When we view pain we often look at it as something that can hold us back in life, yet Aliyah argues that there can not be success without pain. Drawing from the experiences of extraordinarily successful individuals, Aliyah draws on deep and excruciating pain as a common thread in all of their journeys. Aliyah invites us to shift our mindset away from the pain itself and towards the transformative potential it holds, thus understanding there is power in your pain. Aliyah Umm Raiyaan converted to Islam 25 years ago and has been involved in UK dawah for over 20 years. In 2010, she founded Solace UK, a registered charity that helps women who have converted to Islam and find themselves in difficulty. In 2019 she launched a RUclips show called Honest Tea Talk which brought unscripted conversations to the table about raw unspoken topics related to the Muslim community. In 2022, she was approached by the publisher Penguin to write and publish a book. The book, Ramadan Reflections, was published in March 2023 and became a Sunday Times Bestseller. Penguin recently published her second book, The Power of Du’a. She lives in East London where she home- educates her youngest children. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Why the long disclaimer from Ted talks? The speaker is dynamic and informative. Is the disclaimer because she is Muslim or because she praised the Prophet Muhammad PBUH?
This is so good sister I just wish you would have specified the research and the scientific studies

Thank you so much jazākum ALLAHU khayran yet we shouldn't throw our experiences on others as if it is or it is always their story too. It doesn't have to be that difficult.
Yes, the sharing of my story was to give hope to those who endure pain too. That they can find purpose through pain.
