Melissa and Allison's friendship has lasted decades. Karen Grassle looks fantastic. Such wonderful memories of Little House on the Prairie with my oldest sister Amy.
As a child from an abusive home, I couldn't wait for this show to come on. Honestly, it made me believe I could have a home like this someday. It taught me about loyalty, honesty, love and how to be a parent. At 53, I am happy to say I do have a loving home. It has been 25 blissful years. I am so grateful.
I have a similar story! (I am turning 50 next month) They inspired me to live the life that I’m living now and raise my kids with! I also had the whole book series and read them over and over. I was obsessed with them being my first favorite. Second, the Waltons, third Anne of Green Gables.
I'm 54. I loved Little House in Prairie very much, in German "Unsere kleine Farm". I saw it in the 80s in East Germany in West Germany television, which we could receive. Melissa Gilbert was my hero in my childhood. The series was full of really love, which was warming in the time of Cold War. Warm greetings from Germany
+1,watched often in The Netherlands but seems many times a replays so i did buy the whole serie old and new so soon i gonna watch now with my new dvd platyr the whole serie...back to memorie lane the good time!!:))
same here, over in Germany/ Europe. I loved to watch it, qs q kid, as a teen, (after school), as a young adult, to relax after work or a day at the University, and now. (53 years old,) 😊 Maybe it was one of the first ( and longest) series from US-TV ,for me, but we had the german version/with the translation and the voices from German actors. 😃
OMG, the moment I heard Melissa Gilbert's voice I felt like a little girl again. How wild! This show holds such a special place in my heart. I'm now in the Midwest raising my own little kids and I think of this show often. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for this show!❤
I loved it as a little girl in the 70s. I’m now 54 and nobody makes shows like this anymore. It’s wholesome and u learn wisdom from that show. I still watch it and I love it.
I was born in 1974 and I'm 49 now! Going to be 50 in June! I grew up watching little house. I even have all the books! I've been watching the show on roku! I'm on the 5th season. :) I love little house!!

This show was not that wholesome. There were LOTS of very dark episodes, especially later in the series. I learned about RAPE by watching the two-part "Sylvia" arc when I was in the second grade. There was lots of death, drug addiction, kidnappings, plagues, violence! I think sometimes people forget how twisted the show could be, beyond just portraying the hardships of 19th century small town life. On the other hand, though, it sanitized the true story of the Ingalls family in many ways.
Absolutely loved this segment. Alison, Karen and Melissa look absolutely beautiful. I grew up in the 70's and my family watched Little House every week. When I went to college I continued watching. Truly a classic and timeless show.

Oh my gosh, I didn't realize this would make me cry so. Those were some good days back then. I really miss the simpler times , there wasn't as much hate as there is now. I'd love to just sit and watch these back to back from the beginning.
I remember they did a zoom reunion during the pandemic. Melissa lives kind of a bohemian life on a little farm, gathers eggs and the like and she was pretty much dressed like that then, too so I guess that's her comfort look.

Just the first chords of the show brings back so much nostalgia. I was in grade school in the 70’s and read the Little House books. I am re-reading them now, in my mid-50’s. Absolutely loved this show. ❤
Oh thank you very much for bringing us this reunion. I am so happy to see Ma. Ms. Grassle is so graceful. She is just as beautiful as she was back on the show. Melissa looks beautiful. Amy looks wonderful and sassy. Love them and love the show. I grew up watching it and love seeing reruns. My husband, 60, and I, 52, watched it together every day during the pandemic. We love the family values and humor. ❤
I've been a fan of Little House on the Prairie for over 40 years. 🤩 I'm currently re-watching the whole series for the umpteenth time. A true classic never gets old.
This video had me smiling all the way through. This was must watch tv in our home and it was wonderful to see those three women who meant and mean so much to me.❤
If you three girls are reading the comments, I grew up with you and I have watched it over and over with my children. I love all of you. You are wonderful actresses. Allison, you must've endured hardship for being the most hated girl but we loved you. It wouldn't have been the same without you. Ms. Grassle, your calm (most of the time) and sweet acting spirit was perfect. You are right, we watch because of the morals and values, something so many of us desire were still happening in today's society. And Melissa, you were just so cute and I loved watching you grow up. My kids always wanted to play Laura and dress like Laura. What a blessing that show has been! (we've been on a LHOTP binge for about a month now. I've seen them all so many times and someday will watch with my grands when my girls have kids)
Living through the Northern Ireland troubles...watching little house was a once a week oasis of calm and love..usually whilst hearing a bomb explode in Belfast 😢 thank you x
I grew up watching the Little House, my daughter later on fell in love with it and made me sew her a Laura nightgown and cap, now as 58 and 26 we still love the show. It takes us to an era where life was hard and simpel and where people was more aware of eachother and didn't live with their noses in a cellphone
One of my favorite shows ever. It's a shame such family shows that had values like this aren't around today. No one could tug at your heartstrings like Michael Landon with his writing these wholesome, heartwarming shows.
Maybe you also might like Anne of Green Gables with Megan Follows in it, Greatest story she plays outstanding, so does also Coleen Dewhurst , Richard Farnsworth and many others in there!!! Do not take the Netflix ones thy made recently because its worthless that one!! Warm greetings from The Netherlands!
I read the book series before the show started, so when this show came on, I was hooked from the first moment. The stories are forever embedded in my mind. I even named my daughter Laura, after the author Laura Ingalls-Wilder.
Wow, I feel young again. I remember watching reruns in the 90s when I was home from school. Sick days are how I learned about the classic shows. Summertime was the best!
I watch this show when I was very young and I still watch it every now and then and I'm 54 now. It was an awesome show. They don't make shows like this anymore. They should but they don't
I’m only 18 but I love this show. I recently found it again on a channel that plays it nonstop. I used to watch it at my grandmother’s house when I was younger. Now it’s pretty much all we have on these days. It’s great acting and an escape from life these days. I plan on showing my own kids someday this show.
@@zzizahacallar I'm not sure what you mean by that, but you can still watch all of the episodes in their entirety. Obviously we can't get the 70s and 80s back but you can still watch the show. 😉
The word “Love” definitely sums it up. After my mother became bed fast with Alzheimer’s disease I bought the complete LH dvd set and played them from start to finish for her on a monitor I had placed over her bed. As time went by mom lost her ability to form sentences and eventually even her words but she would make little noises and her face would light up when she saw the simplest of scenes like gathering eggs or cooking in that little house. Mom grew up in a very similar situation without electricity or running water here in the Appalachian mountains so it was touching those deepest memories. Though going through that situation was really tough watching this series again with mom gave me so many great memories.
Love this show, have the whole series and will always cherish them. It was beautiful and one of those shows you can never take your eyes off of. Wish they still made shows like this these days. I watch the series on Philo right now.
This show was on before I was born. I am a millenial but my mom and grandma had me watching re runs when i was a child and I've been hooked ever since! This is probably my favorite show of all time, My favorite thing to do on a Fri or Sat night is sit down with a cup of hot cocoa and watch this show. I own entire series on DVD now! They don't make shows like this much anymore which is too bad. We need shows like this that celebrate good values and human decency. There is so much garbage on today. I like to tune out from that and tune in to Little House ;)
It’s one of my favorite shows growing up. And now it’s a show I look for first when I turn the tv on! ❤️ Nothing made today can touch tv show created back then
What I love about little house on the prarie is there's a wonderful message behind every episode. This show has a special place in my heart. Harriet Oleson was my favorite character.
Aside from parents raising their kids to old shows such as Little House (such as I have) babies today growing up in these very frightening, very angry, and very vulgar days will never know what good ol’ innocent and clean comedy was like on television. I introduced my kids (now 25 & 27) to Little House since they were just tiny tots among others such as The Andy Griffith show, I Dream of Jennie, The Brady Bunch, etc… and now they have the fondest memories of their childhood watching television with their dad and me. Those were such lovely days.
I’m just crying with happiness 💚 I watched this wonderful program with my mother and many sisters. Just the music alone was enough to set me off . So many moments of magic . A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies for the memories .✨👏
I recently started watching the old episodes, and I forgot - it's a HILARIOUS show! I was laughing as much as I did when I was a kid. The writing, the cast, etc., are all spectacular, and it's surprisingly, just as much fun to watch as ever! Hooked all over again! Thanks to everyone who worked on the show, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. You gave us a real treasure.

I used to watch this wonderful tv show with my family in France in the 80s/90s at lunchtime. I remember looking forward to the end of the morning class, my mum would pick us up from school and we would all have lunch watching Little House on the Prairie- “La Petite Maison dans la Prairie” and then rush back to school for afternoon class.. oh the lovely memories - we would often discuss episodes with classmates ❤ We don’t see tv shows like this anymore.. Thank you Michael Landon and the cast 🙏🏼☺️
Grew up watching the show! There are also replica sets in Southern Missouri near Branson. Michael Landon is missed so much! Melissa Gilbert hasn’t changed a bit and sounds the same. So many people still love the show! I wonder how they felt going in the replica sets! That would bring up memories😊
Love this show and so glad the cast still get on together. If I switch on the tv now and it’s on I’m immediately drawn in and inevitably end up crying! 😭
Ive been digging Melissa Gilberts hippie prairie look over the last few years, she's like that cool artsy free spirit aunt who has a story or three to tell...

I love little house on the prairie I remember watching it on TV as a child. They don’t make shows like this anymore. I will always treasure little house on the prairie
These days, 82 is not ancient. My aunt (also 82) is still healthy and has all her faculties. She and my uncle (81) still go out in the RV (although, I will admit I worry about that a bit now), keep up a huge yard and garden, and have a good social circle to interact with.
When I was in TN for college (at an HBCU) in the late 80's, "Little House" would come on every afternoon, and about 5 or 6 of us would gather in my dorm room to watch it. For reasons I can't explain, I secretly put a blank cassette in my tape deck and recorded us for 90 minutes. The overall takeaway when listening to that tape is that my friends and I were completely NUTS, but it also captured us watching a "Little House" episode... and the commentary was just hysterical because we were SO invested. I'd only seen a few episodes here and there during the original run of the show, and nobody else was a habitual watcher either. That day it was episode 604, "The Third Miracle" (no, I didn't automatically remember that; I just looked it up 😊). Mary and Adam had to travel to Minneapolis so he could receive a teaching award and there's a stagecoach accident. We SHRIEKED in horror and dismay! When Mary's glasses appear, one of my friends (with all sincerity) said, "Why does she have glasses? She's blind. That ship has sailed, hasn't it?" Before the inevitable rescue happens after the fire Mary's glasses started, another friend summed things up by saying, "Well, I would just hope to never be blind and stranded in the desert with a stagecoach turned over on my husband" (with all of the "umph" to suggest that it was still possible in 1988 😆). Those are words I am SURE were never before uttered (and haven't been since - outside of the people who heard that tape) in all of human history lol. I still have that little time capsule from college; I just don't have anything to play it on anymore.
Wow, I turn 50 this year and never knew I was the same age as one of my favorite childhood TV shows! Funny enough, I started thinking about the show recently and how I'd never read the books and have just finished listening to the first audio book! Wish I could be there for the reunion... They sure don't make 'em like that anymore ❤

I am glad it helped you.
Wow, incredible to hear that 😭
No nothing exists yet 😂😂😂😂
@@ellevictory1339 Can you translate this into English? 😂
@@ellevictory1339What? What does this nonsensical gibberish have to do with the subject?
I grew up watching the Little House, my daughter later on fell in love with it and made me sew her a Laura nightgown and cap, now as 58 and 26 we still love the show. It takes us to an era where life was hard and simpel and where people was more aware of eachother and didn't live with their noses in a cellphone
Love Little House on the Prairie! Loved the whole cast, especially Michael Landon, even going back to his Bonanza days!❤
I remember Bonanza. My parents watched that show.
He was so handsome!! 😍
he SURE was!!!~~ handsome~~@@truethat774
Im 57 and found myself watching this every night last week. This is a great example of what tv could be once again.
All three of these ladies are so beautiful. I love this show so much. ❤
Oh yes, I saw that when it came out as a mini series, loved it. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman is also of a similar vein, another favorite of mine.@@gjamh
Love this show and the books..still watch it til this day..just watched all day yesterday on pluto tv
I read the book series before the show started, so when this show came on, I was hooked from the first moment. The stories are forever embedded in my mind. I even named my daughter Laura, after the author Laura Ingalls-Wilder.
Loved it back then, still love it today. They don't make them like that show anymore and it's a real shame.
Wow, I feel young again. I remember watching reruns in the 90s when I was home from school. Sick days are how I learned about the classic shows. Summertime was the best!
I still live little house on the prairie! I still watch it. ❤
I watch this show when I was very young and I still watch it every now and then and I'm 54 now. It was an awesome show. They don't make shows like this anymore. They should but they don't
I am 50 and I loved the books.I loves the show. I love all of this!!!
I’m only 18 but I love this show. I recently found it again on a channel that plays it nonstop. I used to watch it at my grandmother’s house when I was younger. Now it’s pretty much all we have on these days. It’s great acting and an escape from life these days. I plan on showing my own kids someday this show.
I miss the program greatly! I’m now almost 68 years old!!
It's streaming! 😊
@@jenniferhansen3622what platform is streaming it?!?
@@jenniferhansen3622 It's also on COZI TV.
@@jenniferhansen3622it's not the same.
I'm in the UK and grew up watching little house. Lovely warm memories 😊
I'm just a Canadian but I grew up with this show and I have it on DVD, when I'm having a hard time I watch them
This show was on before I was born.
Always one of my favorites. Watching it as we speak.
I loved Richard Bull, Michael Landon and Melissa. They were my favorites.
@@scooby2181 And didn't you just love it when the kids got the better of Mrs. Oleson! That was the best! 🤣🤣🤣
@@marthajean50 Yes, it was soo funny. She played that part good.
Yes I'm crying as well.
I'm the only lady I know everything
@@zzizahacallarcry baby can't take pay back
I've seen a lot of episodes, but I've never watched it from beginning to end. I've read the books countless times, learned so much from them.
Definitely my childhood❤
I grew up watching little house on the prairie.bringing back childhood memories.im 54 and still love watching it 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I recently started watching the old episodes, and I forgot - it's a HILARIOUS show!
I love watching little house on the prairie while growing up with my mom and siblings...I enjoyed the show so much that I still watch the show still today... I love Michael landon...he is absolutely awesome and a good father figure in the show, I also love Melissa gilbert, she's a great inspiration too me..I also loved Karen grassle....and everyone that took part in it, I can't believe it's 50th anniversary ❤ I enjoyed Alison angrim and Katherine MacGregor also...its one of the best TV shows, im your biggest fan always and forever ❤❤❤❤
I used to watch this wonderful tv show with my family in France in the 80s/90s at lunchtime.
I remember looking forward to the end of the morning class, my mum would pick us up from school and we would all have lunch watching Little House on the Prairie- “La Petite Maison dans la Prairie” and then rush back to school for afternoon class.. oh the lovely memories - we would often discuss episodes with classmates ❤
We don’t see tv shows like this anymore..
Thank you Michael Landon and the cast 🙏🏼☺️
Bought the series and we watch an episode with our 4 kids ranging from 7 to 12 everynight. They love it.
One of the best shows ever made, That was the golden era of TV along with Dallas
Even now the uplifting 'GOLDEN' messages of The Waltons & Little House are still my favorite reruns.. the conniving Dallas memories not so much.
“Dallas”? That was not wholesome. That was like a soap opera.
@@bpxl53yewz29 still made for good tv
I’m in my late 20s and my mom raised me on this, I still watch it today. My comfort show. ❤
My all time favorite show! I've been watching the show since I probably 3 or 5 ,in 1975 , and now have the whole series on Blu ray! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Watched it on Monday nights. Great memories!
Little House on the Prairie is so wholesome. I love it. ❤
Love the show. Especially Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon. ❤
Our family watched every Monday night. I am 60, same age as Melissa Gilbert, so it’s like we grew up together. I still love it.
My girls are 4 and 7 and almost watch this show daily. Such a good wholesome family show. ❤️
Love this show and so glad the cast still get on together. If I switch on the tv now and it’s on I’m immediately drawn in and inevitably end up crying! 😭
That was one of two shows I loved. The other was The Walton’s.
The Waltons❤️John Boy😍

Yeah , lm 6o years now anx l used to watch them regulary .❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 l loved the stars in them.
Also "Happy Days"!
I love both shows💕💕
I read all the Laura Ingalls books when I was in the 4th grade.. loved the show. It plays on TV during the daytime now!
Same here , I really enjoyed reading the books .....
Ive been digging Melissa Gilberts hippie prairie look over the last few years, she's like that cool artsy free spirit aunt who has a story or three to tell...
They had a wonderful story to build wonderful drama upon...and they did a great job. Miss programs like this.
Love Little House! My sister and I would watch it EVERY night. GREAT Memories❤❤ FYI, I named one of my son Isaiah after Mr. Edward's ( Isaiah Edward )
Wow🙂Say hello to Isaiah for me, tell him someone from East Africa of those "Little House on the Prairie" times, says hello🙂Love the way the 50th anniversary of "Little House on the Prairie" is bringing people together, people from different parts of the world. There are comments above from people from America, Germany, Indonesia, Spain, England, and from yours truly, from Kenya, in East Africa🙂Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 23rd March 2024.
I love little house on the prairie I remember watching it on TV as a child. They don’t make shows like this anymore. I will always treasure little house on the prairie
Karen is 82! It's awesome that she is still healthy enough to do these events. 😊
And she looks great!! That smile!
These days, 82 is not ancient. My aunt (also 82) is still healthy and has all her faculties. She and my uncle (81) still go out in the RV (although, I will admit I worry about that a bit now), keep up a huge yard and garden, and have a good social circle to interact with.
She is still so beautiful too!
Hardly "Stars".
@@kev7161right….my 90 year old mom runs circles around us❤❤😂
When I was in TN for college (at an HBCU) in the late 80's, "Little House" would come on every afternoon, and about 5 or 6 of us would gather in my dorm room to watch it.
This show is iconic and timeless ❤❤
Still watch everyday ❤️❤️❤️
Loved little house on the prairie. They all look amazing.
