Have a great day y'all!
Oz on HBO. NO SHOW TODAY WOULD BE HERE WITHOUT IT
Man can you please check out Punk SLC?
You'll appreciate this. The director of this movie is Matt Shakman who has directed about 50 episodes of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
"The Gang Gets Bombarded With Cosmic Radiation"
He also did WandaVision if I am not mistaken
Imagine if Rob and Kaitlyn play Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic.
@@BeinGabriel-bf2zm Glenn as Johnny Storm. Danny as Ben Grimm. Charlie could be Silver Surfer
The sound from Thing's lips rubbing against his rocky fingers is so believable.
The people complaining about CGI are actually so stupid. Any VFX artist will tell you the VFX of the thing looks amazing. He looks perfect, straight out of the comics. And the people bitching about his voice are the ones who have no idea about the comics. In the comics he literally has a normal voice, it was the movies that decided to give him a gravely voice. I think it will be a smart decision in giving his character more personality. Comic book movie fans just have to bitch about something. It happens every time anything is teased. And then when the movie comes out they pretend that they always liked it and that the “CGI looked better in the movie.” It’s just confirmation bias.
I always heard a gruff Brooklyn accent. Something not dissimilar to Spike from Tom & Jerry.
No it looks shit as does the movie.
@@leehobkirk3442sad life you must live
I think Ben is fine. But I'm getting uncanny valley vibes from Johnny and Sue, soemthing about the eyes or makeup looks really weird.
Nope not the movies - the gravely voice came from the cartoons
This is the best thing design for sure. I’d just read a few of the 60s comics this summer and they’re capturing that retro vibe perfectly. He’s finally got the big ass eyebrows
I grew up on John Byrne’s blue and white comic book costumes. I am stoked.
Michael giacinno did the soundtrack for The Incredibles (basically a Pixar fantastic four set in the same style) and now he is doing the new fantastic four movie
His score for Star Trek was great.
@@chaost4544 His scores for The Batman and Rogue One are goated
I will always love Giacchino just for his score to the show LOST. His music is a huge part of what makes that show so memorable.
@@EhFrank That’s his best work in my opinion. Especially the track ‘Moving On’.
It's super freshing to have a filmmaker's opinion and analysis on this. Especially since most people are shitting on it.
Also it's funny you mentioned WandaVision, its the same director.
I feel like Richie as The Thing is gonna be the showstealer. I thinks he's gonna make me laugh a whole bunch and break my heart. I honestly can't wait
“Ben’s always been a rock, Johnny’s Johnny, and I am right here.” 💙
@ I believe they’re equivalent and the quote is fire either way
I think the desaturated & low contrast look isn't necessarily related to the VFX, it's probably more because Kevin Feige and Marvel wants their films to feel like they belong in the same universe. If you see a Marvel movie, you know it's a Marvel movie. It's like brand recognition. And I know that pisses off a LOT of people because comic books are supposed to be colorful, but that's why I think there's that "samey" quality to Marvel films.
I can see that point!
This film takes place in another universe so that doesn’t really work with this
@@lilturk5549 it’s still an MCU movie. If this was a Fox or Sony movie then it would make more sense to look visually different. But if it’s in the MCU, it’s gonna probably fit within the established brand visuals. And by the end of the film I’m certain it will connect to the Marvel universe we know (616 or 199999 or whatever it is)
Now I want to read fan-fiction about Reed Richards’ chain of Dry Cleaners
The style and aesthetic of this trailer is insane-I’m loving the vibe they’re setting up. This team’s always been my favorite alongside the X-Men, so I’m really hoping the MCU doesn’t play it safe or stick to their usual formula. This deserves something bold.
I also want the watchers to start making appearances. We should just randomly see them in the background just watching everything like us lol
Getting big "jetsons" vibes from this trailer and it feels right.
It's clobbering time, Chef
Lmfaooooo good one
Galactus' size depends - maybe he has control over it or maybe he's smaller when he's really hungry. In his first appearance he's depicted as being roughly 8 storey's tall when he's on top of the Baxter Buidling and pretty much the same size as the Watcher (the main difference being the helmet).
The Thing's character from the kitchen scene looks like it came straight outta UE5, I swear to god.
the actor for the thing said they actually went to places like Arizona in the dessert to get a feel of what the thing could be like, its also gonna be set in 1963, but have the future feel the 60s had for shows like the jetsons
its so nice to see a positive reaction. everyone these days just wants to be negative to try and be different. shits wack
Not sure if you realized, but the movie is supposed to be set sometime around the 60s-70s I think, which is why the New York skyline looks a little bare, and there’s no stark tower yet
We might be getting our first good version of the Fan F, finally.
The original (bathtub shaped) Fantasticar had a cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine.
16:09 that's a really cool showing of the Family. The setting they used is very similar to the stage design of one of the earlier Beatles performances. The Beatles were larger than life in the 60's, at one point John Lennon claimed they were "more popular than Jesus". It shows everyone Marvel's First Family is idolized and celebrated at the level The Beatles were.
7:16 "...this looks like 'The Jeffersons', man...". Haha, I think you mean it looks like 'The Jetsons' with its retrofuturistic style, unless you're referring to Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben finally movin' on up (Movin' on up!)- - - to the East Side (Movin' on up!)- - - to a deeee-luxe Baxter Building in the skyyyyyy!!!!!😆 I personally loved the look of the film, the the retrofuturist 1960s milieu, Galactus looks amazing, and even the casting EXCEPT for Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm. While the CGI used to realize Thing is awesome, and I love the rocky noises he makes as moves, the voice is weak, not deep or gravelly enough (pun intended), and not enough Brooklyn accent! It's like the director told Ebon, "Just be yourself, don't worry about capturing the character". Maybe I'm judging his performance too harshly by one scene, but Thing is my favorite member of the Fantastic Four and if they don't get him right, it will tank the whole movie for me.
I actually reimagined the Jetsons as the Jeffersons - "Meet George Jetson, his wife Weezy, his son Lionel, daughter-in-law Jenny" where they'd use the animations for the Spacelys as the basis for George & Weezy, the George and Jane animations as the basis for the "Willises" and of course they'd have to have Florence the wisecracking robot maid.
It helps that they're both named George and the surnames are so close.
Of course Richie's in the kitchen
Saw a comment on Reddit: "I wear super suits now" 😂
I don't consume a lot of superhero media, I just never got into it, even though being a nerd in the 80's should have basically guaranteed me getting into superhero comics, but it was simply not to be, I was more into other geeky shit.
So even though I've always been lukewarm towards the whole concept of superheroes, this trailer looks really good, I might actually give it a try.
I love galactus. My favorite comic is “Galactus The Origin”. It’s essentially a straight to the point comic showing how galactus came to be. The art is underrated and the last page is my favorite comic panel ever. I’m excited for this, and I agree I love the costumes and style of this movie
This looks great IMHO. I will definitely be going to see this in the theater.
Would be very interesting to see you react to the most recent one, to see where it could have gone wrong, and maybe the things it did right
Takes place in an alternate world/universe in the 60’s
damnnn im early, shoutout my fellow patreon ppl!
you know it! 🙏🏽
Non patreon users got it too. Source I'm not on patreon
This cast 🤌
We might be back.
The Eater of Worlds is Coming
I'm so excited that both Superman and Fantastic Four get a chance at redemption in the same month since live action movies haven't exactly adapted them great. My only fear with Fantastic Four is that they'll completely ignore their rivalry between Reed and Doom and it won't factor at all in the future.
This trailer was a better Fantastic 4 film than everything that came before, feels like Jack Kirby & Stan Lee’s original vision ripped right off the pages
This is supposed to kick off in a different multiverse, and in the 60's.
I m really excited and really worried for this movie
This looks like the first actually great Marvel movie since Guardians of the Galaxy and The Winter Soldier in 2014.
If this takes place in the '60s I'm excited to see where they tie it into the current Marvel phase. But maybe it takes place in a universe other than the MCU we know and that's how they start the Secret Wars arc??
I'm assuming this is a parallel universe but at *some point* they either escape to or are pulled into the prime timeline. It doesn't seem like a trick they'll be able to pull many times, but I like using that now to be able to tell a cool Fantastic Four story without the impediments of working within the main continuity. I'm not blown away by this teaser but I'm still very optimistic about this movie!
its set in an alternative timeline in the 60s
Unlike most recent marvel movies, this one actually looks like it has some real-heart put into to it.
I don’t understand why ppl thought Deadpool/Wolverine was good..I just..didn’t “get” it..
It’s because it has actual visual identity that differentiates it from the bland green screen slop they’ve been putting out
@@johncspine2787 I think Deadpool Wolverine had alot of heart and some great performances. I also personally thought the movie was pretty ugly and had some terrible vfx for being the third movie in a billion dollar trilogy.
I think John Malkovich is playing The Red Ghost, another early in the run foe of the FF
I wasn't the biggest fan of FF. Always thought of them as kinda corny and all the movies suck... that is until I read Hickman's FF run. It's incredible, so emotional and profound, honestly might be the best comic run ever. If they can somehow translate Hickman's heart to these movies, they will incredible too!!
Personally I’m not a fan of the costumes, but I never really cared about the blue and white costumes in comics either. I’ve been a fan of the black costumes with the white trim. And I’m kind of more used to Thing not wearing a top. Hopefully they take that off of him in the future.
The Fantastic Four comics saved Marvel from bankruptcy and started their sliver age. They're kind of important. The first family, as they are frequently called.
I don't know about the rest of y'all but I'm ready for a Jetsons/Jeffersons crossover.
I like the writing here. Sure, it's bit cheesy but it fits the idea of old, simpler times.
honestly its good to be cheesy especially for comic book movies, i rather them play into the cheesiness than be over serious about everything
Yeah!! Definitely do the FF movies!
Roger that!
Wait, does that Baxter Building interior living area look a lot like Stark Tower??
I still am curious how/if they will bring the 4 into the MCU we know if this takes place in the 60's or whatever.
I agree the cgi is incredible. I have heard so many people who do not understand VFX comment and it’s frustrating because they just don’t get how good it looks and will complain.
the cgi looks great, i think theres a bunch of people that don't like the design (because they dont read the comics and only reference the 2005 movie) that confuse disliking the design with bad cgi lol.
@ I had a friend of mine say it isn’t the design it’s the cgi looking too cartoony.
No Stark tower in 1962 - plus it's an alternate timeline
Doom maybe only in an end credit cameo
I personally would prefer that the Thing's voice be deeper and gruff - after all it's being made by a body that is no longer human (as brought out by his clapping sounding like rocks knocking together) - even if it only sounded something like the 1967 cartoon - there should be a difference hetween Ben's voice and the Thing's (wouldn't complain if it sounded like Archie Bunker). Ben Grimm's comic bio is based on the early life of Jacob Kurtzburg (Jack Kirby) who was Jewish and grew up on Delancey Street (renamed Yancey in the comics) on the Lower East Side of Manhattan
Amazingly in July we'll have movies based on characters created by 4 Jewish men of Lithuanian (Jerry), Dutch/Russian (Joe), Romanian (Stan) and Austrian (Jack) origins.
This is weird, i got asmr from you breaking down the trailer. The insights and pausing like made my brain and scalp tingle from interest.
Life is too short, don’t watch Fant4stic. Spend time with family or something 👍
I would love to see you react to the 2015 Fant4stic (yes that's what it's called)
** Jetsons
Your voice is pretty quiet compared to the trailer in this one.
I love the look of movie. Its retro futurism. As a huge fantastic four fan, Im looking forward to it. I just hope Pedro does Reed Richards justice.
Retro futurism is the word. Thanks!
looks fantastic
you did the thing
I’ve been a defender of Marvel, but if they don’t cook me a 5-Star Meal with Daredevil and Fantastic Four, I might give up.
Hahahaha I hope you eat good homie
I only expect this because they have all the tools and so far both look great. All they have to do is not fumble.
Let's go!!?
Yessssir!
Oh yeah, it's Marvellin' time!
H.E.R.B.I.E. and the Thing are literally makin' SAUCE :D
The beginning of Fantastic Four (2015) wasn’t even bad and heavily reminded me of the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics, which strongly inspired the movie. However, after the beginning, the film just fell apart and simply didn’t feel like a Fantastic Four film. It followed the trend set by The Dark Knight, taking a gritty, dark direction while also attempting to be a body horror film.
The reshoots only made things worse, thanks to noticeable inconsistencies. Sue Storm’s actress wore a wig that visibly changed between shots, switching between her real hair and the wig. Even the actor playing Reed Richards didn’t shave when he returned, possibly out of spite for the way the director treated the cast, leading to jarring shifts from a clean-shaven look to a five o’clock shadow between shots.
Fantastic Four: First Steps looks so much more impressive and screams Fantastic Four. It perfectly captures the '60s era of Fantastic Four comics and oozes personality with its setting. The Incredibles is probably the closest comparison, since that film was directly inspired by the Fantastic Four and the '60s era of Marvel comics. That’s why so many people refer to The Incredibles as the best Fantastic Four film. Those films have always been the template for how to do a Fantastic Four film.
I’d recommend reading the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics over watching the Fantastic Four (2015) film, or maybe read the first issue of the comic and then watch the film for comparison. The comics share many parallels with ideas used in the film, such as using teleportation technology to travel to another planet, which is how the F4 get their powers. Both versions also depict the team as being much younger than their mainline comic counterparts, young adults and part of a Baxter think tank since their childhoods run be Sue's father.
Reed’s father is a bully and a drunk in the Ultimate comics, a stark contrast to the kind, supportive figure in the mainline comics who disappeared since he's a time traveler. It’s just a unique take on the F4 that the film failed to capture, but the Ultimate comics do a much better job showcasing it.
would you do jurassic world or am i reachin'
Never a reach fam
@ love to hear it
OZ brother please
please react to the newest trailer for Marvel’s Thunderbolts* it looks promising!
I couldn't be any more uninterested in this movie and I actually love Marvel 😂
Sounds bad but I couldn't care less about this movie tbh! Got way better films in 2025 lineup and this just isn't my thing! Not fond of the casting choices and done with MCU just in general! Hope it's good for the people who are wanting to go see it though, as long as it doesn't waste their time!
Looking more forward to mission impossible and new Jurassic World movie!
👍🤘👌😎🔥
James, for the love of god don't subject yourself to Fant4stic. Nobody needs that type of negativity in their life.
Stay away from the 2015 fantastic four lol
It’s really interesting, we saw Sue, Ben, and Johnny's powers but not Reed's. It also seems like Sue might be the leader of the team or the movie, which I'm completely OK with. She's definitely the emotional core of the team. But the trailer was fantastic even if it didn't have any big pop moments to me. Maybe Galactus. I didn't think we would see him. I will say I wasn't expecting to see The Thing's rock form so clearly. But he looked right out of a Kirby drawing. If I had one quibble, I thought his voice would be deeper and gravelly. But it just sounds like Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Eh, I’d argue (in the comics at least) The Thing is the emotional core, the literal rock everyone can depend on. And Sue was always the bigger leader to me, Reed was more about discovery and science while Sue encouraged the superheroics more than him
@@daviddoesntsucc yeah i feel everyone just assumes reed is the leader as he is the smartest guy in marvel, but leadership takes more than just intelligence, i just hope they do it right without it feeling too forced and has more a "family" feel to the group opposed to just another avengers team dynamic
@ yeah agreed, Fantastic 4 is a family, and the trailer gives me good hope that they’ll treat it like that :]
Nope Chris Evans should be Johnny.
the 2015 fantastic four wasn't terrible to me. idk i feel like it got overhated imo haha. it'd be cool to see ur reaction
I may have to check it!
Since 2021 I’ve started having the Superhero Fatigue …. There have been some exceptions I hope this film will redeem The MCU
Hard pass from me. Time for cinema to evolve in different directions.
