- In today's video, I use one of my favorite all-natural DIY hair mask ingredients-- Aloe vera. I don't do overnight treatments often but my hair definitely needed it. Do you like using aloe vera on your hair?

I loooove aloe vera too! I do the blender method. If you strain the liquid after blending, it won’t leave flakes/chunks in your hair.
It's making you itch because of the latex in the leaf skin. After you cut up your aloe into chunks and trim off the prickly sides, you have to soak those chunks in a bowl of water for at least an hour or more before using it, to remove the latex that secretes from the skin after you cut it. After I soak mine, I rinse the chunks again before scraping out the gel with a spoon. You can then blend it in a blender and strain it through a kneehigh stocking to seperate the juice from the fibers. Can't be lazy with aloe unless you want to itch.

If you blend it you have to strain it through cheese cloth/or like t shirt cloth to make sure the aloe pieces don't get in your hair. Thats how you avoid the flakes. I also read that if you don't drain the yellow oil like substances out of the leaf/soak in water before you use it, it can be irritating to the skin. 😂
Aloe vera can cause irritation and itchiness if not soaked for 24hrs to release the latex(the brown stuff). So I suggest you cut it up into smaller pieces and soak it for 24hrs the next time you use it. Great video though ♥️

Cut the aloe in bigger chunks than you have, then take a comb and kind of scrape back and forth, extract the gel in a bowl or jar

When you use the blender then you strain it. The reason it itches is due to the yellow liquid called aloe latex. So you have to ensure you drain the liquid completely first before using it. So actually wash the plant 3x to remove the liquid.

@@2studiosinc62 extract the gel from the aloe leaf then blend it with some water then strain in to get out the pulp. Shameless plug I have a video on my channel with how I get gel out of the leaf
I like to let it soak for at least 30 mins first because sometimes the yellow will still be on it after washing it.

When u blend it u have to strain it in wig cap or cheese cloth so u wouldn't get the flakes

I do aloe with coconut oil...olive doesn't agree with my hair. I also use the blender method but I strain the juice about two times and absolutely no flakes. Appreciate the video👍

it was nice and moisturized with the aloe and oil, after you rinsed it out it looked frizzy...you should leave it in and just styled and go...that aside you got beautiful healthy hair

You can take the aloe vera slices and infuse together over medium heat for 20 to 30 mins. Pour mixture with the aloe slices, in a unlid jar until cool. Place lid on jar and sit in the fridge, pour some in a spray bottle to use. You can add oil to your spray bottle. Spay water to hair when it feels dry. Do not wash out. When doing hot oil treatment, wash and spray your aloe water then saturate hair with oil. Cover with plastic cap or bag. Sleep over night or under a heating cap.
To make it stop making u itchy if you cut it and sit it up in a bowl the brown stuff will drip out that’s what makes it itchy so I heard

This is beautiful. I love this. Do you comb out the hair after rinsing out the aloe vera and it remains like that or you just leave it like that after it dries? You need to strain the aloe vera if you are blending it.

I tried this and it was AMAZING!. I use already a mixture of olive oil and egg in my hair and that's makes my hair grow so fast overnight. So after I do that and let it sit for 30mins then I rinse it then I also put this mixture in my hair and ive gotten about 1.5inches of new growth overnight so this surely works

Thank you for sharing this video! New subby!!! Also I heard if you soak the cut up leaf in water for about 20 min, this gets rid of the itchy feeling. I heard its somthing called latex, i think. I had the same issue using the plant once, but after i did this, i had no more problems...Hope this helps!!!
