This easy no boil lasagna recipe uses two meats and three cheeses for amazing flavor. Your favorite jarred spaghetti sauce keeps it simple!
Lasagna with Ricotta or Cottage Cheese
When I was growing up, I always had lasagna with cottage cheese. I didn’t really eat any ricotta because I didn’t love the texture. We always put cottage cheese in lasagna in place of ricotta.
Now that I’m older, I can handle ricotta in lasagna. You can use either cottage cheese OR ricotta in this recipe. Use the same for either cheese you choose. Both are delicious, but ricotta is more authentic.
Do you have to cook noodles for lasagna?
In this recipe, we don’t cook the noodles before we assemble the lasagna. The liquids from the spaghetti sauce should be enough that the noodles will cook beautifully in the oven as the lasagna bakes.
PRO TIP
If your sauce is a thick, hearty sauce, add ½ cup water to the edges of the pan. If your sauce is runnier like Old World Style Ragu, you won’t need as much water

I started a new thing at our house a few weeks back where one of the grandkids cooks dinner every Wednesday. I just helped our 13 year old grandson prepare your recipe for tonight's dinner. Everyone is hanging around the kitchen drooling. Yum!😋
Loved it, it came out amazing and so delish. Thank you so much Lizzy❤
Such a simple and excellent recipe, it’s easy Af to make and tastes amazing
Looks amazing. Trying this one tonight
Hi great recipe, always made this way without cooking noodle, long before no boil ones never used, jar my family sauce, been making 2 now with all the kids, but 1 no meat, it's 5 cheese lasagna, works great, parmesan, ricotta, mozzarella, fontina, and provolone cheese. Made mistake getting sharp provolone but everyone loved it, so will be recipe from now on. Hope everyone tries cooking with raw noodles, let lasagna sit 20-30 min after and slices come out perfect, tyvm
I haven’t boiled noodles for over 20 years….assembled lasagna, pour some h2o around the perimeter, bake and enjoy!
@@dianeboltz9626 exactly lol. I cover to steam then remove, continue cooking learned 42 yrs ago when grandma thought me at 8yrs old, I did try nobake once (forgot) and not same, doing with real noodles the starch tightens up perfect 👍🍺

I’m going to make this sometime this week.. I love lasagna.. Ty for sharing your recipe!😊
I tell you what! It looks stinkn delicious!!!!! 🤤
Yum! Looks so good. My hubs gave me a nice new box grater for Christmas (among other things, lol) so might as well put it to use. Also, for some reason, this Christmas I wound up with lots of cheese: Mozzarella, Gouda, Asagio, etc.! Will definitely use some for this dish. Thanks for sharing!!
Love this and I make it all the time and always reference back to your video! Yummy and thanks
Wonderful! Thank you!
Tonight is my second time making this recipe. Me and my fiancé absolutely love it. I shredded my cheese myself and it makes the lasagna so creamy. And I use oven ready noodles. It is in the oven now. I can’t wait. I am making homemade garlic bread to go with it. Thank you for sharing this!!
That sounds amazing!!
made this for my family & they absolutely loved it!! thank you for the recipe
Thanks
This is a really E-Z recipe to follow, so thank you for these easy steps! For me, there was way too much cheese for the top at the end and made it way too thick of a cheese layer that my family had to take it off the top to eat what was below. So, my learning is to use 1 less cup of mozzarella, and it would have been perfect. I will use this E-Z recipe again and cut back on 1 cup of the cheese on top and only use 1/2 the amount of mozzarella in addition to adding a few more Italian spices. Also, we like onion, so I added chopped onion to my meat, it was tasty. Thanks again for the E-Z recipe to follow!
I am preparing this w/ salad and garlic bread for 40 volunteer firefighters tomorrow.
I love that!!! I hope they enjoy every bite!
My honey made your recipe it is DELISH!
That made my day!! Thank you!
@@TastesofLizzyT 😊how can I send you a pic and video of it
I used oven ready GF noodles but the edges and the lower layer turned out dry to where it was hard to chew. The instructions I had said to bake it to 425 for 60 min. Perhaps baking it at a lower temperature like 350 or 375 like you said will limit the dryness all the way around.
Yes, try our recipe!!
😢 i miss the veggies. Can i add to meat sauce?
Absolutely!
How many does this feed?
I just asked the same question. Is this good for eight people? I’m waiting for an answer that maybe I’ll get.
It uses the same proportions as other recipes that serve 12 people.
@@krystalriley4009 12 people. NO way.
@@joanl5600 8 people would be stretching it, particularly without sides. I'd say make 2; freezes well.
@@jeffkeeth6380 I made it recently and fed a lot more than 12 people and only had salad and bread sides.
Ooh man ,not the jarred tomato sause…. 😂 sorry, probably just a preference thing but I never could find a jarred tomato sauce that taste good. That and it’s soo easy to make homemade tomato sauce.
You’re beautiful! Cool video
Pro tip buy the pre cooked lasagna noodles
Do mine with cottage cheese. I find ricotta too strong (personally).
same here
Try doing a small small layer in the middle only, then do everything else the same as you always do with your cottage cheese. It’s amazing the super small touch of ricotta really does it up nice. Use the brand Galbani and you’ll love it!
I hope this will feed eight people. Nobody gives you a count on how many people for which this will work,
and it seems to be a 9 x 14“ pan, but that’s not certain either.
Not sure for 8 hungry people, particularly without sides.
You can always add a lettuce salad, and a large loaf of garlic bread. Those are my favorite things to serve with lasagna. If there are leftovers, they will not be leftover for long. Gelato for dessert. The only one unhappy is the dieter. Lol
