Finally, a good video for beginners! I know nothing about MPC beats and the MPK Mini but now finally, i feel im starting to understand it thanks to this video. Can you please create a playlist (and more tutorials) containing all of the "very basic tutorials" that ones need to learn in order to start with this software? The way you explain the info makes it really easy to understand them so I hope to see more of these videos from this channel because i really dont wanna be frustrated and sell this MPK mini keybooard 😂😅

I've seen plenty of so-called "tutorials" for MPC Beats come by, but none of them actually do what you do ... starting from absolute scratch. Finally I'm able to see how to get started. This is such a huge step up from the last program I've used (Dig-It for Atari back in the 90's ... don't laugh!), so the number of options and little buttons got very confusing. Now I know where and how to start, so now I can really start playing around with it and soon I'll be recording. Thanks!! 👍👍

Hi! Thank you for your tutorial. I have a situation. I have an akai mpd226. When I set it up with mpc beats and press pad 4 the bank changes to "D" Bank. I then have to manually change it to bank A and if I press pad 4 it goes back to bank D. And bank D has no sounds. Please help me solve it.

Hey Gabor! So if you don't have the MPC button we're I showed on the Mac, you must be using a PC. If you look to the top left of your screen, when you are in a project, you will see an icon with three lines. Click on that and a browsing menu will pop up. Go to edit>preferences and you should be able to follow the rest of the steps from there. I am dropping another video very soon on toolbars/menus. I will still be doing them on Mac. But we will also be doing PC versions. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions if you have them! 😁✌️
Hey @DewitStorytimes. So MPC beats had changed where they put there preference setting. Are you using a Mac? If you are, take the mouse to the very top of your screen, your program tool bar should pop down. when it does, go to the first icon that is labeled "MPC Beats" and click on it. once the menu pops down. Go to "'settings" and this should open your preferences menu. Hope this helps. If You are still having trouble just email us @teamuncostudios@gmail.com 😃✌
I have 1 issue , at the plugin section with presets i dont have default in the list , it says rich swell. I uninstalled mpc and redownload and reinstalled it but still no default

Hey Brian. So in this video i have my JBLs hooked in to the stereo outputs of my interface. Then i have my mac use the interface as its main in/outputs. You also have to make sure that your MPC Beats Preferences are set to your interface in/outputs. Hope this answers your question.

Absolutely! It is all patterns Hercules. If you are good with patterns you can definitely draw out beats manually. If you know keyboard chords and at least a little sense of musical theory you could be able to do chords and sounds and all of that just by using your mouse and your mouse pad.
I believe on one of my videos I make I am doing it manually and not using any external equipment at all. I want to say it was either the metronome video or the exploding tracks videos where I mentioned that I am not using an external device.

Nice - good friendly style - well done - organized - helpful If you want to go to the next level, quit saying things like "like everything" or "you know" or "all of that stuff" or "all that." It is distracting and can be confusing. Rewatch this video and focus on what you need to do to be more precise in what you say. You probably say twice as many words as necessary - the rest is unnecessary and distracting from your message. Also quit talking about what you are not covering. It leaves the viewer wondering about those things instead of what you are talking about. Also, use a larger arrow cursor. And instead of using your plug in controller, use the pads on the screen. All of this will make for a better video with higher production values.
This was a huge help for someone like me who is just getting started with MIDI Controllers and MPC Beats. Thanks for the awesome beginners guide.

If you want to go to the next level, quit saying things like "like everything" or "you know" or "all of that stuff" or "all that." It is distracting and can be confusing. Rewatch this video and focus on what you need to do to be more precise in what you say. You probably say twice as many words as necessary - the rest is unnecessary and distracting from your message. Also quit talking about what you are not covering. It leaves the viewer wondering about those things instead of what you are talking about.
Also, use a larger arrow cursor. And instead of using your plug in controller, use the pads on the screen. All of this will make for a better video with higher production values.
