Simple Meal Prep for Weight Loss | Low calorie & high protein lasagna you need to make this week!

  • Hi there! I’m back with another recipe that is perfect for meal prep. You can prep these for lunch or dinner. The best part is you can make a big batch and freeze for a later date when you don't have time to cook, but still want to stay on plan! This low calorie, high protein lasagna is absolutely delicious and feels indulgent. Weight Watcher points and calories included.
    -- Recipe --
    Protein Lasagna
    INGREDIENTS
    • 1 lb 93% 7% ground turkey
    • 1/2 jar of marinara sauce (I use Rao's Sensitive Marinara)
    • 6 Lasagna Noodles
    • 1/4 cup part skim mozzarella cheese
    • 1 cup low fat cottage cheese (I use Good Culture)
    • Salt to taste
    • Pepper to taste
    • 1 tbsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Boil water and cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain once done.
    2. Spray non-stick spray in skillet. Add ground turkey and seasonings. Allow to cook.
    3. Once turkey is done, add tomato sauce.
    4. Assemble lasagna by adding small layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Add 3 lasagna noodles, spread cottage cheese and add meat sauce. Continue steps to assemble the second layer.
    5. Enjoy!
