By poison I think she meant for the part that causes itchiness and rashes etc. She used the wrong word yes. But the video is still helpful for those who are sensitive to the yellow part of the aloe vera plant.
I'm from New Mexico, aloe vera is everywhere in the desert just take a bucket with you, a good knife, and a heavy duty pair of gloves. Then you and a friend can go on a walk through the desert and chop aloe vera. Just watch out for rattlesnakes.
The yellow stuff is not poison. Plz don't call it that. I know its itchy but i drink it and it cleans my gut and kills parasite without causing pain. Its just very bitter. And i do apply on my face without removing the yellow stuff. Its a bit itchy
The "yellowish" substance is latex, which I'm extremely allergic to. So when using the Aloe Vera leaves, I simply just cut below the whitish-yellow part and use the rest.
Suggestion: @ 5:45 When putting the aloe vera gel in the application bottle.... try using a large funnel tube to drain it in the bottle. Hopefully, it might help with the process for next time... Also, I'm wondering 🤔🤔 maybe to use a spoon to swirl it around in the funnel tube (might be quicker to drain in the application bottle) Thank you for the video.... 💜 Information was very knowledgeable.
I have seen a lot of comments coming at her for saying the aloe leaf has "poison". Some people are allergic to it and that may be why they think it is better to remove it, based on their own first hand experience with it. Almost every video containing aloe on YT has said the exact same thing about the "yellow stuff". To let it soak/sit in a bowl or cup of water. But, I agree that it is misleading. There are just more direct ways to let her know.

I guess google is misleading too I just check out what she say and type- is aloe Vera latex poisonous (maybe you can type is aloe Vera latex poisonous and see what you find but this what I find =Aloe latex or whole-leaf extract taken orally might be unsafe and is likely unsafe in high doses. OMGosh, your daughters are precious and gorgeous!!! I love that you’re showing them how to take care of their hair and skin from the get go!!! My Nana was like that with me and I’m sooo glad. I look far younger than I am but most of all, I have such healthy hair and skin!
I cut the bottom of the aloe vera leaf and let the leaf stand straight, and most of the yellow just leaks out in a couple of hours. Sometimes I even leave it standing outside overnight and cut a small piece of the bottom again in the morning just to make sure that there is no more yellow coming out. I also do this, because it helps decrease the strong smell that comes from cutting the aloe leaf that would otherwise linger in the entire house. Like some people said in the comments, I also learned that the yellow liquid is a laxative.
It don't have to be hours. When I cut the bottom, I let it sit under slow running water for a few seconds; just to make the aloe "nectar" flow away with the water. Then I just leave it in the kitchen sink for maybe about 20-30 mins to bleed out some more. And just wash off whatever is left when I return. Cut and use like normal. It doesn't smell or itch. It only takes a few minutes for it to bleed out...💁🏽
I do the same when I make aloe vera juice also soak the pieces in water My skin is sensitive to aloe so sadly even after those steps I can't use it on my face.
Hello am a new subscriber here .please how long have you been using aloe Vera and which other products do you use on your kids hair ...thanks this video was helpful
That's what we've always done especially to freshly picked aloes... Let it drain. Wash the leaf. Cutting it then washing it is like wasting the product... You're washing the goodness out!! 😂 😂 Good video though and your daughters are so cute with that lovely hair. 🤗🤗 . And BTW, whether removed (aloin) or not some people are justamente just actually allergic to aloes.
You didn't need to cut them in pieces and then scrape each piece... you're creating more work than you need to. Just make clean cuts on the top & bottom of an entire leaf, then cut off the spines on the sides. Rinse all the leaves, let drain. Repeat. There will be no yellow stuff. Then, cut the leaves in half, and basically cut the flesh out, like you're filleting a fish.
So what your saying the yellow substance that call the aloe latex is ok to use too 😒from experience it burn my skin and let my skin itchy until I start to Soak it in water to get the aloe latex out thats the yellow substance am now using it without a problem no itching or burn idk maybe some people skin is different but she’s helping others who don’t know that it can burn there skin or there child skin
@@shantae717 Shantae as someone who have grown up using lots of aloe on my skin in milkshake etc. I can tell you that soaking aloe is a waste of time. Reason being the bitter yellow slime on the outer body of the clear aloe chunk can be easily removed without soaking. All you have to do it cut of all the green skin. Once you do that you will see the yellow slime over the clear body of the aloe. It is not inside of the clear chunk. You simply wash it of under the tap dear. What will remain is just the clear chunky aloe. After you just blend the aloe. The mistake with the vid is that the women left the green skin on and proceeded to scrape the aloe into a bowl. So she was scraping both the yellow slime and the clear aloe chunck into a bowl. She mixed them up them spend extra time trying to seperate it by soaking it.🤔. This can all be avoided by taking off all the green skin first and washing the aloe. Hope this help.
I know as long as you don't cut up the skin too much you will avoid the yellow sap. Just cut the end and sides then wipe it like she did in the video and or rinse off the yellow stain. Once that is done you would scrape out the pulp/gel with a spoon and that avoids the yellow sap. The you can proceed to blend or mash. Blend it is better for me because it makes it smoother and will be easier to pour. You can use a funnel.
@@anyaabrahams773 Anya no disrespect. But sorry the yellow slime in not only on the edges of the aloe. It is beneath the entire green skin of the aloe. Once you leave on the green skin and decide to scrape the alone into a bowl with the geen skin on you are putting both the clear alone and the yellow slime(latex) into the bowl. Now you have mixed them up. As the woman in the vid did. She then proceeded to soak the aloe to remove the yellow slime. Which is just time wasting. All that could have been avoided if she had simply cut off all the green outer layer and wash the aloe after. Problem solved in seconds to minutes. Not all that time as in the video with soaking and straining.🤔

Good afternoon, I have 3 questions please. 1. How long do you leave the Aloe Vera in the hair? 2. Do you wash it out and 3. You said you don't keep it in the fridge, so how long does it last once you make a "batch"?
I saw someone scrape instead of scoop the aloe vera and it works great in eliminating the big chunks also I used a flexible rectangle plastic bowl to pour the aloe and it was not messy at all.
I bought an aloe vera leaf last week from the farmer's market and the minute I cut into it.. the most overpowering onion aroma escaped.. even after rinsing, I couldn't get rid of that smell. So a couple days ago I purchased another and soaked it in water all night after cutting it in smaller pieces. I changed the water twice so it wouldn't be soaking in the yellow discharge all night but that onion smell is undefeated.. smh. That onion smell won't let me be great.. so I had to settle for packaged aloe vera gel instead of the real deal 😫
Hi I have a few questions.. 1. How long do you soak to remove poison 2. How long do you leave aloe on hair before rinsing it out? 3. Do you style after rinsing out aloe or do you deep condition?
It don't have to be hours. When I cut the bottom, I let it sit under slow running water for a few seconds; just to make the aloe "nectar" flow away with the water. Then I just leave it in the kitchen sink for maybe about 20-30 mins to bleed out some more. And just wash off whatever is left when I return. (Just improvise with the time...if you observe it's still oozing a bit, just rinse it off a little and let it sit in the sink a little longer . It's nothing too difficult) Cut and use like normal. It doesn't smell or itch. It only takes a few minutes for it to bleed out...💁🏽 You don't have to rinse out the aloe after applying in your hair. You can leave it in. Your decision. Or, mix it with glycerin, oils, shea butter to make your own leave-in moisturizer. 🌸🌸Just BE CREATIVE hun🌸🌸 And have fun☺
The yellow part is not poisonous it must be the other types of aloe that are poisonous. I cut it peel it and swallow pieces from my younger years and still doing it the yellow part is just extremely bitter
I love this nuttn nuh waste. To preserve, I usually freeze it in plastic drink bottles or I use cheap dollar tree small plastic containers with lids. I freeze irish moss in these containers as well. You get like 8-10 for 1.50. The aloe vera gel they sell in the store stays gelly because they add sea moss to it.
I've been using this for me and my daughter hair with water and aloe to spray hair and refresh it. Our hair loves it❤ Thanks for your process, I will try it.

By poison I think she meant for the part that causes itchiness and rashes etc. She used the wrong word yes. But the video is still helpful for those who are sensitive to the yellow part of the aloe vera plant.
Exactly!

The yellow stuff is not poison. Plz don't call it that. I know its itchy but i drink it and it cleans my gut and kills parasite without causing pain. Its just very bitter. And i do apply on my face without removing the yellow stuff. Its a bit itchy

Remove what poison?
In Jamaica, we wash and cut up the aloe plant as is - soak it in water and drink it.
We also do this in st Lucia. Big up big up to all Jamaicans❤️🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲
Maybe u soak it in water for the reason she said in the video..
No poison...caz we been so old and have not been affected by taking the aloe
Yea only caribbean people know this💪💪
You drink it straight up or add fruit?
The "yellowish" substance is latex, which I'm extremely allergic to. So when using the Aloe Vera leaves, I simply just cut below the whitish-yellow part and use the rest.
Do you wash it out with shampoo and conditioner or just leave it in the hair?
How would you know if “poison” is not mixed in with the gel?
Suggestion:
@ 5:45
When putting the aloe vera gel in the application bottle.... try using a large funnel tube to drain it in the bottle.
Hopefully, it might help with the process for next time...
Also, I'm wondering 🤔🤔 maybe to use a spoon to swirl it around in the funnel tube (might be quicker to drain in the application bottle)
Thank you for the video.... 💜

Ppl r allergic to lots of things even animals, with due respect, no dissing, she could use other terms, she's coloured not white, black ppl need stop acting like those whites, we r suppose to know these things, we grew up in it, our ancestors grew up in it, we can learn about them, this is our culture, some ppl need to stop Americanizing, and be down to Earth, be local, we r killing of the African in us when we does that, our heritage, we r dealing with natural stuff here, herbs, our culture, am NOT discrimination, NOT disrespect, NO anger, just saying it like it is, a blessed, blessed day to u 🙏🕊.
Taking 1 gram a day of aloe latex for several days can cause acute kidney failure and can be fatal. Aloe latex might also have the potential to cause cancer. Other side effects include abdominal cramps and diarrhea.

Bonjour la famille 👍🤩🤩🤩👍💋
OMGosh, your daughters are precious and gorgeous!!! I love that you’re showing them how to take care of their hair and skin from the get go!!! My Nana was like that with me and I’m sooo glad. I look far younger than I am but most of all, I have such healthy hair and skin!
yeah
It only takes a few minutes for it to bleed out...💁🏽
I do the same when I make aloe vera juice also soak the pieces in water
My skin is sensitive to aloe so sadly even after those steps I can't use it on my face.
Good video though and your daughters are so cute with that lovely hair. 🤗🤗
. And BTW, whether removed (aloin) or not some people are justamente just actually allergic to aloes.
Washing it is the worst thing you could after you cut it open. Contaminants in the water too
You didn't need to cut them in pieces and then scrape each piece... you're creating more work than you need to. Just make clean cuts on the top & bottom of an entire leaf, then cut off the spines on the sides. Rinse all the leaves, let drain. Repeat. There will be no yellow stuff. Then, cut the leaves in half, and basically cut the flesh out, like you're filleting a fish.
This is not poison but if u want to wash it off you can
So what your saying the yellow substance that call the aloe latex is ok to use too 😒from experience it burn my skin and let my skin itchy until I start to Soak it in water to get the aloe latex out thats the yellow substance am now using it without a problem no itching or burn idk maybe some people skin is different but she’s helping others who don’t know that it can burn there skin or there child skin

They smell like onion?!!! 😯

Hi I have a few questions..
1. How long do you soak to remove poison
Cut and use like normal. It doesn't smell or itch. It only takes a few minutes for it to bleed out...💁🏽
You don't have to rinse out the aloe after applying in your hair. You can leave it in. Your decision. Or, mix it with glycerin, oils, shea butter to make your own leave-in moisturizer. 🌸🌸Just BE CREATIVE hun🌸🌸 And have fun☺
