
I was not expecting to see live action purrgil. They are so cool and were first seen in Star Wars: Rebels which is another reason why you should watch that amazing show.
Yeah you nailed it. She had to let it go.
'Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go

I'll show myself out.
Jacen is half human and half Twilek, which is probably why his hair is naturally green. It’s likely that as he gets older, he’ll have more pronounced twilek features.
Thrawn was in the official trailer btws, AND it's the OG VA playing him in live-action and I couldn't be MORE excited!!! 😍
Yoooo! the actress that played Teenage Ahsoka is the same actress that played young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War

I love how the Rebels just gloss over how Hera got 2 X-wing fighters killed during that hyperspace ring jump but no one bats an eye over it. They just want to remove her rank for using resources. Priorities! 🤪
Not surprising that Ahsoka was haunted by Anakin's fall and started worrying about herself. First of all, she was a child soldier (fucked up all on it's own). Then think about the Jedi in that direct training lineage Anakin mentioned. Dooku fell to the Dark Side. Qui-Gon didn't fall but did things his own way and was a thorn in the side of the Jedi Council. Obi-Wan was generally a "good boy"/boy scout but wasn't above bending the rules when it suited him. Anakin went from dashing hero to the poster boy for the Dark Side. And, finally herself. Of the 4 Jedi we meet in her direct line, 2 of them went dark. I'd be worried too.
Anakin finally gained the power to save the ones he loves from dying through the force
This was such a fire episode and it was really cool to see Anakin's duality with the light and dark side. Ahsoka taming the purgil whales was a good call back to Rebels when Ezra would befriend a lot of animals.
It was great to see Ahsoka letting go of the past, and lighten up again back to her old self by the end of the episode.
To clarify at 9:17 he switches to vader to portray that ashoka still views him as vader and not anakin jedi knight
One of those whales made a brief cameo in the Mandalorian. Grogu saw one while they were in hyperspace.
Don't know if anyone here's said it or not, but, I see a parallel between the final scene of *_The Empire Strikes Back_* in which Lando promises to Leia that he and Chewbacca/Chewie would find Han, and here where Ahsoka promises to Hera that she would find Sabine and Ezra 🤔🤯🥺🥲🤗😉👍😌!
The starting point of Anakin turning into Vader is the death of his mother and not the Battle of Ryloth portrayed here.
Seeing live action little kid Asoka in live action kinda makes me see how messed up the Jedi were
It's revealed padawan as young as 12 years old (Cal Kestis from SW Fallen Order/Survivor) were sent to war and like others have already commented both the Jedi order and the Republic legalized the use of child soldiers like it was the norm (let alone the ethical implications of the Clones), just goes to show the Galaxy was rotten before Sidious came to power.
Anakin was trying to teach Ahsoka to let go of her pain and fault thinking that her walking away from the Jedi and Anakin caused the fall to the dark side. She's become more cautions and cynical as you've seen in the earlier episodes after rumours of Thrawn. She also was a bit more pessimistic and lacking 'hope.' Anakin is trying to show her to let go of her guilt for him, the Order and that his GOOD parts of his legacy are what she incorporates and he passes down, not his legacy of pain and destruction and violence as Vader, so she disassociates from him because of WHO he became. And he is showing her her first and last CW battles to show how far she came and how she took on the best of him in the situations when he wasn't around - hence letting go of him and her guilt. How she was so guilty of the deaths of the Clones in the first mission to how she let go of death and became a commander during the Siege of Mandalore. She still carries the guilt of the Clones lost, and Anakin's, after walking away from the Jedi Order she still feels that it was a mistake when in fact it was the right thing to do.
Cere Junda in Jedi Survivor game said it best to Cal Kestis:
CERE: Cal - You're still struggling with the dark side. Even after cutting yourself off from the Force Cere - We will always struggle. But that IS the test.
This is THE episode. Exceeds The Rescue from Mando IMO and as great as the Andor Series episodes and Andor Finale. This episode is the best SW content post Original trilogy ever made because it honours CW, Rebels and the Originals.
This. Which is why its important her eyes turn evil, but then she turns away. Teaching her that basically it is a choice to fall to the darkside. One that she won't make.
As weird as it may sound,Jacen is actually Hera’s son(I don’t want to disclose too much about his father’s background because I really recommend watching Rebels to find out more about him).I’m so glad y’all were also hyped and captivated with how they portrayed Anakin’s character in this episode!
Ariana Greenblatt is killin’ it at 16, having played young Gamora and now young Ahsoka 👏🏼
I love that they keep bringing Hayden Christensen back (Even if I thought Kenobi didn't live up to its titular character's greatness). IN DAVE FILONI WE TRUST!
Jacen is Hera's son :D They mentioned his dad was a Jedi called Kanan Jarrus, he and Hera were in a relationship but he died before Jacen was born. Kannan was a badass as well and pretty powerful so Jacen def has some good amount of natural force potential passed on to him via Kanan.
Just to clarify Ahsoka did physically travel to the World Between Worlds and reemerged in the water once she was done. It's a place accessible through portals and there's a connection between that and force sensitive wolves. I noticed the stone pillars around the map resemble sitting wolves
Now that Anakin completed Ahsoka's training, if she claims the title of Jedi Knight, Anakin can finally become a Master!
I haven’t seen many people notice or comment, but when Ahsoka says she wants to live while holding his lightsaber, she gets sith eyes when she says it. Very tiny detail, but so cool.
yea a few other youtube reactors commented on that. I didnt catch it at first watch but after watching a few reactions I was like....ooooo shit they did. At first I thought they were seeing the glow of Anakin's lighsaber in her eyes but yea her eyes did turn sith for a hot min.

Damn, that was a crisp intro animation y’all have!!
Sheera breaking down the final lesson gave me that aha moment and watery eyes
"Why do I feel like that's actually her son?" ... he is?
Anakin seeing her lose: "This ain't it snips"
I heard Hayden hurt his back during this episode. For carrying Star Wars
So glad yall uploaded this way earlier than usual
Kanan and Hera were a couple. Jason is the son of Kanan and Hera. His dad died just before he was born and was Ezra’s master. His green hair is natural. Hera is from a humanoid species. The reason why they need all these gismos and stuff to travel to another galaxy is because there is an artificial barrier around the SW Galaxy. I am not sure where they are going with this story but they could be bringing bigger problems than Trawn into the SW Galaxy. btw talking to animals is a rare force ability.
Y’all should definitely watch rebels, the context from that show makes this show 10x better
The lesson was you don’t HAVE to always fight, but you have to fight to live and continue. You must keep struggling and pushing, but it’s okay to question
Anakin marched forward and all you saw was Vader; he was stuck in the heat of fighting only, and it consumed him. He fell to it, it’s why he keeps reminding her she’s and he’s more than that, because it consumed him but wasn’t all him. It’s why it’s the siege after, she didn’t keep pressing like him as he went toward Vader OF HIS OWN CHOICE, she ended up at Mandalore and he was proud. When she couldn’t see her choices changed things at Mandalore he says she hasn’t learned.
His lessons still let her make good change, without falling. It’s being lost in the combat as Anakin was and constantly pushing when not needed that he fell. She’s afraid of living and pushing and making choices when her own choices won’t lead toward Vader, because she knew from day 1 to question the choices.
Was just about to sleep, but we're here!!!
6:16 Understandable. Jacen *The young man* is her son. He's half human. His father was Kanan. He was the Jedi who trained Ezra before a certain event happened to him.
When ahsoka had anakin light saber her eyes turn sith yellow/red remember anakin said he gave her everything he had. Thats why her sith eyes showed up for a second.
Jedi actually can have sex, it’s forming an attachment that’s the problem. The council doesn’t look fondly on it.

Love isn't bad, Fear is. Fear of loss, hence the attachment
