    I wanted a treadmill. I bought a Sunny Mini-Stepper instead. Did I make the wrong move?

    All mini steppers are the same, i had two already, the first one broke because i was using it for more than 30 min. But if you use it for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes on the evening, and grease the cilinders for maintenance, the result will be the same for you and it will last longer. For me it works and it's more fun than a treadmill or a bike 😅

    People... this equipment is great, I love it! That guy doesn't even step on it right. In fact, He's moving slowly... that not stepping! He wants something to replace his 10,000 steps! Clearly, this small equipment does not offer that, and it was never intended! That's his need.. Not everyone else's! I watch my fav tv show, a movie, or move to my music and do diffetent arm exercises while stepping. You can make it fun and get a good cardiovascular workout with the mini stepper! What a difference this little stepper has made for them. and we still use it for daily moderate exercise routine also.

    I use a non-electric version, super bare bones, exact same concept; and it only needs a little WD-40 to keep silent. I can go a good 30-45 minutes watching a netflix episode with one; then proceed to 10-15 minute intervals afterwards usually getting around 1,000-1,500 steps per 15 minutes.
    I find this works the thighs a lot more than you would feel in your calfs after an actual walk outside across cement. However in terms of low intensity to burn cardio. It does the job. I get off shortly after I start getting an actual shake in the legs as I extend to the bottom for that leg.

    Thanks for your honest and fair review! I have been considering this as a replacement for (ridiculously) late-night walks, which are a huge safety risk. I'm a nursing student and am very active on my own time (gym, hike, etc.) and I squeeze in everything I can think of, even while at school, but sometimes I'm just stuck doing homework or whatever and find myself unable to get out until late. I was thinking maybe this would be a good alternative to finish up my steps/activity for the day, but your review has helped me realize it wouldn't be such a great fit for me. Like you said, for some people it may be a perfect supplement or kick-start, but I'm like you-- I wanna get a LOT of steps! It would be maddening to be limited to 15 minutes. Anyway, thanks again for the awesome review! I smashed that subscribe and like button, because you definitely earned it and I want to see more content from you! Take care :)

      Viva España! Thanks for watching way over there. On my mini stepper I noticed the pistons/cylinders got a bit squeaky but you can "lube" them so they are quieter. It started happening after using it for about two weeks. In my opinion, I think you can get away with using the mini stepper for 20 or 25 minute intervals, then letting the the cylinders cool for about an hour before using it again. However, I must warn you, I could be wrong. If you have the money to test it out, give it a try. Good luck!

Then i oiled it & didnt use it for quite long time then now it's fine & smooth and i just used it for 30 mins this evening and now my legs are rlly sore. I mean, it's cheap and it works if we keep oiling it. I would still use it >30 mins if i want to, if it breaks i can buy it again bcs it's still cheaper than my monthly gym membership, and i dont like running outside (too hot, humid, & too much pollution in my area)

    I just got my second treadmill. If you're thinking of getting one, stick with a little stair stepper like this one. It's not quite as good for working at a computer, but it's fine, like this guy^ says. It's also less fine-tunable to get specific heart rates, but the portability, price, and convenience (read: low-maintenance and effort to start working out on it: instant vs a few seconds) is way better. Ugh! I'm trying to adjust and oil my new mini treadmill and it's so difficult to get right. I love my stair-stepper in spite of its shortcomings. For the price of one treadmill, you could get four or more stair-steppers and stage them all over the house to get some cardio in while doing whatever. I use little thrift store dumb bells or weighted gloves with it.

I used the gym stair stepper to lose 50 lbs 8 years ago and I loved it and I thought this would give me the same effect since I work from home but I realize doing a intense 30 minutes Zumba workout I'd lose 350 calories compared to 30minutes on the stair stepper its 191 calories. Lastly I had no idea about the 15 minute timeframe so I was using this an hour everyday and after two weeks I got plantar fasciitis for the first time in my life so after that I am really done!! Its a bummer because the reason why I love it so much is because it targets your legs better than any other workout. I may try the treadmill.

    Where do they suggest you should use it sitting down at your desk? And with the tension on is it an apple too apple comparison to walking for the purpose of counting steps? I can do 2 miles walk /Jog in 30minutes. 30 minutes of this (I missed the instructions time limit) is notably harder. Doesn't seem a fair review if you're not using it how it is supposed to be. And using an unfair comparison. But I would prefer an actual pressure adjustment to the Step height adjustment.

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  9 месяцев назад +1

      I feel like I was using it how it's supposed to be used. It's got a time limit of 15 minutes, which I didn't expect, and that was a bummer. I bought it to help me get to 10K steps, but it seems that in order to do that I would have had to use the stepper in 15 minute increments throughout the day. I feel that should have been called out in the product's advertising. Thus, it was a "no go" for me.

    Can you simulate backward walking on these? I can't walk backward at the gym. It feels too awkward and there is always the chance that somebody is going to record me and I would end up in a gym fail video. I don't want to buy a treadmill because it's too bulky. My experience is quite positive... My wife is a former Miss Universe and I have coached three top 10 and so forth. You can get incredible workouts on a cheap Mini Stepper. Don't overthink it, and don't think you're going to build a ton of muscle with it. A significant calorie burner if you keep an upbeat pace. Keep some dumbbells next to it and learn to do a full body workout with dumbbells and you are all set. For just a cardio workout, hit the stepper hard 45 minutes, jump off, jog in place with high knees for 30 seconds, do 30 jumping jacks, get back on the stepper. Do that for 40 minutes a day and Watch What Happens. Of course if you are overeating you'll still be fat so don't think you can out exercise a bad diet. Anyway, even the most simple and cheap of finished products will work in most cases so don't get caught up in the idea of fancy equipment are fancy gyms although I love both of those as well!
