I will so be there for the Bday party. And I know exactly what Wolfkain is talking about with the frustration. I sometimes stop and take that frustration and try and create something to show them what I am seeing or talking about so in a way they can see it. Oh if the AC is dying then if its just not cooling as it should then it could just need to be recharged with new refrigerant gas. Sometimes it is far cheaper to do that than many would think. Has to be done by a licensed professional as they can properly dispose of the old refrigerant gas.
Sistah: When Floor says "Kiitos," it is simply Finnish for "thank you." In one of the early concerts, before joining Nightwish full time, she said it in Dutch first, and then in Finnish -- which, when she said it, impressed Tuomas so much he gave her a thumbs-up. But no -- "Kiitos" simply means "thank you." You asked, I figured I could clear up that bit of mystery, since I've watched many interview videos, and have picked up a bit of Finnish simply because they speak it during those interviews.
Im from Norway and ive listened to Nightwish since i was about 13 years old. Im proud of what Nightwish has become, i might be an ass when i say that i lost connection with them when Anette was in the band and i didnt hear them untill about 2016 again. 3 year after they had a new singer. Floor. Anette and Nightwish at the time gave me nothing and had me loosing interest instantly. But hell, its one of the greatest band on earth 2019 today.
As a Finn you have a lot to be proud of when it comes to great Metal! In my opinion Finland is the greatest Metal factory in the World. Greatings from Sweden.....in second place....
@@j.v.r.1981- Someone mentioned that Floor is not that well known in Netherlands outside of Metal circles. Meanig that metal music fans know her but that's pretty much it. Is that true?
Floor doesnt do opera as well as tarja, and doesnt do pop as well as annette... but she does BOTH extremely well, which is something the others couldnt really manage. I love that floor can do justice to the entire nightwish catalog, while still maintaining her own unique sound for new songs. All 3 eras in 1 show? Sign me up
I have ticket to Nightwish concert it's "secret consert" and I have already see that band 4 times and what more the better it feels. I think Nightwish is the best band ever in that planet - and I know all their songs. The soul of band is TUOMAS
I keep saying it. Nightwish, is not just a band. Not just a concert. Nightwish is a journey. Nightwish is an experience. Nightwish is a dream emporium. WE WERE HERE.
@@MrEnsiferum77 Sorry but no, Floor is probably one of the best singers in the world, if not the best, Tarja is just pure opera, Floor can sing everything. I love Tarja, but i'm not a fanboy, she's not even close to be as good as Floor is.
@@MrEnsiferum77 You are only for yourself the center of the universe. Not for everyone. So you can't make the rules for all of us. In my humble opinion Floor is a far better match to the range of Toumas compositions then Tarja. I like her voice and she is great, but for this band Floor is just better.
@@MrEnsiferum77 I'm sorry but again, no. Maybe for you who doesn't understand music Nightwish was better with Tarja, but for us, it's a lot better with Floor, too bad that we don't share opinions, but your opinion doesn't matter at all, because you're not the keeper of truth or something like that, so in your opinion is bad, in our opinion is great. So stfu and let us enjoy this band without your salty comments, if you don't like Nightwish with Floor i don't know what the hell are you doing watching a reaction video with her, you must be really salty and your life so sad that you need to share your shit with people that don't even care about your opinion.
Yep, that’s a snippet of Metallica in there, and a few bars before was a snippet of classical, it represents the creative evolution of man, and is very cool :)
They actually start from baroque music, though the classical period (I think it is Bach), Metallica's Enter Sandman, and even a few electronic beats. This is a very deliberate and brilliantly performed piece of musical humour, to represent the evolution of music in the 40 seconds or so.
That was the beginning of J. S. Bach's Fugue in d minor. Arguably one of his most famous and popular pieces, even though most people probably mostly recognize the Toccata that's usually played before this part.
I liked Nightwish's music back in the beginning, but for some reason Tarjas voice rubbed me the wrong way. When Anette joined I totally tuned out and didn't listen to them until a few months ago when I stumbled upon the Wacken 2013 show, and Floor just blew my mind! It's like she and Nightwish were made for eachother. Her talent, range and charisma really raises the songs to levels her predecessors never could, and I love it!
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. THIS IS A GREATEST REACTION OF EARTH FOR THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. ... Holy hell guys! Kudos and thanks for the feelings! You done a wonderful job! Next High Hopes please ... and maybe Yours is an Empty Hope?
Mother of God is holy indeed. Though only after her son made her holy. And hell in all it's horror is in fact holy. Tells about the justice of God. Though God don't want hell to anybody - but there's no option if we don't accept the invitation to Heaven.
That attitude of not minding to say anything confrontational with the utmost confidence that the facts are on your side is what I enjoy seeing in people who really do have the facts by their side. It's ultimately just a matter of being not only straight forward but honest about it. That's why people like Christopher Hitchens, Aron Ra and of course, Richard Dawkins keep winning my respect over and over again. They prove their own honesty and their opponents dishonesty at the same time.
Dawkins is very close minded and is even criticized by many in the scientific community for making atheism, not science, into a religion. I respect him as a scientist and I like how he dismantles religious fanatics but it is in conversations with moderate religious persons where he falls flat. He does not and will never understand that for a lot of people science and religion do not compete. They are on different layers. He doesn’t understand that people’s minds can be and sometimes should be paradox. There is nothing wrong about it. The way I believe doesn’t interfere with my desire to understand how physics and the universe work. Not every religious person beliefs that his faith is the only true faith or that it is the whole truth. Religion is not much different to philosophy. It’s a set of ethics, a way to interpret human contact. Unless you’re a fanatic fundamentalist you don’t believe that religion is „The Truth“.
Richard Dawkins made the mistake of starting to argue with idiots. Whenever you argue with idiots, they drive you nuts and you'll inevitably say something that makes people think you're an ass. But he's less of an ass, than anyone who doesn't even argue with christians, creationists and flat-earthers, because they don't even give a shit. At least he cares enough to try. At the cost of his own mental health...
@@robertschneider8808 Science is reason. Religion is irrational. There is no other way to look at it. No, they are simply incompatible to anyone who is rational. There is no paradox, simply an unwillingness to let go of the irrational. Yes, there is something wrong with it. It does interfere because inevitably you will be confronted by something in science that is incompatible with your religion, and you will be forced to choose between rational thought and irrational. They you aren't actually religious. Religion is nothing like philosophy. Religion has nothing to do with ethics or human contact. If you don't believe your religion is truth, then you aren't actually religious. You are clinging to nonsense because...
Floor is the bridge that connects us to Tuomas' vision and creativity. The band plays and sets the stage. And Floor leafs us by the hand down that path. Theres never enough Nightwish.
@@xashfordx She's more capable than Tarja and Anette put together, not much more growing to do. Floor is a _very_ experienced singer, she's sang in several metal bands, she's sang opera and rock and everything in between.
HOLD ON.... what the hell was that?? I have never been this mindblown by a reaction ever! To be honest no amount of words will suffice. This wasn't a reaction, this was a **PRODUCTION** done with the utmost of respect to its subject. HalfLifeSistah, WolfKain, you guys get it. You have set the bar to an unreachable height. To commit to a reaction the length of a Hollywood feature film is intense, not only that but to follow a similar structure as well, intro, opening comments, buildup, reaction, analysis and so forth.. is an astronomical feat, this reaction itself tells a story. Your attention to the details and things that most don't pick out in this masterpiece is to be commended. There is so much to say about this reaction, unfortunately it could never quantify the effort and love you put into this **MASTERPIECE** of a reaction. I subscribed quite some time ago... I only wish I could again... or in some way give back for what you have done here. That was absolutely STUNNING. As Trinx pointed out in the comments below.. this truly is ***The Greatest Reaction on Earth*** :) Thank you SO MUCH!
we fucked up and will have destroyed our planet in a couple of years or decades just to be able to eat meat and have some comfort. so yeah, defiant may be most fitting term. the potential humanity has had was probably huge but we spat on it. Maybe we were some kind of alpha or beta test for an alien software called life. When we will have disappeared the program may be going to be fixed. In the next version brutality, martiality, inhumanity, archaics, racism, xenophobia, speciecism and so on will hopefully be gone.
@jay fine No. I believe there's evolutionary reasons for why we want to help each other. Love itself is the magnetic force that perpetuates our species. We aren't the best animal in all honesty - no fur, no claws, can't run very fast (as evidenced by Scotland's football team) What we DO have is a superior brain - we solve problems WAY better than any other animal ... and we have a social mentality ...together we stand, divided we fall. That's consistent with other ape species. Especially chimps. Look at the moon landing ... that's the result of a social mentality. Religion is an unfortunate bi-product of our problem-solving brains. Fervour and decisiveness are a boon to an animal in the wild - where "safe, not sorry" is often an instant life-saving decision, but poison to a reasoning person in the 21st century. Religion is always merely a primitive story invented to describe the deep emotions that need explaining. It's never a good attempt.
@jay fine Goodness, justice, and the likes of those are man made "inventions" but it has nothing to do with religion ( at least if we are talking about the creation of those things...but using those ideas , can be a religious thing ). Technically existence is amoral as you said, the things InjusticeHater listed ( and many more ) are just labels that we created so we could turn into civilized beings ( at least in our own eyes ), but whos to say whats normal and what is not. Think about it, who would say that X. person is inhumane? Said person or the one who is suffering or feels offended by the actions of person X. , who and how would solve a situation like this without said labels. Lets say im stronger than you, im capable of killing you without any problem and you have something that i really want and probably wont ever have on my own because im not as smart as you or something like that....why wouldnt i just kill you and take your stuff? Because im capable of killing you and taking your stuff, i have the "right" to do so. These labels meant to restrain the strong and give power to the weak, essentially before the strong ones could've killed all the "earners", and because humans were/are living in groups we need both, so we can operate as a group...so we created different laws, rules, later on ideas, terms, etc. to keep up the group ( humanity, our civilization, you name it as you want ). Of course the moment these things were created everyone tried to gain a little more than the others, weaker ones, stronger ones, everyone and essentially this is how religion was born ( among a lot of other things )...to exploit/rule the weaker ones by the idea of teaching them or forcing them to be "good"' "lawful" etc. Maybe religion itself was really a pure thing at first ( the fear of the unknown, known as death, is not as terrifying when people do believe in rebirth or some sort of afterlife ), but it was eploited pretty quickly. We are just like other animals, but we evolved to a point, where we, being different form each other is a problem, and the more evolved we are, the more problems we will have. I dont know if this rant is understandable enough, english isnt my first language, but technically i wanted to say, you can force religion into anything, but it does not mean that an atheist would find said concept meaningless only because it can be interpreted as something religious.
@jay fine Actually, existence and the prospect for it, is not amoral. Our future and progressive evolution depends on us working out how not to destroy either ourselves or the planet - the essence of science and atheism. The evidence provided by history demonstrates that religion contributes little to 'morality' and plenty towards our mutual destruction. A current example is the USA today; as it becomes progressively more militantly religious so it appears to become more destructive to both the environment and those living on earth.
@jay fine I dont really understand what do you mean by "There is no valid fundamental argument within atheism to preach or require any “good” of others." Being "good" or "bad" is just an idea based on a fundamentally flawed concept ( because of the fact that are all different and we will act/think/see things differently ). But just because i dont believe or agree with this concept the way, lets say a christian would, i do understand it, i do know it exists, i do know how it works, i know how religious people will see it, i even live by these ideas. Even an atheist will live by these concepts to a point, because its required to do so, if youre living in a society. This is why i dont understand your question, because "good" and "evil" is not a religious thing, they are just using it as a tool.
Your presentation, on the song and lyrical analysis is better than any documentary, on the history channel. So much work and effort put into this, thank you so much for doing this song justice..
You Tube surprised me, I never heard of this group. But I thank the Gods that I know who they are now! The include Opera, Classical Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, Damn all I can say is DAMN!!!!!!!!
Waiting this so much...Thank You Sistah and Wolf to doing this.👊 Not only reaction's but really great review's. LOVE You guy's..Masterpiece of Tuomas Holopainen. His Ode to the Life Itself...❤
When she sang ‘Shallow’ on TV, I said Floor is like Mother Earth, she can sing hard and loud like a thunderstorm, but also soft and delicate like a sweet summer’s day. You can’t describe Floor in one word. She is almost other worldly. I’m so happy she found her home in Nightwish.
Kiitos = Thank you 😘 I LOVE you two !! Music creates so much to this world , love , pain, happiness , sadness, but also gives us hope and comfort 😍 This Song includes so much. Tuomas is a genious !! He once said that Nightwish is Image of his soul.. What a beautiful soul we have there 💕 There is so much beautiful details about evolution on this Song. I was blown away when I realized how ingenious this is 😘
Tuomas is one of a kind...Musical genius and deep deep person too. You're on point. I think too Nightwish really is His journey to heart, mind and soul...And what a journey it has been. I only ride along and enjoy. Beautiful word's Miia ❤
@@HalfLifeSistah that s the beauty of it and of that band...always an emotional rollercoaster.kinda like watching a master painter giving life to a canva.
You really need to watch the documentary on how Floor came to the band it was really a miracle how they pulled it off its here on youtube the title is NIGHTWISH -"PLEASE LEARN THE SETLIST IN 48 HOURS"
The way she touches Emppu's shoulder like that speaks of love, He touched her arm like that earlier at wembley, I effing love that Emphaty between the whole band ❤🌹💕💖
Everyone loves Emppu. He was also Anette's best pal in the band (and already before she joined). No matter how serious and dark the song is Emppu always smiles (in some music videos he manages to keep serious face).
And at the end she puts her arm around Tuomas and is smiling at him. Also love her facial and vocal expression on "Enter... Life". Markos expression at the end when he gives the thumbs-up is just angelic.
Absolutely and I'm a total 65 year old Floyd nut job . Nightwish gives it a brilliant personalised cover version for me because they don't try and mimic the uncopyable . Nightwish is my new favourite band euro metal at its best.
Some will call me a lunatic, but this is I think third time I'm watching you guys analyse this song. Not only because there's so much to digest, or because I am a Nightwish fan boy (well I am very much but shush!), but also how genuine you guys are with your reactions and emotions. This channel is so underrated and I'm so glad I found it!
Yes, you did hear a riff from Enter Sandman. There was also some primitive tribal singing, some classical (I've heard people say both Beethoven and Bach are represented personally I could not say) some banjo, and at the very end right after the Metallica riff, there is a bit of some EBM style drumming. Basically, during that instrumental break, they trace the history of music.
Well on one thing you are not kidding: Floor IS the Goddess of Metal as far as I'm concerned! I honestly never ever heared a better singer than Floor Jansen, in any genre.
We need more thumbs up buttons.. impossible to just like this video just once. Wolfkain talking about atheism, dawkins, then several awesome nightwish songs.... and nearly 2 hours!
Just been listening to this song on the album with decent headphones on and that section where you hear the 'journey through music'... It starts on the right speaker with a tribe dancing around a fire, that moves to the left, then there's like a medieval gregorian chant that moves to the right, then there's Renaissance - what sounds like a Lute that goes into the harpsichord part, then the women singing but i don't know what that represents. Then the band kicks in again and do the classical Baroque 'bach-like' part, then there's a banjo, then there's a brass instrument on the left side that joins in, then it's the Enter Sandman riff on the right and finally an electronic dance music type kick drum that leads into the chorus. Pretty certain that's all of it, really cool! Also, the "We were here" part, each time she sings 'We were here' there are more people added in the background so the last one is a huge crowd chanting it. It blows my mind how many of these beautiful little touches they put in their music that can easily go unnoticed. This is why Nightwish are my favourite band... Because even after years, i'll find something i didn't notice before or find some crazy little detail that gives a song more depth than i thought it had.
Love to see you react to 7 Days To The Wolves live @ Wembley, I'm sure you'll be blown away by that performance. Lots of headbanging/windmilling too haha
Thank you. Long before "The God Delusion" he was publishing books that made me obsessed with biology. I have a degree in EV BIO almost solely because of him and EO Wilson.
@@corneliusantonius3108 Actually, from what I remember, they were deists (people who believe God created the universe and hasn't touched it since) because, at the time, science knew far less about the origins of things, so it was a reasonable position to hold and took effort equivalent to being an atheist now.
Seeing you react to this song means the world to me. I am a scientist (currently finishing my PhD). This song is everything to me. This is how I feel in my daily life working with the miraculous creatures of the Earth: bio, physics, mathematics, genetics, doing lab work and sifting through data... I'm a Naturalistic Pagan which means my spirituality is rooted in the observable, verifiable Universe. This fuels my research and also adds value to my daily life. This is a wonderful tribute to the Greatest Show on Earth which, in the human-centric view, is the story of our own evolution.
We welcome everyone to Finland - religious or not. ❤️ But seriously.. quite many of us prefer non-religious, scientific explanation of reality around us. 😉 And personally I don't like the idea of legislation based on religious dogmas.
I think you forgot Emppu and this happens often. Now he may not solo much but his licks and chords are so much there and he deserves the same credit as the others. You would miss him if he wasn't there.
She distracted me when I was talking lol but I dedicated a whole section to him in our Poet and the pendulum reaction. He's essential to Nightwish and 100% reliable.
Very nice reaction. I love Nightwish, especially because Floor comes from my town in The Netherlands called "Goirle" near Tilburg. She also studied here at the rock academy. I am so proud of her!
Damn, i love Wolfkains explanations and way of explaining. Really interesting aswell. Thanks Wolfkain for that. For me really funny, in a way this channel is the opposite of the channel of Vin and Sori, colourwise and Wolfkain is basicly the rational and atheistic version of Vin. Really awesome love it. And sistah is just amazing, what an awesome woman.
@@Brombit mweh.. music wise yes. But i start loathing the christian preaching and apologetics of vin more and more. It has come to a point i'm starting to think the music has become a way for them to preach and prostiletize. The " debates" with some atheists they hold makes me think that even more.
@@Brombit They would go on discussing stuff into eternity (finding out in the process what eternity is, and, hopefully, who was right - if anyone). ;))
thank you for this emotional reaction. my mom love this band and when she die on 27.11.19 i hear the song Ave Maria with both singer and it will be the song to give her the last ride.
ok, wow, when you said this is gonna be the longest video by you so far, I didn't expect 2 hours xD... but awesome, that's gonna be a good evening for me now :)
What some people don’t know is that it was an emotional concert for Floor Jansen as well. Because both her parents were present. See here: ruclips.net/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/видео.html
Wolfkain, you are so right on everything you said. I become so bloody frustrated, at the inability of religious people to grasp basic scientific concepts as well as the arrogance to tell people about things that we I have worked so hard to learn. I myself am an evolutionary biologist and hearing them come out with the same arguments time and time again becomes boring. As for Dawkins, he can be a bit of an arse. But I think that is due to his Oxbridge education, which can make people a bit like that. Also, another recommendation would be that of Prof. Brian Cox. He is amazingly fresh and does not care. Subbed
I love your reaction! You feel all emotions! Her voice, de music, it's magical. I saw Nightwish in Amsterdam and Iaughed, cried and screamed. Absolutely amazing!!
Now that I've managed to compose myself, please let me say thank you for one of the best reaction videos I have ever seen! Thank you for taking the time to go through this song so thoroughly. The song is a masterpiece as is your reaction video. It was awesome to see that I'm not alone in my emotions that this song evokes. I felt everything you both were feeling. I love you guys!
WEEEE WEEERRRREEE HEEERRREEE!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎹🎤🎤🎤🎸🎸 It’s literally impossible not to cry...😭😀 Thanks so much for this, esp. the awesome Sagan bit at the end. Really miss him, his book Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark is a classic...
I'm sure Dave Gilmour would be gracious enough to admit this is one helluva song - if "song" was an adequate word to describe its sheer majesty. I'm no fatalist, but Floor was MEANT for Nightwish. The time was simply right. Her voice had matured to the point where she was ready. Who else could learn a whole catalogue of complicated songs in TWO DAYS? Our Warrior Goddess Floor! 🤘
Normally I prefer this concert, but honestly, for you guys,I think you need to see the Wembley performance of this song. They actually got Dawkins to come onstage and perform the outtro live.
When I first heard this song, it had me weeping. Same as you do right now. I had to watch it like 20 more times to get a grip on my feelings again.. This piece is so soo beautiful. It will always be a favourite of mine. I love that it wrecked you just as it did me. :) great review!
As much as I loved the reaction part of this video, I LOVED the discussion, especially about the fear of death. As a former christian/now atheist, I really resonated with Sistah missing the security blanket of religion, but also strongly agreed with Wolf's breakdown about consciousness and the fear of death.
It's going to absolutely blow Sistah's mind if you ever get around to checking out NW's cover of High Hopes. :D But what an incredible breakdown! Even I learned something new, science-wise. ♥
Hello beautiful couple! I can totally relate to your reaction, Nightwish is such a beautiful creation in all dimensions. I approach the God guestion from another end of the spectrum but shareing the utility of evolution with you. Have you ever wondered to see the recycling of religious ideas actually as an evolution of ideas and human thinking? Doctor of phsycology and a professor of the university of Vancouver Jordan Peterson has made an interesting analysis of Bibles symbolism tanckeling it together with the development of our brains capability to understand the information flow of outside world. If you guys are as open minded as you seem to be, that might be one rabbit hole to dive to. We are just beginning to understand consciousnesses role in being and phsycology will be the one holding the keys to tide the landscape of human mind to the material evolution. Understanding the phsycological importance of angient stories is essential to make it happen tho.
I'm INTP too and it's pretty rare, especially if you are a woman intp like I am. People don't get us much... it's hilarious though, don't really care what people think anyway. I'm from Finland too, nice that somebody send you salmiakki, it's a ride 😂 I always get emotional when I listen to this song, but with you guys I actually shared a tear too
necessitousfox I’m similar, but one is different. The thinking is switched to feeling. I’m sure not many get you guys, it’s kinda sad. I’ve noticed it when it comes to ordinary and people who have had “enlightenment” experiences. They ridicule them for being crazy, because they don’t understand them. People just don’t understand things they’re unfamiliar with and they don’t like it, so they shun it. This is actually mentioned in Plato’s Cave Analogy. I recommend you read it, if you have time and an interest in it.
Extreme INTP and fellow Freethinker here. I only discovered Nightwish recently, and I feel fortunate to not have any emotional baggage that ties me to past female vocalists. Like Floor, they're wonderful where they are now. And like the Universe and Life, Nightwish has evolved.. For me, Floor, along with the genius and virtuosity of every other member of the group, define Nightwish. Love your reactions, both emotional and intellectual.
A phenomenal reaction to a composition that gives me goosebumps each and every time that I listen. Long live Floor Jansen with Nightwish. Thank you. 👍😊🌞
What an amazing reaction, Thankyou so much. Nightwish are such a brilliant band and with Floor who is so special...they’re spectacular. Great channel guys 👍 love from England 🇬🇧
I dont have words to describe the greatness of the analysis done to the song, the reactions of HalfLifeSistah, the comments by Wolf, the music in the background was we was dissecting all the parts from Nightwish awesome song, the glimpse of her party, the words from Carl Sagan for the Pale blue Dot picture by the Voyager. As i heard Sagan's words in the last bits of the video, glimpses of Wolf's analysis, HalfLifeSistah's party, Floor's singing, Tarja and Annette singing as well during their time, Dawkins' texts, Marco's enthusiasm, Amppu's passion, Tuomas' smiling when he sees people's reactions, even my memories from the times I had the opportunity of watching them live... all of them came to my mind, as a projectile of emotions, and it gave me a huge smile... we were here...
I know Floor Jansen only for 4 weeks now, heard her in the Dutch tv show "Beste zangers" which is currently on air here in the Netherlands. Since then i listened to all the Nightwish concerts here on RUclips and dare to say that she is in my humble opinion the best female vocalist on the planet. By a landslide. It's not even a contest. And wow what a band Nightwish is. Incredible.
Harold Andeweg I’m glad you were able to discover her. I’m English so I’ve watched the season through Denise Hofs’ translations of each episodes. I’ve been a fan of Floor for almost two years now, and that series has only reinforced my feelings on her; that she’s my favourite fucking singer ever.
"The greatest show on earth" In the endless time our universe exists, we humans are just a little speck in time. I can't predict the future of humanity, but one thing is for sure.. WE WERE HERE!!! The whole concert is amazing, Tuomas is a musical genius, but to put it into reference. Asian monk chants, Child singing from "Dies irae", Bach's Minuet in G and Toccata and Fugue etc. Enter Sandman and EDM beats? For anyone who cares, Monk chants starts around 41:50,- Dies Irae child singing 41:55 - Bach's minuet in G at 42:05 etc.etc. That's a whole millenia of music compressed into a few minutes in an already awesome song. The music, story and lyrics from Dawkins... Wow..just WOW!! Love your emotions too, stay safe, healthy and full of luck ❤💋
Loved the reaction! What a great song and the two of you are always enjoyable to watch! :) I appreciated the intro and the touch points on Dawkins and Atheism and religion, and while I basically never comment on these things (as these discussions usually turn into mud flinging messes) I did want to give a quick opinion on the general topic. One of the main issues on either side of this discussion is that each side is sure they have it all figured out. Each side can point to this or that and come up with conclusions that they feel comfortable with, which the other side will see was flawed or laughable. The reality is that no one can "scientifically" prove that there is or isn't a higher power out there. We all make our decisions based on our life experiences.....and really most people do this as best as they can with as much integrity as they can. An atheist will have as much luck converting a religious person as a religious person will have trying to convert an atheist. But at the end of the day, how much of that really matters? If there is or isn't a God, what really matters is how we act and how we treat the people in the world around us. As far as I understand things, that aligns with both points of view. I did appreciate you sharing your point of view on the topic, even if I don't necessarily agree with all of it. But while you might wish that people would be more open to understanding your logic and the answers you've found, I would encourage the same thing on your end even if you come back to the same conclusion. I've seen too many things in my life that I can't explain, and while that doesn't have to mean that God exists, my experience certainly leads me to believe that there's something. I'm fairly logical and scientific in my thinking as well, but it wasn't that long ago in the course of humanity that the greatest minds in the world thought the earth was flat. We do the best with what we've got but we don't have all the answers. That said, if we can all stay humble enough to except that fact, we can have fun and potentially enlightening discussions with people who have other ideas.......and maybe avoid massive RUclips flame wars! :) Anyway, keep up the good work!
I can't watch nightwish without crying. I cry when I see beauty knowing that there is so much ugliness too. I dream of a day when beauty doesn't make me cry because we have evolved beyond ugly.
Great reaction👏👏 And i 100% agree with you Wolfkain about evolution and everything. That was truly beautiful❤️❤️ And if u want 2 see Richard Dawkins join them on stage watch their 2015 Wembley concert of the same song, and there is a clip where they interview him after the gig.
Indeed. Funny fact is that Dawkins admitted afterwards that i) he never had such a large audience and was actually freaking out and ii) it was his first ever 'rock' concert, and he enjoyed it a lot. Must see.
I have read that Jukka has official step down from the drumming for good. Kai stays as the permanent drummer, Jukka works for the band at home in Finland. I have met Kai as well as the rest of the band and they are all very nice. I am very glad we have Jukka immortalized on the 2013 live DVD. He is still missed.
As a new fan from nightwish I really appreciate all your input and informations about the band thank you! Literally just started listening this month and it’s already my favorite music and band I’m not exaggerating. Boy what I’ve missed all the time 😅 can’t wait to go to a concert from Nightwish. Love from Germany Keep rockin 🤟
You really should do pink Floyd cover of High Hopes, Marco doing all the singing, I think it's better than the original, with all my respect to Pink Floyd.
This song gets me every time. First time I saw Nightwish live was 2018. They played this song and when Floor asked everyone to sing “We were here,” I physically couldn’t. I was sobbing and was choking on the words. I really hope you both get to see Nightwish live soon because it’s such an experience.
Hey guys.... Much love to Wolf and Sistah from Brazil.... Wolf, I understand your point on "religion is not needed due to the grandeur of the Universe" and all that stuff..... But even the comprehension of what religions have to offer is, in my humble opinion, should not be delegated to nothingness. Even because there's beauty and knowledge in it, as well. In the Hindu religion (sorry for followers if I'm mistaken the religion name), there's the concept of a inflation/contraction theory, that they call "Brahma's breath", which you can straight up conect with the Big Bang and the Entropy idea. Even the String Theory calls up for that knowledge when you get to know the idea of Tatwas, also from the Hindu religion. And notice, they talked about that 6,000 years ago.
So what does it offer that is true that isnt offered by secular ways? There is beauty in fairytales too. Harry potter is beautifull. Just because you can apply things that somewhat are in line with science topics, doesnt mean that was actually meant. Just remove the religion its pointless and has no real value.
@@themplar Perhaps I didn't make it clear... I didnt mean "fantasy" is greater or more important. I'm saying that there's KNOWLEDGE in there too. And even if you look up some of the mythology, it has some meanings behind it. I'm meaning ALL KNOWLEDGE is important. AND, I know that religion has some important negative points, but it also has some capacity to congregate people. I'm aware of all the things the Catholic Church did, but it did some good things too, INCLUDING making science keep on happening in the medieval times... In a strange way, but it did.
@@eduardomendesvieira2561 Sure, not everything in a religion is nonsense. But there is no knowledge that is offered that hasnt arrived by secular ways or could be achieved by secular ways. Yes Hitler did some good things too, whats your point? Nothing religion offers that is true couldnt be offered by purely secular ways, so the religion is obsolete. I agree religion at some point inspired some people to do science. However again... can be achieved by purely secular ways. So lets remove the religion since since its pointless.
@@themplar I get your point, but I dont really think it's pointless. Some people found reason to live in it. Just for that, it has it's own place. I dont think it's supposed to be anything more than that, I dont think theocracies are any good whatsoever, but it has a social importance. You' re allowed to disagree, and say that that can be achieved through secular ways, but some people cant get that in the so called secular ways. Example of what I mean... I am a psychologist, in Brazil. My country is enormous, and some people in here doesnt even know that there is a professional like me to help them. Still, they get some psychological help from priests. And that's the way it was during all the time til Psychology as a science happened. Some of my patients, knowing what my work is meant for, dont let go, and even NEED some spiritual guidance to live their lives. I'm okay with that. Giving that my concern is about their well being. You can say that it doesnt matter, we all gonna die anyway, and it tends to disappear, anyway, yadda yadda yadda... But still, in this moment of mankind, people still need it.

MINIDOCU FLOOR JANSEN: ruclips.net/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/видео.html Floor Jansen - (English&Finnish Subtitles) Interview and Reportage From Tampere [De Reunie](NPO 1)
Toumas decided to do a study and came to 3200 different religions that existed right now 😎
Have you heard the Nightwish song "Sagan"?
Sistah: When Floor says "Kiitos," it is simply Finnish for "thank you." In one of the early concerts, before joining Nightwish full time, she said it in Dutch first, and then in Finnish -- which, when she said it, impressed Tuomas so much he gave her a thumbs-up.
But no -- "Kiitos" simply means "thank you." You asked, I figured I could clear up that bit of mystery, since I've watched many interview videos, and have picked up a bit of Finnish simply because they speak it during those interviews.
THE BEST reaction to the song I've ever seen, hands down.
As a Finn I couldn't be any more proud of Nightwish.

As much as I love Tarja, I feel that with Floor Nightwish has reached their final form.
Floor doesnt do opera as well as tarja, and doesnt do pop as well as annette... but she does BOTH extremely well, which is something the others couldnt really manage.
I love that floor can do justice to the entire nightwish catalog, while still maintaining her own unique sound for new songs.

And if you listen carefully it ends on a house beat to represent 2015.
@@lolistoics Bach, thanks for the info 🤗😊
There was also a moment of bluegrass in there, with the banjo.

I don't think Richard Dawkins is an ass. He just cares more about truth than not offending people. Rightfully so.

@Natalia It is lack of religion, not religion. LOL
Floor is the bridge that connects us to Tuomas' vision and creativity. The band plays and sets the stage. And Floor leafs us by the hand down that path. Theres never enough Nightwish.

HOLD ON.... what the hell was that??
As Trinx pointed out in the comments below.. this truly is ***The Greatest Reaction on Earth*** :)
Thank you SO MUCH!
"We were here" hits me every single time. All of humanity crying out with a single defiant voice to the vast lonely emptiness.
we fucked up and will have destroyed our planet in a couple of years or decades just to be able to eat meat and have some comfort. so yeah, defiant may be most fitting term.
the potential humanity has had was probably huge but we spat on it. Maybe we were some kind of alpha or beta test for an alien software called life. When we will have disappeared the program may be going to be fixed. In the next version brutality, martiality, inhumanity, archaics, racism, xenophobia, speciecism and so on will hopefully be gone.
@jay fine
No.
I believe there's evolutionary reasons for why we want to help each other.
Love itself is the magnetic force that perpetuates our species.
We aren't the best animal in all honesty - no fur, no claws, can't run very fast (as evidenced by Scotland's football team)
What we DO have is a superior brain - we solve problems WAY better than any other animal ... and we have a social mentality ...together we stand, divided we fall.

And Metallica. Tuomas said without metallica there would be no nightwish.
Agreed. It’s older, but Marco tipped it up. I think it’s better than the original
Absolutely. Marco SHINES in that one, and the band is on fire too!

I'm a free thinker. Also want to point out that Dawkins was a world-renowned biologist for decades before the atheism came up.
Thank you. Long before "The God Delusion" he was publishing books that made me obsessed with biology. I have a degree in EV BIO almost solely because of him and EO Wilson.
@@TheNeonParadox Nice!! Isn't this mashup amazing!! This band. These songs. Science!!!! "Because it works, bitches!!"
Well some of the founding fathers of Ameirica were Atheïsts
@@corneliusantonius3108 Actually, from what I remember, they were deists (people who believe God created the universe and hasn't touched it since) because, at the time, science knew far less about the origins of things, so it was a reasonable position to hold and took effort equivalent to being an atheist now.
@@ssokolow Ya Think !
Wow, naturalistic pagan. I'm not into labeling myself, but this resonates with me. Your comment made me tear up a little.
We welcome everyone to Finland - religious or not. ❤️
But seriously.. quite many of us prefer non-religious, scientific explanation of reality around us. 😉
And personally I don't like the idea of legislation based on religious dogmas.
True - separation of church and state defines civil society. Theocratic governance too easily devolves into autocracy and even outright barbarism.
What a song, what a band, what a reactions, no words.... Sistah and Wolf, MINÄKIN ITKEN 😭😭😭👏👏👏
And after the song, I didn't hear you giving the credit to Emppu, so, great guitar playing Emppu 😋🥰🤘
I wish for a collaboration of Vin & Sori & Sistah & Wolf 😀
@@Brombit mweh.. music wise yes. But i start loathing the christian preaching and apologetics of vin more and more.
It has come to a point i'm starting to think the music has become a way for them to preach and prostiletize. The " debates" with some atheists they hold makes me think that even more.
@@Brombit They would go on discussing stuff into eternity (finding out in the process what eternity is, and, hopefully, who was right - if anyone). ;))

You have no idea how happy you just made me :`)
Same here 😄
thank you for this emotional reaction. my mom love this band and when she die on 27.11.19 i hear the song Ave Maria with both singer and it will be the song to give her the last ride.
I see you're starting to grow the trademark Hietala double beard!
ok, wow, when you said this is gonna be the longest video by you so far, I didn't expect 2 hours xD... but awesome, that's gonna be a good evening for me now :)
Haha! Be sure to drop back by and let us know what you thought of it all ;) :* ♥
@@HalfLifeSistah I will :)
July 20 was my brother's birthday R.I.P. He would've liked this song and you two beautiful people.
One of the BEST ever reaction videos i saw here on Ytube. Emotional and real. Ty guys for this.
What some people don’t know is that it was an emotional concert for Floor Jansen as well. Because both her parents were present. See here:

Troy is from my home town of Workington in the north of England. We're all so proud of him
You have a lot to be proud of 👍
Jealous 😂.
You should be indeed. He is a genious on so many instruments!
Great! Troy is important part of band. I live near Tuomas and Emppu, I work in the same city as Marco Hietala (Kuopio).
And so you should be Paul. Congratulations to Workington on producing another of the genius musicians of Nightwish.
Subbed
Today you made me realize how much I love been subscribed to your channel😍
"She has magical hair!"....OMG LLOOLLLL ,' D
I love your reaction! You feel all emotions! Her voice, de music, it's magical. I saw Nightwish in Amsterdam and Iaughed, cried and screamed. Absolutely amazing!!
This video hits me always in the deep end because I was there & thats my hometown where I was born..That made it special
❤️✊🤘
52:35 Tuomas said that song was even longer initially, but because of the release format they needed to cut it down a bit.
@Jouni Well, cut it down by half then :)
@Jouni Man I would give anything to hear the original full version
WEEEE WEEERRRREEE HEEERRREEE!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎹🎤🎤🎤🎸🎸
It’s literally impossible not to cry...😭😀
Thanks so much for this, esp. the awesome Sagan bit at the end. Really miss him, his book Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark is a classic...
Beside the Metallica riff there are a couple of renown classical compositions played on the piano as well.
And, if I'm not mistaken, there are a couple of hip hop bars right after the Metallica riff. I'm pretty sure.
Nightwish was meant for Floor too
Normally I prefer this concert, but honestly, for you guys,I think you need to see the Wembley performance of this song.
❤️✊🤘
great reaction, tnx for taking us with u on this journey...
:*
I think the most incredible thing about this song and Nightwish in general is that every single time I listen, I hear something new
It's going to absolutely blow Sistah's mind if you ever get around to checking out NW's cover of High Hopes. :D
But what an incredible breakdown!
Anu Haapsalo thank you for mention it, I will review about professor Peterson ❤️
I'm INTP too and it's pretty rare, especially if you are a woman intp like I am. People don't get us much... it's hilarious though, don't really care what people think anyway. I'm from Finland too, nice that somebody send you salmiakki, it's a ride 😂
I always get emotional when I listen to this song, but with you guys I actually shared a tear too
necessitousfox I’m similar, but one is different.
Female IMTP here too!
Floor throws down...ONE HELL OF A WINDMILL!!. 🔥💥
It's moments like this I wish RUclips had a love-button
I cried too when I watched that version 💚
From 45:59 onwards a few second Marco's face brought tears to my eyes because he looks genuinely as happy as a man can be
Extreme INTP and fellow Freethinker here.
These bastards Onion Ninjas attack here too... in the same "We were here" part...
Lol. 😂❤
I believe the greatest gift we have is the ability to think. Not just accept.
"The greatest show on earth"
In the endless time our universe exists, we humans are just a little speck in time.
I appreciated the intro and the touch points on Dawkins and Atheism and religion, and while I basically never comment on these things (as these discussions usually turn into mud flinging messes) I did want to give a quick opinion on the general topic.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
I can't watch nightwish without crying. I cry when I see beauty knowing that there is so much ugliness too. I dream of a day when beauty doesn't make me cry because we have evolved beyond ugly.
There is no beauty without ugliness.
Must see.
I was in that concert with my girlfriend also!!! It was huge!!!!!
Love from Germany
Keep rockin 🤟
Thank you, love! 😊
Glad you enjoyed guys experienced.
I wish I was going to a NW concert.

You really should do pink Floyd cover of High Hopes, Marco doing all the singing, I think it's better than the original, with all my respect to Pink Floyd.

You won’t be disappointed..
When people realize that’s Floor doing the animal growl it blows their minds
I always saw Dawkins as a renowned Biologist who used to be on the TV giving the Royal lectures.
i'd like to say something to contribute in this... but... i'm just speechless.

As a very confused person today on religion, this shook me. Thanks!
