Thanks for the video, Roger! Just so others are aware, their faucet (like mine) may be different. I was prepared to replace the spring and washer, but turns out my 2-handle faucet was different. It deployed screw-on brass valve stems that had a size 0 rubber washer that was held on at the bottom with a Phillips screw. Also an easy repair, but just a different configuration.
Roger, your videos are always helpful and I’m thankful that I subscribed to your channel because if I ever have a plumbing problem or emergency I will use your videos to help me.
its ALWAYS important to know where your water and gas shut off valves are to your house...this is information everyone living in the home NEEDS to know
I've been following your videos for a while now, and you are always informative and on point with your content. I admire you and would love to collaborate if you want a guest on your channel. Keep up the great work!
Process of elimination is very important I have bath faucet that dripping & since it is old I not sure if it has cartage or the old rubber type will not know until I remove them I plan on replacing both and hopefully I not need the whole new faucet setup.
Well THAT sure worked out perfectly! Lol! Were they ALL this simple & accessible! Lol I think you missed one of the most important steps: Step 0: COVER/PLUG the DRAIN(S) in case you drop a screw/washer/spring etc. into the sink and it rolls down the drain (as you curse in slow-motion!)
Hey Roger, With so many differant types/brands of faucet, do you have to take the cartridge out to referance what to go buy? Or are they basic and easy enough to find whereas a guy could not have to make 2 trips and have the homeowner be without water How about making sure your basket strainers are in? Removing the airiater also not a bad idea and being prepared to replace bad shut-off valves. In advance.
I'm still struggling with a kitchen and lavatory slow leak on faucets. I've taken them apart and replaced the spring/rubber. Sounds like I'll have to replace the cartridge next to fix it.
"Dirty Hoe Garden Supply" made me and my girlfriend crack up XD Thanks for the helpful vid. Commenting and liking for "engagement points" and subscribing.
Mine didn't have a spring or rubber washer under the cartridge. Spent the last 30 min trying to find it till I realized it wasn't there. Turns out they don't all have one. Would have been nice to know for anyone with similar issue 👍🏻
Hello Roger. I was not able to find an email address or a way to contact you other than left a RUclips comment. Regardless I was wondering if you could help me prepare for an interview I have coming up with my local plumbers and pipefitters union. I love your videos so much it has inspired me to pursue a career in plumbing and hopefully one day become a master plumber and be able to teach younger generations.
Hey Trevor…I have a link in my description on how to get in contact with me. I have multiple videos on preparing for a job interview on what questions to ask and how to answer questions. Hopefully those help you out…good luck on your journey !
No problem getting the handles off, allen wrench and philips head, but I cant get the cartridge off. Its cheap plastic and im afraid to use too much force and end up stripping the threads. Bathroom faucet, 2 handles, cold is a very slow drip, but hot recently started getting worse. Ive resorted to turning the sink water off at bedtime because I know the drip is costing me on my water bill. I guess call a plumber??? Unless someone has advise on how to get a stubborn cartridge out? The nut that it sits on will not turn and im afraid to force it. My husband installed this stuff 18 years ago, so it's old. This only started after he died earlier this year. Of course. Happy Holidays!!! 😂😂😂 Thank goodness for the easy 1/4 turn individual shut-off valves at every water source. Gotta find every silver lining. Going to spray some wd-40 and let it sit overnight.
You need to have a license to do plumbing. Look up in your area what is required to be a plumber. Most likely you will need to do at least 4 years of apprentice work...Hope this helps
Roger I hired a plumber who uses shark bites because he said he didn't want to start a fire in the wall, but he turned out to be the WORST plumber in the country. He flooded my basement, ruined my shower plumbing, horrible finish work. Nightmare experience.
Perfectly what I needed, thanks. It was the same model or clone. Worked great. $13 gaskets, springs, AND new cartridges. So cool.

Wow, this was a lifesaver for me. Lots of company tomorrow. My faucets are not leaking anymore.!
Great to hear!
Again, your video made quick work of my leaking faucet. Thanks so much for your videos!

To you Roger, from Roger...Thank you Roger for the kind words...
Speaking from my VERY limited experience, it is a good idea to know where the main water shut off is in your house as well. Thank you for the vid!

I was distracted by the $1,000 worth of packout boxes in the background. 😂
👀 they do look nice don’t they

Now do a univalve facet, please!

It’s worth a shot…hope that fixes the problem!
How do I tell what parts need to be replaced? Cartridges can be spendy
are there any parts that look damaged? You may not have to replace anything, just take it apart, clean it and put it back together
"Dirty Hoe Garden Supply" made me and my girlfriend crack up XD Thanks for the helpful vid. Commenting and liking for "engagement points" and subscribing.
im flabbergasted at those SharkBite angle stops
It’s a QuickFitting same type of fitting…different brand..way better
I need to learn trades to fix a fing faucet, so complicated

Yep. Mine was just a cartridge. However, the majority of the video I found helpful.
Is that a Tag on his left wrist? Nice watch!

How would you remove the gasket if the stem in the middle sprays from the bottom?
What no handle puller?
I just tell the customer to buy a new faucet lol
What do I do if it is not the cold nor hot water, or the net on the faucet? I guess replace the whole faucet?
Roger bro. Plz tell me. What is the requirements for getting the plumbing job. In USA. From Pakistan
You need to have a license to do plumbing. Look up in your area what is required to be a plumber. Most likely you will need to do at least 4 years of apprentice work...Hope this helps
@@RogerWakefield can we get a job in USA. As a plumbing. When have experience and license?

Sooo sorry to hear about this, sharkbites are a 🚩
He could have used a brass compression fitting.
@@chris76-01 could have used pro-press.
Maybe get someone with a license next time instead of the guy in front of Home Depot ma’am
@@unclej7621 maybe shove a stick up where the sun don't shine, buddy.
My faucet has no screws , or anything to take off. What do you do?
Some have a set screw usually hidden beneath a plug, on mine it's the blue or red marker on the faucet
Kitchen sink has no turn off valve. Gotta go outside. I have a ball joint.

Sure thing...

I just change out the whole fixture, and fuggeddiboutit
On my cold water side water is dripping under the sink when the handle is turned on.
It drips directly from under the mounting nut. Any idea why?
May need to replace the faucet. You need to find out where the water is coming out of the faucet at…
I took off my handle and removed the stem gasket and spring and it is still leaking from my hot water valve. What else could it be?
This is way too much for me..I think I'll just call a plumber!
Couldn't you tell from feeling the drip?
Not always. In the summer a "cold" water tap isn't very cold
Roger, what if it still leaks after shutting off both valves?
then it may be one of your valves..
@@RogerWakefield
Good looking out I will have to look into that, maybe it would be a good video for you to cover.
Ifi screw up wouldn't I ĵst go under sink and turn it off there and not and the main?
Change the angle stops and supply hoses too for some extra $ lol
