I never understood why Alien Storm doesn't get at least get the same love as the original Golden Axe for the Genesis. Sega released 3 beat em ups in mid-late 1991 Alien Storm, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe 2. All 3 good games, all 3 clear upgrades over original Golden Axe yet Alien Storm gets the short end.
Streets of Rage is art, Alien Storm is short and fun in a 90's style which leaves Golden Axe in third place as it's a bit slow and a bit pagan/ fantasy as apposed to being modern.
This was a cool game; it didn't get a lot of media love though; people said it was too easy; and it didn't quite have the flawless execution of those other games. Streets of Rage had better music, and was more elegant.

All these years I thought the robot guy was spitting explosions onto the aliens, and now that I'm watching this longplay, I now realise that he's leaning forward and firing a projectile from his backpack. My childhood was a lie.
A CLASSIC! I Played a LOT on my MEGADRIVE (i'm from São Paulo-BR) on early 90's. Good old times.... I LOVE this channel!!! ! Straight to the point!!! The GAMEPLAY! No bullshit commentaries and stupid youtubers on screen!

Wow. My brother mentioned that title when I was making him guess some video games sounds. I completely forgot about it. But somehow after that, I immediately remembered the ending. theme. We had a cartridge that had several games in one, among them this one, Double Dragon and Fighting Master.
I was like 12 or 10 years old and a friend of mine father bought this console and after a while my friend lend it me to have some fun evenntually got addicted to it and never return it back. Meanwhile my friend and his family emigrate to Canada and i was lefr with the console and was very happy back then but down the years im felt disappointed of not having return the console and now im 40 years and wanna to buy the lastest ps5 to give back to the children of me friend but do not know how to apologise moreso i dont even live in the same country etc... Help me out... 😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏
i owned this game and the only thing about it i remember is never being able to get past the start screen because of that fuckin eyeball in the bottom right corner, goodness was that shit unnerving

Alien Storm stands among the best, SoR music is peerless but Alien Storm has some great tunes too
