I’ve been trying to turn on the oven at our rental for a bit. Thanks! You just saved dinner. 🎉

A helpful tip for the small pot issue. I went to my local metal fabrication shop and got a piece of stainless steel expanded metal. They cut it to the size of my grate for one burner. To use small pots, simple set the expanded metal on the grate and it fully supports the smaler pots.

For the chip, I usually go to the local crafts store and find the model toy paints. These are usually a fairly close match to the appliance color.

We have a Unique gas stove and a refrigerator. We live in the Rocky Mountains so high altitude, and we have had trouble off and on keeping the oven lit. It will light right away, but the pilot will go out after awhile. Other than that love the stove. You can buy appliance paint in a little bottle, probably 2 ounces. They have it at hardware store, and if your stove is white, you can just touch that spot up. I have even used it on my old sink.

That’s very nice. We have the old one like you brought up to your place in the U.P. where we have to light with a match. I like this one you showed us. Thanks for sharing it

The chip in the stove gives it a little character. Thanks for the review.

I really like the stove. It' looks very well made. Love your channel. I need to catch up because I've just noticed you have a few videos I haven't watched yet. Spring is just around the corner, so I'm looking forward to whatever you guys have planned. God bless

We are building a new, on grid house but im still putting these stoves pretty high on the consideration list for a couple of reasons. One, we can still cook during power outages. They are rare, but we've had a few that were over a week long in the last ten years with major storms. The other thing, and the more important one, is that theses stove have minimal electronics in them. It seems most appliances lately fail due to control circuit failures. For something as critical in life as being able to prepare food, I really want simple, robust designs that just work and are easily field repairable if the need ever arises.

I don't blame you for wanting a full stove. It's far more superior compared to the smaller gas stoves. We've seen the smaller scaled stoves and they're tiny. You might not be able to get the dent out, but you can purchase ceramic product (strictly for appliances) to blend and cover that chip. Unless, you want to purchase certain hammers (used in the automotive market) to bang out the dent. They're generally have a plastic end, so you won't mare whatever you're working on. ❤ your house! Take care & God Bless.

I love the stove I have been looking for something like that for our off grid cabin. I did notice they have a plate to put on the burner for smaller pots that would solve the tipping issue.

My new gas stove works without elevtricity purchased on AliExpress direct from China there is a electric, 9 volt battery or light with a match switch. I ordwred it in Novermber 22 and it arrived in Aug 23. You can fix that with appliance emamel paint.

One of these days when I finally replace my ailing stove, I'm getting one of these or a Premier. Do you have any advise on washing machines/dryers? I really want a simplified, rugged machine without electronics inside.

We don’t have a washing machine or dryer so I have no recommendations for those. We hope to in the future but haven’t decided on one yet. Thanks for watching. 😊

If you go to an appliance store there is a porcelain paint touch-up kits you can buy it's really kind of simple it's like a bottle it looks like nail polish it works like a dream you might be able to find it at a bath store that has bathtubs and fixtures and stuff they would have those kits too.. I know I bought one at ABC Warehouse a few years ago I actually have a full size stove oven it's a magic chef from maybe the 70s or 80s and it's just pilot lights I love it she's a beast she's ugly because she's almond colored but she works and that's all I care about because we live off grid here in Michigan too full-time
