this video saved my golf game, cannot stress enough how game changing the “throwing the club” is. i’ve always seen people say hit down on the ball, watched countless videos on compressing the ball. first time i started visualizing throwing the club i started hitting pure iron shots more often than miss hits. thank you for this
Like everything Danny does, its a simple explanation, not filling the head with tens of issues you must address before and during the swing. For me, Danny is the only teaching pro I watch, because of the simple terms he uses and to maxamise effect, he concentrates on just 2 or 3 issues at one time. Keep up the great work Danny.
Danny, you have been kind enough to respond to two of my inquiries, and I want to return your kindness. I realized (as a 70 y/o beginner) that I wasn’t swinging correctly because I couldn’t balance myself on my left (lead) leg. So I spent over two months every day just standing on that leg. Then -gradually- I would turn my hips. Then after the two months, I practiced leaning with my hip to the left and shoulders otherwise- all standing on my lead leg. It’s not a quick fix, but now I’m comfortable making the necessary weight shift. I have “lag”, and my 7 iron has gone from 125 yds to 155 or more. I finish upright and facing well towards the flag. I’m hoping you can improve this self-made drill, because my problem all along turned out to be balancing on my lead side as a beginner. God bless you. Your videos helped get me started at a time in life when I hear most golfers ate hanging it up. I’m
There are umpteen golf channels on YT, many of them obsessing over clubs and gizmos. This is a breath of fresh air. Clear, to the point and logical. Most players would benefit from this drill, not just the beginners.
I’ve been struggling with the golf swing for years but this video is what changed everything for me. The idea of throwing the clubhead at the ball is what did it. I immediately started hitting solid shots. Now it’s just a matter of accuracy and consistency. I’m working on that. Thanks Dan
I've always struggled with my irons. Until today. I followed Danny's advice and I was quite happy that I wasn't chunking the ball today. I was hitting it right about 80% of the time. Just like you said, work on accuracy and consistency to really enjoy this wonderful game. Thanks Danny.
This video changed my golf game... Thank you. I just broke 80 for the first time. I have been golfing for over 10 years and now I am finally playing stress free golf. You the man! I truly appreciate this.
Best drill ever. Been using it for over 30 years. Just yesterday !! Hadn't hit a ball for 12 months..went to the range First 10 went along the ground.Stood back and did this drill for a few minutes........... then able to work on the consistancy...........muscle memory is the key.
Greetings from NZ. What an awesome lesson and so simple. Watched it when I got into work at 7:45 am and then went and practiced at my local park at lunchtime and immediately started hitting the ball straighter and further. This is a real game changer for me after battling with spraying my shots left and right. I think I may even get those dots tattooed onto my torso! Thanks so much Danny
Danny-I watched this when U put it out but didn’t have the chance to play until today. I’ve struggled this year with thinning my irons. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Not touched a club in over a month and had one of the best ball-striking rounds of the season! Since I was playing, I just imagined a tee in front of ball to help me hit and stay down on irons. I flushed multiple shots which not done in a long time. THANK YOU again and keep putting out the great content! Brian
I don't normally write but after today's practice round I was left amazed and gob smacked walking away with +3 after 9 hole and I play off 20! I've never really had trouble with my balance I've always felt that to be good. However, I was also of the same mind that the club went forward, until I discovered this and realised about keeping the butt close to the body as well as discovering throwing the club and 'casting'. I also took your advice from "How to Nail your backswing Takeaway" video and all together today I hit some of the best shots and approaches I have ever hit. From chipping to pitching and even out of sand this all worked and applied. Thank you so much, your a great teacher.
Easily one of the best instructional videos I've seen. Just took this drill to the range and I'm pretty excited at the immediate impact on my swing. I will be checking out your other videos because I like how clearly you were able to describe this drill and what you should be feeling in the swing. Thank you
Danny, great job! I used to golf at least once a week, and practice almost everyday. I was an honest 9-10 handicap. I had arthritis in both hips and my swing changed as both hips got worse. My swing got to the point of being a "rocker" because I lost movement in my hips. I would rock rearward on the back swing, and then forward on the front swing to obtain weight transfer. Well... It got to the point I could no longer play golf. However, I had both hips replaced 1.5 years ago and someone invited me golfing. I found my swing was still a rocking swing. My new hips worked so well...NOTHING in my golf swing felt right, nothing. After trying your drill (5 times) I can clearing see EXACTLY what I have not been doing, and it is the move (uncoiling) that I need to focus my new swing on. This is the most difficult move for anyone one learning golf to master, however, with this drill...it completely makes sense. Thank you for sharing.
Sir, thank you for this video. I watched this morning and it was eye-opening. I went out and shot a 77 with 6 bunker shots. I can’t tell you how much this helped. I was totally confused about how to swing the club, until I saw this video and I’ve taken lessons from different people, so this really was useful - thank you, thank you, thank you!
Another gem of a lesson, Danny. I took 20 lessons at GolfTec where they showed me that I was falling back in my downswing, but never did they tell me how to get out of it! Tried this drill one time and my ball striking was already improving - more powerful and simpler swing!
This is the 3rd Video I have watched Danny...each one has ACTUALLY fixed my issues (Bunkers/Chip shots/Ball then turf) thanks so much...uncomplicated teaching
Danny I came across this video quite accidentally late last night and it was so timely as i have been striking my irons/woods very erratically resulting in poor scores. Anyway, i played a round at my club this morning....armed with the information you shared....and scored a staggering 41 points. Thank you for your brilliant tutorial that was so succinct. I will be adopting this technique permanently. There are so many videos available and most of them are quite forgettable as the information fails to strike a chord. Yours did.
I have been struggling with my irons for the last year or so -- always hitting it heavy and behind the ball. This tip from Danny is amazing and spot on. I have been doing this drill for less that a week and it has changed my iron play -- I almost had my second hole in one of the season last week. Once you get use to the feeling of swinging on your front foot (it takes little time) you are on your way. I have hit some incredible irons shots the past few times out. Just keep practicing this just as Danny explains it ... great tip and Danny is the best teacher because he keeps it simple!
I love that dot visual. Used it in my round today and ball striking improved alot. Used to get a fair share of fat shots before. Great stuff. Probably the one golf video that's going to help me more than any other. And that feet back drill I was taught that when I started playing and somehow stopped. Thanks for reminding me. It's probably one of the most useful drills for balance. If I could give this 100 likes I would.
Every now and then a golfer will see a tip from a teacher and something will click in his head because the tip made so much sense. This is one of those tips for me. I played my first round today since watching the video and I dropped 15 strokes off my previous round...and it could have been 20 if my chipping had cooperated. My ball striking today was better than it has been in a very long time. I used to be a mid-to-high 80's golfer but lost my mojo some years ago. I've tried everything over the years to fix it and all I did was over complicate my swing. This drill does a great job of reinforcing balance, ball position and tempo...at least that's what I took from it. Thanks Danny! You've made the game fun again.
Seen a lot of drills on how to take a divot properly, and Danny's lesson just made sense to me. Tried the drill and saw instant improvement. Thank you Danny!!
This is a great drill. I’ve been so focussed on getting weight over my forward leg on the downswing I’ve allowed my upper body to lean back and keep smacking the turf ahead of the ball. Can’t wait to try this!
Best golf instruction video I've ever seen. I now hit iron with much better contact. Reached green from 170 out using 7 iron which I couldn't previously, gained about 20 yards.
Have always been struggling with consistency due to watching too much "lag" n "compress the ball" videos. Other golf coaches should watch n learn from YOU, Danny. Hands down my fave coach. Simple n Easy tips for anyone to understand. I owe you a round of golf.
You are the BEST Danny!!! Thanks for all your help. All your videos make a seemingly complicated issue and solve it with any easy repeatable fix. Awesome!
Danny, I am 57 years old and haven't played in many years so I am pretty much a new player. I embarressed myself on the course a few weeks ago. couldn't hit any club at all. I have watched your driving videos and now have that worked out. I was just out on the driving range practicing the drills in this video and wow! what a complete turn around. Thank you so much for these videos and especially for the easy and basic way you explain the golf swings. They make so much sense to me and now I feel that I can at least go out on the course and not make a fool of myself. Thank you, thank you. Peter F. Fort Myers Florida
5:08 on video! That is what I always thought that you had to swing ‘down the line’ instead of throwing the club!!! Thank you for that very important point, completely makes sense now and hopefully helps me maintain my balance. You are one of the best instructor out there. Thank you Danny!
Danny, this drill was a game-changer for me. I practiced it on the range and then played the course and made consistent ball contact for the first time ever. Many thanks for posting this and for your other great content.
Danny, I think your instructions are spot on! 3 important lessons I have watched, pitch and chipping ( no flipping and close in stance), flexion and extension ( no body roundy round out of control), and now body alignment practices to strike the ball in a proper manner. I’m working on these and hope to have a proper round of golf. Your style of instruction makes it so easy to comprehend the proper movements and technique. Thanks !
Absolutely magic Danny boy never seen anyone else do this drill so good for balance and weight transfer my main aim is always to hit ball then turf I think this might nail it for me 👍🏻👍🏻🏌️🏌️
I just watched this video but have not began the drills yet. At this point I think that this is just the thing that addresses my problems more than any tip I have ever seen. I have seen thousands but I have never seen this fault addressed. Thanks so much.
This has done wonders for my swing I had a tendency to get my shoulders tilted sometimes with my irons this drill has totally taken that out of my swing
Danny, this was an amazing lesson! This has been my exact issue but I couldn't figure out how to quit doing it. The way you walked through it step by step was fantastic! After bad shots in the past I used to tell myself "don't throw the club"...and now as I line up to the ball I tell myself "remember to throw the club" and it saves me a ton of $$! You're the best!
superb lesson. And easy to follow and imitate. Takes the golfer outside his head and returns him to feeling the swing. Nick Price hit hundreds of balls in the off season like this in the mid 90's and when he returned to the tour won TWO majors.....
Another amazing video! The one legged drill has been a huge help, but it was the last little bit about throwing the club out that helped me diagnose the terrible error I was making: my grip had migrated to something less than optimal and I was restricting my ability to throw the club out! I love your thesis that the body does highly intelligent things to compensate for errors earlier in the swing, it has been the best algorithmic tool for working on my game that I have ever received!
I'm from Australia and another golfer who does exactly what Anthony does. Very easy to follow video Danny.... off over the grass to practice ... many thanks.
Amazing!! Simply amazing video Danny. Thanks heaps!! You are a legend and definitely my favourite RUclips golf instructor. I can’t wait to concentrate on this the next time I’m practicing.
Danny Maude is my new religion. Amazing the way he can break these lessons down and I literally see immediate improvement when putting it into practice.
You are a golf genius! Every video I watch of yours reveals a mental misconception of my swing image. The body will do some crazy things based off of what the brain thinks it needs to do. I wish I could take lessons from you.
I've been having a very difficult time shifting my weight on my downswing to my left side. This drill is going to help me do that AND striking the ball effectively! You are a great teacher, Danny! You simplify the golf swing making it so much easier to get it right, and do it with confidence!
OMG! Life changer for me from the 5 minute mark! As a beginner golfer, This is EXACTLY what I have been doing wrong. This is the first video I have watched (& I have watched 100's) that has made complete perfect sense that I can totally relate to & understand. I tested the "throwing the club & letting go" theory today on the range....and viola!! Thank you Danny for such a wonderful, plain english explanation. This is going to change my game like no other. Hallelujah!! lol
Had a back operation 5 weeks ago only started playing golf again July last year after a 6 year lay off due to a really bad back injury . Took that long to recover enough to play again practiced constantly day after day at the range and the golf club i joined . I used the feet together drill to start with my ball striking started to get really good start the beginning of this playing great considering. But due to alot of back problems during the summer having to take time off to recover . Then start playing again subsequently my game has deserted me just had another 5 weeks off after a procedure to repair nerve damage . Played to today for the first time in 5 weeks had a shocker that bad i nearly walked off and give the game up forever as my iron game was exactly as you described I hit tops or weak hooks ,which is so frustrating as I used to hit a very powerful iron , came home discovered your video on RUclips now i am determined to work hard and use your drill start from the beginning again . So thanks keep up the good work as your videos are easy to understand and follow with great tips on technique . Thank John.
Big fan of both. Danny much more integrated. Mikes transitional move handle down clubhead out game changing. Danny Instruction priceless. Both very practical and great communicators.
Danny - Another great training session. Could you expand on the concept of the handle moving toward the body and throwing the club out to ball? Absolutely love when I find that feeling in my short game and on full swings. Any additional drills you could share would be greatly appreciated!
Really enjoyed this. Used it during practice today, already focusing on hitting the ball first. It worked well on full shots but needs practice. Love the hands getting closer to the body. This will be amazing. I found massive gains in strike during chipping & pitching by keeping aligned. Thanks man! I'm 13.2 and I think I might come down 2 shots with these thought processes.
Just came in from the course, after a frustrating day of inconsistent iron shots. My golf buddy was trying to explain how I was making the mistakes explained in this video. I get it now!!! Can’t wait to get on the range, then back on the course to try it again with, hopefully much better iron play. I’ll try this with my hybrids, and driver as well. Great video one of the easiest to understand I’ve watched!!
Love the drill, Danny! I do this drill to warm up before hitting balls now. The bit at the end about the hand path guiding the ball out was gold. I was under the same impression about my hand path. I would have a great shot shape (draw) but I would struggle getting a consistent ball first strike. The small piece of information was huge for me. Thanks Danny!
Hi there. I watched this video at 3am as I don’t sleep well. And I was up at 6.30am to play golf at 7.30. I can drive the ball well but my problem is hitting fat irons. My best score of the season so far was 75. After watching this twice this morning, I put it into practice in my game, probably not the best time to try it, but anyway, what a difference, I finished with a 68, delighted!!! Thank you for this. Lewis
Just what I needed. With your recent post on improving the hip turn I'm super confident I can improve my strike once out of lockdown. You and Crossfield are the best YT instructors out there. Keep up the the great content. Thanks Danny.
Wow. Makes so much sense. I'm one of those who gets hooked on 'guiding' the club. Very wrong. I was a pitcher when I played baseball. In the early years I was 'guiding' the pitch often, just to insure the ball went where I wanted it to go when throwing fastballs. Very wrong according to my coach. Just relax and 'throw' the ball making full use of the rest of my body as usual. Just like what Danny says about 'throwing the club' and doing all the other body movement as usual. HUGE difference now with all of my clubs. Dean Seattle
Fantastic video. Shared with several family members... One of which has spent thousands of dollars on lessons. In my best English accent, this should fix him up proper! 🤣👍
My new favorite drill. Helped me with every club S thru driver. Does wonders for better contact, and really helped me shake the hooks. Highly recommend.
Excellent drill - I use it to start every range session and warming up before a round. Really helps me feel the spiral shape of the swing in balance. Keep up the great work!
just getting back into the game after a long time of not really playing. was a 6 when i was younger but never had great ball striking to allow me to progress further. this video and drill is awesome. i actually built a backyard driving net so i could practice this and my contact improved in about 5 "shots". i do this drill everyday and it has made a huge difference in how i am striking the ball and even the feeling of my swing. thank you so much Danny!!
Good video! One tip I heard or read somewhere that has helped me tremendously is to imagine the ball as a clock face with 12 pointing/facing the target. Now you want to imagine making club contact with the ball at 7 o'clock. It's absolutely impossible to do if you're 'casting' the club. To hit 7 o'clock you must get your hands and body ahead of the club. Helped me a bunch to imagine this as I swing, hopefully this helps someone else out there. Hit em well folks!
This is my actual stance with the trailing leg slightly out to the side to improve rotation and consistency in my swing. I've got from 110-120 to low 90s in 6 month playing twice a month.
What I love about Danny's coaching methods is tricks in how to feel in order to achieve what he has shown you is the right technique. The aiming of your backside to the target in the backswing revolutionised my feel of the turn and I get way more power. No one else has given that tip to achieve the right swing. This tip looks like it will do the same for me as I think I move too much for irons in my swing and need to feel cored to the centre
Danny I watch a lot of RUclips golf videos... but yours are by far the most helpful and give the best tips/advice. Can I please ask for a tutorial on how to hit a 3-4 iron and why people have such a drop off in consistency compared to even a 5? Thank you once again
Personally, I found hitting a 3 iron around the centre with a lump hammer works best, then exchanging it for a 7 wood. Dan may have alternative advice, mind?! 😬
this dude legit the most helpful teacher on yt
@LoganBohme thank you so much. I really appreciate your feedback 🙏🏻

So true, always simple and clearly explained!
I don't usually throw the club until after I hit the ball.
Yes that’s a great feeling, this will give you the delayed hit
Yeah - that's me, too. I usually throw it even farther after I MISS the ball.
I can throw the club further than I hit the ball….
Gnu h ļkkh g ykmjmni88578⁸980
I usually throw the club into the lake after shanking it
Danny's by far the best instructor on you tube. simple and logical and doable lessons.
Thanks for the support Mike, I know there are a lot of great coaches here on RUclips
@@DanielMaude since I started doing your tips, I am playing a realistic 14, down from 19 ish. Short game giving me confidence! Thanks dude!

This video changed my golf game... Thank you. I just broke 80 for the first time. I have been golfing for over 10 years and now I am finally playing stress free golf. You the man! I truly appreciate this.
That’s great to hear Carter 😁
It must be cool to know that around the world your voice is with us, enthusiastic and genuine and making golf fun. Thanks 🙏

Really happy to help Glenn, appreciate the support
Another awesome drill. My ball striking has immediately improved. Keep up the amazing work Danny, you’re hands down the best on RUclips.
Very kind, hope they help your ball striking
Totally agree, Danny gives technique that just works
J much appreciated, great to hear the channel is helping 😁
I think this is one of the single best videos and drills I have ever seen - brilliant
Really hope it helps your golf game Kevin
Wow! Seems like this video (and drill) might be the answer to my life-long inconsistency playing this game. Great video! Thank you!
Thank you Darren, hope the drill improved your golf swing 😁

Many thanks 🙏
I couldn't agree more. The other golf channels I subscribe to are for entertainment. This is the only one I watch and actually learn something.
Yes 100% agree
Each time something useful, thanks.

Brilliant way of teaching. No additional equipment needed.
Thank you Tony, hope it helps your game
Hey, Danny the man it's Dan here from NZ. I found this the best drill of all. I'm not a pro golfer but play on a 4 handicap at 67. Cheers mate.
I have been struggling with my irons for the last year or so -- always hitting it heavy and behind the ball. This tip from Danny is amazing and spot on. Eric Martinez my pleasure Eric, thanks for taking the time to comment
Simple and what I really like is it's repeatable and consistent!! Danny your the man with this drill. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the feedback Blake
One of the best drills I've ever seen to help the "lifter hitter" Danny!
Thanks Steve, hope it helps
;;
Best instructor on RUclips hands down!
Superb - just what I needed. Brilliantly explained, easy to implement, and expertly delivered.A great drill, many thanks for sharing.
My pleasure Paul, hope it helps you hit the ball then the turf with. more consistency
One of the best swing tutorials I’ve ever seen thanks
This is a great drill. I’ve been so focussed on getting weight over my forward leg on the downswing I’ve allowed my upper body to lean back and keep smacking the turf ahead of the ball. Can’t wait to try this!
You got this!
Best golf instruction video I've ever seen. I now hit iron with much better contact. Reached green from 170 out using 7 iron which I couldn't previously, gained about 20 yards.
Thats amazing, well done Matt
Such a great video . I hope this reaches many golfers.
Mark Faje thank you Mark, I hope it’s simple enough to help golfers feel how to transform their ball striking
Have always been struggling with consistency due to watching too much "lag" n "compress the ball" videos. Other golf coaches should watch n learn from YOU, Danny. Hands down my fave coach. Simple n Easy tips for anyone to understand. I owe you a round of golf.
Thank you Danny Maude. This drill has changed my game instantly. First class
Trevor Lewis great news Trevor, well done, thanks for sharing
You are the BEST Danny!!! Thanks for all your help. All your videos make a seemingly complicated issue and solve it with any easy repeatable fix. Awesome!
stewman607 very kind, I hope this makes the game simpler to play and more importantly more enjoyable
My pleasure Rick, I like this one too. Really helps to produce balance and coordination in the golf swing
Thanks !
Really happy to help Hobson
@@DanielMaude best of all, you read your subscribers comments and reply… good management
Absolutely magic Danny boy never seen anyone else do this drill so good for balance and weight transfer my main aim is always to hit ball then turf I think this might nail it for me 👍🏻👍🏻🏌️🏌️
If you take it step by step as I show in the video you will get it...good luck, any questions just ask
thank you, trying this out 2morrow! also thx for amazing content! i just agree with all the ppl saying this is the only channel you need to watch👌
@Floki6753 thank you so much for your comment. It really means a lot 🙏🏻
Heading out for a round this morning, now leaving even earlier to work this drill prior to tee.
Thanks Danny !
Happy Weekend
Let me know how you get on! :)
I just watched this video but have not began the drills yet. At this point I think that this is just the thing that addresses my problems more than any tip I have ever seen. I have seen thousands but I have never seen this fault addressed. Thanks so much.
My pleasure Gerald, hope it works out for you...keep me posted
This has done wonders for my swing I had a tendency to get my shoulders tilted sometimes with my irons this drill has totally taken that out of my swing
Easily one of the most helpful demos on how to strike the ball with proper balance! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks for the feedback
Brilliant, well done Robert...thanks for taking the time to write
Danny Maude google

superb lesson. And easy to follow and imitate. Takes the golfer outside his head and returns him to feeling the swing. Nick Price hit hundreds of balls in the off season like this in the mid 90's and when he returned to the tour won TWO majors.....
What a ball striker Nick Price was
Thanks, this is maybe the best advice I have had in a long time.
Ben Howard thank you Ben, hope it helps your ball striking
FANTASTIC BALANCE EXCISE! Much needed for us senior citizens.
Thanks again Thomas, I like this one
Another amazing video! The one legged drill has been a huge help, but it was the last little bit about throwing the club out that helped me diagnose the terrible error I was making: my grip had migrated to something less than optimal and I was restricting my ability to throw the club out! I love your thesis that the body does highly intelligent things to compensate for errors earlier in the swing, it has been the best algorithmic tool for working on my game that I have ever received!
Thanks for taking the time to feedback Sean...your body is a genius and will do its best for you every time
I'm from Australia and another golfer who does exactly what Anthony does. Very easy to follow video Danny.... off over the grass to practice ... many thanks.
Chris Golfer brilliant, looking forward to read how you get on
Amazing!! Simply amazing video Danny. Thanks heaps!! You are a legend and definitely my favourite RUclips golf instructor. I can’t wait to concentrate on this the next time I’m practicing.
G Man many thanks, I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment
Danny Maude is my new religion. Amazing the way he can break these lessons down and I literally see immediate improvement when putting it into practice.
Enjoy hell.
Knowing and applying is always my issue, this looks excellent Danny
Experiential learning Clive, if you learn feel what's going on you begin to own your golf swing
You are a golf genius! Every video I watch of yours reveals a mental misconception of my swing image. The body will do some crazy things based off of what the brain thinks it needs to do. I wish I could take lessons from you.
So true Donald, get the right concept and it’s amazing what the body will do to help you
I've been having a very difficult time shifting my weight on my downswing to my left side. This drill is going to help me do that AND striking the ball effectively! You are a great teacher, Danny! You simplify the golf swing making it so much easier to get it right, and do it with confidence!
The drill is going to - how do you know lol
Hallelujah!! lol
I use this tip for practice swings, has helped me massively, the feed back is instant !!
Great news glad it has worked for you
Best tip on striking the ball first, can't wait to put that into practice
Hope you enjoy it Andre
Good lesson for us oldies, well, it's helped me 👍
Great to hear Christopher, thanks for sharing
Thank John.
Couple this with Mike Malaska's drills in the same vein and you really can improve your swing dramatically. Love Danny's enthusiasm and knowledge.
Very kind, thanks for sharing
Big fan of both. Danny much more integrated. Mikes transitional move handle down clubhead out game changing. Danny Instruction priceless. Both very practical and great communicators.
One of the very best online golf videos! Addresses my problem - can’t wait to get to the range! Thank you!
Butch Taylor my pleasure Butch, look forward to hearing how it goes
Danny - Another great training session. Could you expand on the concept of the handle moving toward the body and throwing the club out to ball? Absolutely love when I find that feeling in my short game and on full swings. Any additional drills you could share would be greatly appreciated!
Another to the point no nonsense video. Brilliant teacher.
Thank you Shaun, always appreciator the feedback
That’s great Barry, hope it helps Barry
Love the drill, Danny! I do this drill to warm up before hitting balls now. The bit at the end about the hand path guiding the ball out was gold. I was under the same impression about my hand path. I would have a great shot shape (draw) but I would struggle getting a consistent ball first strike. The small piece of information was huge for me. Thanks Danny!
Thats great to hear Jarred, It's amazing what you guys pick up from each video
Lewis
Great swing thoughts Danny you make it look so easy and love the dot thing great lesson.
Thanks 🙏
This video makes so much sense. And I don't even really know that much about golf.
Hope it helps you too
Just what I needed.

Amazing to read Dean, thanks for sharing
Simple and logical. Can’t wait to try it out tomorrow,; tnx a lot.
john P. Larsen R. Great you liked it John, thanks and I hope it helps
great video. you're the first coach to talk about throwing the club naturally letting it fall without trying to guide it.
Hope it helps Nate
Fantastic video. Shared with several family members... One of which has spent thousands of dollars on lessons. In my best English accent, this should fix him up proper! 🤣👍
Funny, look forward to hearing how they get on
You are probably the best golf instructor, thanks
Thanks for taking the time to feedback Alan
At last, something so simple to follow, understand and implement. I love this drill, made a BIG difference, thanks Danny
My pleasure Mark, love to hear how you get on
Another good video well explained...possibly best guy on utube...keep it up
When you do your "Danny Maude goes to Los Angeles" tour ring me up Danny. You're the best. Thanks for your vids.
Very kind, thanks David...all the best

Let’s organize an event at Mountaingate. I know some people.
So much for golf instructors who always say ‘swing out to one o’clock’. Many thanks Danny - the penny has finally dropped👏
Awesome 👏
A great lesson, Danny has a great way to get a message across, every thing he says makes sense. Thanks a lot.
Thank you Thomas, really appreciate the feedback
My new favorite drill. Helped me with every club S thru driver. Does wonders for better contact, and really helped me shake the hooks. Highly recommend.
That’s brilliant, thanks for sharing
Excellent drill - I use it to start every range session and warming up before a round. Really helps me feel the spiral shape of the swing in balance. Keep up the great work!
Absolutely Russell, its such an old drill but a real classic
just getting back into the game after a long time of not really playing. was a 6 when i was younger but never had great ball striking to allow me to progress further. this video and drill is awesome. i actually built a backyard driving net so i could practice this and my contact improved in about 5 "shots". i do this drill everyday and it has made a huge difference in how i am striking the ball and even the feeling of my swing. thank you so much Danny!!
guyalmighty1 my pleasure, really happy to help
Great tip! everytime I watch videos like this I just want to grab my clubs and hit the green! even when i'm at work!
Amazing, well done
What I love about Danny's coaching methods is tricks in how to feel in order to achieve what he has shown you is the right technique. The aiming of your backside to the target in the backswing revolutionised my feel of the turn and I get way more power. No one else has given that tip to achieve the right swing. This tip looks like it will do the same for me as I think I move too much for irons in my swing and need to feel cored to the centre
Thanks Warren happy to help 😁
Danny I watch a lot of RUclips golf videos... but yours are by far the most helpful and give the best tips/advice. Can I please ask for a tutorial on how to hit a 3-4 iron and why people have such a drop off in consistency compared to even a 5? Thank you once again
Personally, I found hitting a 3 iron around the centre with a lump hammer works best, then exchanging it for a 7 wood. Dan may have alternative advice, mind?! 😬
Nice. This lead foot forward drill was apparently a favorite of the great Zimbabwean golfer Mark McNulty. He would practice with it all the time.
I never knew that 👍
