Same here! Im from Scandinavia and I feel like Australia is this paralell, tropical version of us. But that's just in my own head. Then when I saw this build with the brighter woods, light colours and open plan. It may actually be similar!
I loved the Aussie info, love the shelves around the craft table, LOVE that you forgot the fridge, REALLY love that you have a doctor appointment, and love YOU! I hope you get answers soon 🥰
Thanks so much for focusing more on Australian architecture! After many years of European and US style houses in the sims 4, this is like a fresh breath of air and I am really happy to learn more about your country. Take good care of yourself and take all the time you need to get well!
Love hearing about Australian architecture! Feel better soon Deli, until then take as much rest as you need, we'll all still be here when you're 100% again! ❤️
Another reason that Aussie houses have big open plan living areas at the back is when an extension has been added to the back of a pokey 1800s workers cottage. Loving the Australian newcrest builds!
So good to see you, Deli…I’m so sorry that you’re still so sick, but hopefully the GYNO has some solutions, both for helping short term and for keeping you healthy long term! ❤🙏🏼 Beautiful build, as ALWAYS 😊 Love hearing the facts about Australia.
These are not only speed builds, it goes beyond that! It's such an experience to hear you talking about Australian culture, and your life, while watching you build an incredible house! Keep doing this please 🥺💕
I've drilled into my head that I cannot make just a rectangular build and I need to make bump outs, but yours always turn out so good even with just a simple rectangle. My mind is always blown!
Health first, always, Deli. I just had major surgery and surprise expenses due to that so I had to cancel my RUclips memberships but I also hope to be rejoin when things get better for me. It was a treat to get a video from you though. I hope that your health issues come to a happy and healthy conclusion soon. ❤
I love to see you back! I'm so happy that you got an appointment with a doctor, I really hope that goes well for you and that they'll figure out what's wrong. About the carpet/floorboards: I live in Sweden where it certainly gets below 0 degrees for months. We almost never have carpet on our floors here. I can't remember seeing that anywhere other than in hotels. We have rugs, for sure, because the floors get cold but not carpet. It gets more and more common though in new houses but it's not in any way common yet.
I found it really interesting when you were talking about Australian architecture. I find learning about the way houses are built in other countries. I have lived in a really hot and really cold country and I've definitely noticed the difference in the way houses are built.
I love your explanation of what is going on with houses in Australia (I’m from the US) because I love watching home tours and the architecture/ design of homes in Australia and this provides much context from what I have seen! Love the homes, so much more interesting than normal US suburbia
I absolutely love the idea of a shared property with detached sections for family members! ❤ Even if someone moves out the space could be rented out. In south africa real estate is also very expensive so this is a brilliant solution to sharing a home while also having privacy... Great build Deli 💕🙈
my favourite part of your videos is how much you share about Australia and how you view the Sims from such an architectural standpoint, it's super interesting and I hope you continue to inform us more about Australia! I know a little bit since a lot of people form my country (Malta) have relocated to Australia and a ton of us have family living there, would love to visit someday :)
I always watch deligracy’s videos when I’m sad or crying because she always without fail makes me calm down and makes me happy. I’m so great full for her❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh i love this house, the interior is so soft and homey 🥹 also the bookshelf as side tables is such a great idea !!! everything works so well together 🩵
I think it’s cool that your Newcrest build is more Australien. I’m from the US and I love to hear about Australia! Your builds are always amazing. Feel better Deli ♥️
I totally agree with us Australians loving our back yards. I am currently building a house with my partner in Adelaide and I can not wait to sit out the back on our alfresco and enjoy the outdoors ❤️
I love your builds they are so open, simple, and spacious. I adore the fact that they have room for additional things your sims might need and aren't overly decorated.
I'm from the southern US, I love hearing about other countries. We learn so little about them here so it's incredibly interesting. I've been considering rebuilding Newcrest based on my neighborhood and possibly starting a channel to share it there. I live in Historic Mobile, AL, USA. Once I learn how to record and edit that is 😂 love ADHD
Hey Deli, sending positive vibes and energy your way. I really loved that hexagonal island you did in the kitchen first, I’ve never even thought of doing that but I will definitely be trying that in my next build. Thanks for the idea and inspiration. Be well 👋
We love seeing you back 🥰 also love hearing more about australia’s architecture, since it is pretty much the opposite to the (traditional) architecture here in austria! Hope you are feeling better 🥰
So great to see you back Deli! Also love your beanie. It's so cute! I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. We are all here for you Deli!❤❤❤
I love hearing about Australia while watching the build simultaneously… great build … super exited to see the Newcrest series, I love seeing your modern architecture, ur supper talented ! ❤
So interesting to hear about home and furnishing trends in Australia. In Germany, open plan kitchen/living areas are really big right now (I personally prefer a dining kitchen separate from the living room, because of the cooking smells - I hate to have the smell of fish or fermented foods linger in the upholstered furniture...) and we're also all ripping out the carpets that were huge in the 80s and 90s and replacing them with wood or wood-looking vinyl flooring :D
I enjoy your Australia builds Deli and the architecture. Open floor plans are my favorite IRL great for families. Having a mother-in-law home area/home some people do have those here in America. I saw them in Utah when I lived there. I am enjoying the kits they have been awesome and I use them a lot. I think the team have upped the game on the kits IMHO. Hope you get to feeling better. Hugs .
The living space is so good! I like having a more closed off kitchen IRL, but the open plan just looks so lovely. Also the book shelves as nightstands is genius. Looks perfect!
Feel better! I’ve experienced having life and health yanked out from under me with no explanation and years of searching for answers and recovery. It’s so frustrating and depressing in the moment and I’m glad you have wonderful support in your life because it makes all the difference. A lot of people find the “spoon theory” written by a woman with lupus very comforting and useful when dealing with limitations from an illness no one can see.
i find this so interesting Deli! Who knew the Sims could be informative. I've never been to Australia so this is definitely an interesting way to get to know your country. A lot of the sims 4 build and buy options are very centered around American architecture and as a result a lot of lots are in this style. But as a non-American i really love to see more diversity! Thank you and hope you are well :)
I'm really enjoying this Newcrest build series with the Australian vibe. I'm from the UK so our architecture and way of living is very different. I also like all the Aussie-related talk as 20 years ago exactly I spent 5 months backpacking round the country, so I will always have a soft spot for it and like to hear what's going on over there! I didn't make it to Southern Australia or Victoria but toured the remaining mainland states so it's interesting to hear about the different types of architecture you have. Really sorry to hear you're still unwell, I hope you get some answers and start feeling better soon. It's horrible when your health does a 180 on you, trying to adjust is nigh on impossible. I have M.E. and this last year I went from being pretty healthy and very active to not being well enough to work anymore and losing most of my old life thanks to chronic fatigue and pain. So I totally appreciate how you must be feeling and wish you a speedy recovery, you must always put your health first!
This is a beautiful build! I have to second what others are saying: I love learning more about Australia. I'm an English major from Central Europe and we never paid attention to the southern English-speaking countries (or Canada for that matter). And it's great to learn about other places through their architecture - it always says a lot about both the history and the current lifestyles of the inhabitants. Take care and we will always be here once you're back.
I loved hearing you talk about the housing crisis in Australia, I'm in Canada and we have that too. I live at home because I couldn't afford my apartment anymore (very privileged that my mom had room and was willing to let me move back in). It makes me feel better hearing others talking about it as it can feel very hopeless 💕
We missed you! I hope you are finally getting the answers to your soon health. I love hearing more about Australia one of my friends is Australian too and it seems like such a cool place to visit someday. America is the same, it is very expensive to move out here.
I always find it super interesting to learn about the similarities and differences in life between countries. Hope you get back to feeling 100% soon, Deli! c:
My Gran's old house, in Sydney, was pretty old, red brick single storey that they added a second floor to when my mum was a teenager. It has always surprised me the way that Australian architecture has gone in the last few decades in terms of the open-plan look - her place has no aircon, just ceiling fans, but the brick is pretty thick and the windows relatively small and shaded with traditional overhangs, and it's really nicely cool on the inside. It definitely isn't always comfortable not to have aircon (lots of blinds drawn for shade, hosing down the outside walls) but the individual divided rooms on the inside helps to keep the heat separated - the back of the house can get quite warm from the sun, but it can be separated off, so that heat doesn't spread as much - which obviously doesn't work with open plan.
I enjoy hearing about the houses in Australia!! In America, our housing market is crazy right now, too! Thank you for sharing so much about your country with us! I hope your health really improves. I have been in that situation and I know how rough it is to have your life hit a roadblock. Hang in there and keep taking care of yourself.
So nice to see you here again! Thank you for the insight on Australia living. It's a dream destination for me. I'm in Vermont USA. My town is only 8 miles from Canada. -34 C to 30 C. We can get by without air-conditioning in our homes. but we need some heat source most months. Please continue to focusing on your health first! We will still be here for you when you're feeling 100% again.
thank you for the insight into Australian architecture! i see a lot of Sims builders struggling to make beautiful roofs when so many houses in real life are just simple. it's good to know another place that's like that
So sorry to hear about your health struggles. I'm having some health things too and sometimes it can be difficult to adjust and deal with. I hope you get some help and feel better soon! Will always be a member as long as I financially can, happy to help out. Thank you for making as much content as you can. Love seeing these vids!
i would love to see some classic 70-90s australian homes- perhaps with an updated, modern twist? like a first home buyer has renovated it to make it their own! btw i hope you're feeling better and taking care of yourself deli
Millennial Australian here (NSW) and totally agree with everything you are saying Building in the sims is a way of living out my fantasy of owning my own home, really loving this modern Australiana build series.
So happy to see you on youtube again, Deli! I've been missing your videos, but just take things at your pace and concentrate on yourself, as you seem to be doing now I'm watching youtube basically every night before going to sleep, and almost every time it's either you or James. So don't worry, I think many of us will just watch James for the time being :D, and wait for you to come back for a more regular schedule when you're ready!
Glad you were feeling well enough to film. I (an American) love hearing you talk about what it's like in Australia. Hope you and your doctor(s) get everything figured out and sorted so you can have more and more good days.
I live in Sydney Australia and yes it's so expensive. A plot of dirt 300m2 is now almost 900k in a newly developed area. Every time you think you have a good deposit, the prices skyrocket again and it constantly feels like you're chasing a finish line that keeps moving away. I'm go thankful parent are happy for us kids to stay as long as we want. We even have 2 granny flats and still have a good sized backyard for my daughter to play in.
So sad to hear you're still unwell! Thought I would share some things I do to manage endometriosis and PCOS pain in case it helps. I use a nice heating pad or hot water bottle (sometimes I lay under a heated blanket - so soothing). I have a cooling eye mask I keep in the fridge because I get headaches. And a bit of lavender or peppermint oil on the nose and temples. Also laying on your tummy on the floor! It really releases all your back and abdominal muscles that you might be clenching from pain. I hope this helps someone
I love hearing and learning everything about your culture! It’s so awesome! Also was excited to see your video pop up. Been worried about ya! Thanks for sharing your health update with us! I will continue to keep you in my prayers. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾💕
Learning about housing (and other things) in Australia is so interesting! I'm from the Georgia in the US, and it's so nice seeing what housing is like in other places. It helps me get more ideas for my own Sims builds. I'm very excited to download all of these Newcrest builds. It would also be really interesting to learn about some holidays you may celebrate in Australia that we don't here or do but differently so we can celebrate in the Sims. You are my favorite simmer!
American here, I love hearing you talk about Australia, it's cool to learn about different countries for me. Also it's crazy to me that you don't go below freezing when my winters in the valley of Washington State are always so cold (like sometimes 4F, about -16C) and the summers are so hot (up to or more than 100F, 38C). I'd love to visit Australia one day but I am super sensitive to burning so I'd have to be careful.
When I was a kid (early 80s) there was a show - I don't remember if it was Sesame Street or 3-2-1 Contact, but a show like that - it had a segment where it showed how children lived around the world. I was fascinated by the different houses. I never lost that growing up. I have always been extremely interested in houses around the world, specifically how environment and local natural disasters plays a part in house design. We have homes here along the Ohio River that are up on stilts like that due to flooding being a common issue. Many houses in New England have an outdoor (or screened in) walkway like in your build called a breeze way, and it was a place to sit and stay a bit cooler before air conditioning. So yes, I want to see more homes from the rest of the world, especially if you explain the purpose of certain features. Side note - the segment from Australia featured a family that lived in an underground home dug into the clay. I remember they were pregnant, and were planning on digging an additional room. For a long time as a child, I did think all Australians lived underground due to extreme heat.
I live in the UK and love hearing about the housing/architecture situation in Aus! I find it fascinating how taxes/laws/different factors influence the ways we live ☺
I really appreciate how you share with us Australian architecture. Considering that I will be taking Architecture in college, learning about other architectural styles will surely help me. Thanks, Deli! ❤
I've been following you and watching your stories and I'm very happy you have gotten an early appointment, it's no fun being in pain :( The floor plan was very different from America! But it's also super fun to see and hear about Australia builds. I loved the color range and how fun this house is too!
I’m from Australia and love hearing you talk about it too LOL, our area is slowly being sub divided off too, lots of beautiful 60s and 70s houses being bulldozed, but I get it, it’s a lot cheaper and easier to run a smaller house. Hope you start feeling like yourself again soon. xx
That is super cool that you are talking about stuff like this, bc i had no idea how architecture work there bc im from europe. also i loveeeeee your buildings
I hope the appointment goes well and they find out what's up! Take your time with the recovery and don't overdo it. I'll be happy to see all your lovely content when you're back to good health (and I am sooouuu looking forward to getting a garden update when you're better, too hehe)
Oh, I love this series! I feel like I'm learning more about Australian architecture, the housing market in the country, etc. It's delightful! (I live in Washington D.C.-also a very expensive place to live haha!)
I love hearing about Australia and it's architecture, when I think of a 'typical' Australian suburban house I think of the Federation Style, I feel that style became Australians own style after the Victorian and Colonial styles that were much more British themed. I'm from the UK btw lol x
Yes with the Australia lessons !!! I find it fascinating to learn about people's homes and cultures... and Australia is really a place that calls out to me ! It is a goal of mine to visit and travel across. I love hearing about the tiny details we wouldn't think about in pur day to day lives... such as it's a colder climate in the South blows my mind ... I mean obviously it's logical but it's not really something I think about 🤷♀️ Anyhoo, glad you where able to get an appointment sooner rather than later ! Good luck with everything 😘😘😘
I'm from the US and I found what you were saying about Australia homes and lifestyle very interesting. I hope you are feeling a little bit better, or start to feel better soon.
Beautiful home and I loved hearing what houses are like in Auz and its wonderful to see you back and I hope your health will be back to normal soon. Luv and hugs x to you and James :)
I really love the build. One thought I had while you were building the study nook was building a wall with a big glass door, so it can cancel the noise! And it would enhance the corridor idea without being too claustrophobic because of the glass door. Otherwise very nice build. Houses with long corridors are common here in Brazil too (mine has one haha). Love from Brazil, glad you'll be able to resolve your issue sooner rather than later. ❤
Really enjoying learning more about Australian homes! In Swede it’s also more open plan and really love the look of it! 😍 I love the way Australian homes looks! Would love this style here in Sweden 😍
We live in Western Australia and renting a new house (built last year) and we don't habe A/C (also used as heater) yet. The House is so well insulated, that I'm freezing all day, now in Winter although it's quite warm on most days outside :D Love that you're going for australian architecture ♥
Glad to see you back! I love learning about Australia and would be interested to see you explore history in some houses. Build your confidence back, girl! Dont apologize for who are and the choices you make. Your fans love you for YOU
I love hearing more about Australia! Tell us more anytime! ❤
Same here! Im from Scandinavia and I feel like Australia is this paralell, tropical version of us. But that's just in my own head. Then when I saw this build with the brighter woods, light colours and open plan. It may actually be similar!
I love how proud you are of your heritage and always referencing Australian architecture! Love to see it ❤
I loved the Aussie info, love the shelves around the craft table, LOVE that you forgot the fridge, REALLY love that you have a doctor appointment, and love YOU! I hope you get answers soon 🥰
Aw thanks Chelsea!!

I am in love with your contemporary Australiana builds. They’re so clean and such a breath of fresh air in a sea of US and Europe centric builds 🥰🤗
Yay your back!!!! I hope you feel better we have all missed you❤
Absolutely loved hearing about architecture in Australia and the reason behind certain houses and floorplans. It was very entertaining to listen to 👍
Another reason that Aussie houses have big open plan living areas at the back is when an extension has been added to the back of a pokey 1800s workers cottage. Loving the Australian newcrest builds!
It's so good to hear you're putting your health first! Having any sort of video every once in a while is an absolute bliss
So good to see you, Deli…I’m so sorry that you’re still so sick, but hopefully the GYNO has some solutions, both for helping short term and for keeping you healthy long term! ❤🙏🏼

The use of the teal colour especially in the bathrooms and on the appliances in the butlers pantry is BEAUTIFUL!
I am in-love with the new Kit, and Deli you used it amazingly well! Deli-builds are some of my faves!!!
I think it’s cool that your Newcrest build is more Australien. I’m from the US and I love to hear about Australia! Your builds are always amazing. Feel better Deli ♥️

Oh my goodness Deli so happy to see that lovely smile! Glad you’re back and feeling better 🤗
Millennial Australian here (NSW) and totally agree with everything you are saying
Building in the sims is a way of living out my fantasy of owning my own home, really loving this modern Australiana build series.
This was so interesting to learn about Australia!!
Glad you were feeling well enough to film. I (an American) love hearing you talk about what it's like in Australia. Hope you and your doctor(s) get everything figured out and sorted so you can have more and more good days.
This build was so pretty! Glad you’re back for a bit, can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us, but take care of you first ❤
I love the bookshelves as bedside tables, such a great idea, thank you!! Edit: Oh wow it's so good as a cookbook shelf too
Tbh, love getting a history lesson, thank you Deli!
Aw thank you!
I've been following you and watching your stories and I'm very happy you have gotten an early appointment, it's no fun being in pain :(
The floor plan was very different from America! But it's also super fun to see and hear about Australia builds. I loved the color range and how fun this house is too!
I’m off to Perth for 3 weeks in January visiting family, I can’t wait 🤩
I absolutely love the use of so many big windows to bring the sunlight in!
Oh, I love this series! I feel like I'm learning more about Australian architecture, the housing market in the country, etc. It's delightful! (I live in Washington D.C.-also a very expensive place to live haha!)
Love this build Deli! I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through, please take time and look after yourself. All our love is with you
I love hearing about Australia and it's architecture, when I think of a 'typical' Australian suburban house I think of the Federation Style, I feel that style became Australians own style after the Victorian and Colonial styles that were much more British themed.
I mean obviously it's logical but it's not really something I think about 🤷♀️
Anyhoo, glad you where able to get an appointment sooner rather than later ! Good luck with everything 😘😘😘
I’m so glad to see you! I really hope you’ve been doing ok. Also that hat is freaking adorable ❤
I'm from the US and I found what you were saying about Australia homes and lifestyle very interesting. I hope you are feeling a little bit better, or start to feel better soon.
Glad to have you back. Your health is more important than a video we all want you to get better. I love learning more about Australia.
Welcome back Deli! ❤Hope you're feeling better!
So good to see you Deli!
Your fans love you for YOU
I always found learning about other styles of building of other country interesting
