When you carry out these things, it will help manage hair fall, like it helped me. Keep your scalp fresh by cleansing it often. Use a gentle shampoo. Make certain to get adequate sleep every night. Wash your hair 2-3 times per week with liitllleextra cocooniion shampoo. Apply some oil to your hair 2-3 times per week. After washing your hair, softly pat it dry with some soft towel.
Yup, this truly works. I've been trying the serum of reactivate by liittllexttra, and it's effective. My hair has started to grow, especially in areas where I've had long-standing issues. Along with aloe and Indian gooseberry, the serum is the new addition to my hair routine that has finally shown results after years of trying different oils. Additionally, at the end of the week, instead of throwing away the tea leaves, I use them as a hair rinse during my weekly wash routine.
I had telogen effluvium (allergic reaction and divorce triggered it). I lost about 30% of my hair. I started eating eggs daily, and taking the 4 Nutrafol pills. My hair has grown so much in a yr. Its full again and the shedding is "normal". I now only take 2 Nutrafol/day and I'm still seeing great results. For me, it really works! God bless to everyone on this hair journey 🙏.
I just started today with Nutrafol for men, my hair lost was cause by stressing before that i had a full thick head of hair and male pattern baldness does not run in my family. I'm hoping for the best the next few months if not then I guess it hair surgery. btw how long did it take before you started seeing results?
@@gracianosantos7995 I took the 4 pills for about 10 months. By this time my hair was back to normal as far as growth and rate of shed. I hate taking pills, and though these are capsules, they are large. And as you know Nutrafol is expensive, so taking 2 only makes the bottle a 2 month supply now. I can do approximately $40/month, much easier than $80+/month. 😊
I too have androgenetic alopecia. Yes I’m taking nutrafol for a year along with irestore for a year and have started minoxidil. It will be a lifetime of these products. Yes I’ve seen some great hair results. But my mother is bald, and I’m not going down easily. Thank you for the very informative video!
@@klg9127 for me i like what’s in these supplements, they contain everything for my immune system. my husband takes separately. i feel like they are cost effective for me. my dermatologist & my primary care dr have given me the ok for these. To answer your question i started nutrafol a yr ago & the irestore led light cap at the same time. New to minoxidil about 8 weeks, the smell does bother me a bit. Not giving up ! Good luck, don’t give up!!
I used Minoxidil for a year on my head and I loved the results but I could not stand the fact that I started growing hair on my face. Peachy fuzz, yes, but I now have to shave my mustache, forehead, sideburns, cheeks, etc every 3 to 4 days or so. I dont think it was worth it for me 😒
I have been diagnosed with AGA about 1 year and a half ago...my mum is not bald but has thinning hair so I am not going down easily as well...Been on irestore for 2 years, saw palmetto, I tried viviscal (but I didn't particularly seen any improvements) been on Scandinavian Biolab but again not many improvements, Regaine/Rogaine I am not keen in trying either, atm just saw palmetto, irestore, vit supplements and overhaul of previous lifestyle (I have never been keen on alcohol but nowadays I drink 0 alcohol and massively cut down on meat) so far the above 3 methods work...my last resort is spironolactone tbh, but given the potential side effects I am leaving this for last option....very interesting the curcumin and ashwaganda research, will delve into that myself and see😄
I lost a lot of hair during menopause and have been taking Nutrafol for about 11 months now and have seen HUGE improvement in hair growth. My stylist is also in shock at the improvement. It definitely works... at least for those who are suffering from hair loss due to menopause. Thanks for your awesome and informative videos!
I was diagnosed with CCCA alopecia, my dermatologist recommended Nutrofol and monixidil+finasteride mix..She stopped taking insurance so I had to stop the mix. I continued Nutrafol and my things hair is now thicker, and I have less shedding. Its expensive but to me its worth it..I have enough shoes 🤣🤣🤣 so yes I no longer spend money on shoes every month I take Nutrofol
In India we often make a turmeric milk drink with turmeric that has curcumin, pepper and Ashwagandha with honey. Your video had convinced me to drink that more! ☺️
My doctor told me I have androgenetic alopecia, I'm only 26 💔, and recommended minoxidil. I started minoxidil and did a lot of research. Nutrafol popped up constantly but the price was crazy imo. So I put my own regimen together of collagen, saw palmetto, ashwagahnda, and curcumin w/ black pepper extract. Minoxidil + these vitamins is still cheaper on a monthly basis than Nutrafol lol and for anyone interested I've had INCREDIBLE results using minoxidil in conjunction with these supplements. I saved myself from going bald very young in life. I would say give these supplements a try if your doctor approves but don't start with Nutrafol, overpriced and overhyped. THANK YOU DR DRAY FOR THIS VIDEO 🙏🏼
Do you have any links for the supplements that you used? I have been using the Mielle Rosemary Mint oil and it's helped. I was having a lot of hair breakage mid-shaft and my hair dresser noticed an improvement in the fullness of my hair.
@@acleonards1179 Collagen I, II, and III 1000mg Saw Palmetto 500mg Tumeric Curcumin 2250mg Ashwagahnda 2100mg I linked all the ones I used in another comment if you want to check that out
I’m on month three, and my hairstylist and I are seeing a lot of new growth 🥰 I has 3 babies back to back, and in my last pregnancy, I developed Graves’ disease, and I had my thyroid removed in June 22, and yes it’s a $88 bottle but well worth it. We spend $100 on a night out or weekly on food and coffee, so I can spend a little bit more on my hair. I would 100% recommend this product.
@@jennycapetillo3948 yeah! I can’t wait for the next few months! I was stressing about work and I didn’t realize I was pulling out my hair day in and day out, I’ve stopped since but the damage has been done. I’ve tried other stuff the last 2 years but I wanted to try this and see how it goes before doing any hair surgery. I’m glad it’s been working for you.
@@Jason1904 And it will work for you too! Don’t stress, and remember to be patient with the results. Don’t get discouraged, either. I also oil the front of my head (where I see more shedding) with Fenugreek Oil, and I leave it for 30m before a shower once a week. Good luck!! Update me in 3 months that would be month 6 for me 😊
Would love to hear a discussion regarding hair regrowth after chemotherapy. The growing in process, products that are beneficial for different areas (scalp, lashes, brows etc), and ingredients to be cautious of in consideration of recent chemotherapy treatments.
A derm who specializes in hair loss for black/African-American hair is Dr. Crystal Aguh. Dr Alexis Stephens also has a video dealing in hair loss and mentions Nutrafol.
My answer is yesssss why? I saw a friend who has auto immune like me. She started NUTRAFOL 9 months ago & her Balding spots are full !! Her hair grew back ! It grew faster, fuller I saw it with my own eyes! 🎉 My friend has LYMPHODEMA- she has been over weight from LOTS OG EDEMA & she gained weight when years ago the dr.gave her cortisone (of course lazy docs go to) she has not been on that for years! Since nutrafol my friend is losing her WEIGHT! That’s the only thing she did different is take the NUTRAFOL faithfully & 9 months later her thinning hair FILLED in & she has lost about 30 lbs
I think, too, having a low carb high protein diet since hair is mostly generated by protein amino acids. I noticed that at my most unhealthy, when I consumed more carbs/starch and stopped working out, my hair thinned and started falling out. I workout 4 days a week now, and eat a high protein diet. Trying to reverse the damage I did. When I was younger, I would workout almost everyday and consume high protein and my hair was luscious. I miss that youthful hair!
On your advice, I finally saw a dermatologist about 1 1/2 years ago to get a diagnosis and treatment plan. I had previously been spending a ton of money and time on various supplements, etc. I just wanted to thank you for that advice! At 56 I'll never have what I had in my 20's. But at least now people no longer stare at my scalp when talking to me 🤣 Your one piece of advice led to a change in my daily life that I can't thank you enough for!
@@lizb8843 I'm currently using oral an topical minoxidil, Finasteride and redlight (iRestore). I didn't start it all at once, and she adjusted the oral meds a little at a time. It's been life-changing and I no longer feel like I'm treading water and getting nowhere. I hope you have success, too! 🥰
I started taking Nutrafol 7 months ago recommended by a Dr, but first 2 months at half doses, and i saw significant improvement in shedding, seeing that i went full dose for next 2 months, and i am seeing baby hair coming out, so for me its 2 thumbs up even just for the shedding improvement.
As someone with confirmed LPP by way of biopsy, I will not take this. I don’t take medication, but instead I am trying to control with nutrition and lifestyle. Thank you Andrea for your educational video. 🙏🏽❤️
My Derm recommended Nutrafol. I choked down the pills (they made me actually gag) for almost a year (I never got used to the taste). I didn’t see any difference. My hair loss continued and it only stressed me out more to choke down something I hated and spending the money for no results. I’ve been using Rogaine and I’m seeing new growth but my hair continues to fall out faster than it grows in.
Thank you Dr. Dray for this wonderful video!!! I’ve been taking Nutrafol for exactly 12 months. I mainly started taking it because I’d noticed thinning in my crown area which is hereditary. While I haven’t noticed much improvement in the crown area, I did notice my temple area became fuller even though that area wasn’t an issue. Like you mentioned, the supplement is quite costly and with the results I’ve seen so far, I think I would see similar results taking a multivitamin and collagen supplement. Thank you again for the informative video, you’ve helped me make the decision to end my subscription!!
I had chemotherapy and consequently lost all of my hair. My hair never made a full recovery much to my distress. I can honestly say that using rosemary water has definitely improved the condition of my hair and it is growing again. My hairdresser noticed a difference. I've only been using it for 3 months. I make it up and keep it in the fridge. I spray on my roots and massage every morning. I am also using it on my husband's hair as he is thinning on top. He has lots of fine baby hair growing. It is extremely conditioning. Yes to say I'm delighted is an understatement 😂. I'm beginning to feel like my old self again. It's free, it's natural, it's healthy and it works. Love to all❤
I have also read about Rosemary Oil. I have been putting it on my scalp. But the water sounds less greasy! (I've been putting it in a carrier of Jojoba oil). Can you tell me the ratio/mixture you use for your rosemary water? Thank you. (I also have leukemia)
@@SuperStarbrick I'm sorry to hear you are unwell..it's certainly tough I know. One day at a time. That got me through. I just used a couple of large decent handfuls of rosemary..stalks and all. Boil up for 20mins. Keep lid on pot while it cools. Strain and decant into a jar. I have 2 small spray bottles for applying to the roots. Just enough to wet the roots. Then give scalp a good massage. You can use it twice a day if you wanted. I think there's videos on RUclips if you need. You won't get it wrong. All the very best wishes to you on your journey. Much love and light I send to you 💕
Thank you for your advice. Massaging my scalp with a boar bristle brush in order to increase blood flow to the follicles has helped reduce my hair loss.

Hi dr dray I took nutrofol for about 6 months, I worked at a dermatology office and was able to get it at a discounted price. I started taking it in hopes that it would help me grow my hair longer but I didn’t see much improvement. Personally I feel my efforts are better spent on my diet and quality of sleep.
Thank you Dr Dray for all of the amazing content.I’m 49 years old woman, I’ve been taking nutrafol for close to 8 months now but haven’t seen much improvement, I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to continue taking it.
This is very random Dr. Dray, but I really want Dr. Andrew Huberman to have you on his podcast. He needs someone as well-rounded, well-versed as you are to provide his audience with the dermatologist side of things. I've been watching him for years and every so often he says something about skincare, hair & nails, that make me do the 😬 face because I've listened to you long enough to know you'd school his butt. One of his interviews with Dr. Rhonda he made a comment about not using sunscreen because he doesn't trust the ingredients, and I just face-palmed. I really hope to see you on his show one day. 🌞☺
I would trust Dr Andrew Humberman he is a genius..he is all about the science and if you look at many SPF on the market they are shocking ingredients.. SPF zinc based mineral is the only exception.. If you have a healthy diet with no toxic seed oils eat nutrient dense one ingredient foods you do not burn in the sun as your body is not inflamed. If you spend all day in the sun then you will.burn ..There are optimal times to be in the sun and to.be safe doing so..
I've been seeing a lot of ads for this lately and since they always say it's dermatologist recommended, I've wondered what you thought about it. Really appreciate your detailed description and your opinion. I have thin hair and while I would love to have thick, luxurious hair, I realize there's not a magic pill to achieve that. For now, I'll accept what was given to me and be happy. Thanks, Dr Dray! Happy Friday!! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a wonderful weekend!! 💖
I've been taking Nutrafol for women over age 45 for about 5 months now. Every bottle lists contents of 120 tablets. In every purchase I have counted the number of tablets and found each bottle short by 3 to 6 tablets. At the price I'm paying, I'd at least like the full amount it states on the bottle! It is a good product, but could their quality control people at least make sure that the full listed quantity is in each bottle? Thank you!
Did not lose my hair until my thyroid stopped working. I need something for hair, skin and nails. So would not mind spending but need to address all the issues. Love your posts. So informative and I know the info is not bogus - no waste of my time - Thanks! ☘️
I tried to read as many reviews as possible of Nutrafol and Viviscal and decided on Viviscal because they not only got good reviews but only needed to take two tablets for a few months til you see results and then back off to one a day. I had success and now have my husband on it. So can you also do a review of Viviscal as well as a serum by Revela which I have started using as well.

@@SomeoneWhoCares-jm7lj I use Viviscal. My dermatologist recommended it. She says her patients have positive results. I'm sixty and don't have a diagnosis yet. I'm using the supplement and it has stopped the loss of hair. It just hasn't grown hair back.I'm okay with that. At least I'm not losing it now.
I've been taking nutrafol and my hair is growing back! I also had two sessions of prf injections. I'm so happy with the results so far! It's only been 3 months and my hairline is coming back to its original state!
PRP did nothing for me but cause me immense pain, but I'm glad if it worked for you. I did it on its own to try to isolate the results, so it would be interesting to see if the nutrafol on its own is effective (I haven't tried it yet).
@@TrishA-cp5dx I was told to do both by my nurse. The prp was used to stimulate growth and nutrafol was to stabilize my hormones. So I suppose it was in an inside and outside job
Thank you for this review and your advice to see your dermatologist is the best advice. I jumped on the curcumin band wagon and then realized some has possible lead depending where it’s sourced. For example if sourced from Bangladesh it has up to 500 times normal levels of lead. I think getting a proper diagnosis and consulting with a dietician is a better option
I get Nutrafol at my dermatologist's office and taking it over a year. My hair has never been longer. Even when I was a teen. It grows fast. I don't think it's thicker but my mother had male pattern baldness and I want ti avoid that. I am in my 60's. I'd like to know more about hair serums like Vegamore. That's pricey too. Then there are those red light gadgets. I would love to hear your opinion on all of it. Thanks.
I took nutrafol for 3 months. I had great results… my hair grew fast, the shedding completely stopped and my hair thickness I would say came back around 40 percent. I decided to stopped the treatment bc I hate taking pills and I have a very sensitive stomach and 4 pills plus probiotic and the stress one…plus my daily vitamins was just too much. I just got tired!!!! ---Once I stopped taking the pills, my hair began to fall immediately. Now It’s been a year since I stopped…and I think it’s time to start the treatment again, but this time around I’m only going to take 2 pills, plus the probiotic and the stress one. If this doesn’t work…then I’m going to look for another treatment that doesn’t require so many pills.
My hair started coming out in chunks, probably post covid. I did all blood test with PC and naturopath - all came back great. I started Viviscal and after 3 months when shedding stopped I added Harklinikken extract and shampoo. After 9 months my hair looks amazing, it's thicker and scalp looks fuller. I'll be stopping the supplement at 12 months to see if the results will last
@AP i to am on Viviscal. I just started taking it. I’m interested in how you went about getting the Harlinkkin? I went to a dermatologist he didn’t tell me what kind of hair loss that I’m experiencing told me to ingest minoxidil and use the Nutroful. I didn’t like what I read.
I tried Harklinikken and my hair was falling out more and it made my hair super dry . Did that happened to you hair at all when using it ? It was also very pricey for Harklinikken
@ap I’m very sensitive to so much. I’ve used every shampoo and conditioner for thinning hair and my hair seems to fall out. Right now I’m using Pura D Or sold on Amazon, with a few drops of Rosemary essential oil drops in my shampo. I saw a dermatologist because I’m really thinning even balding. He never told me what kind of hair loss I’m experiencing. Wrote me a script for minoxidil and told me to take Nutrafol. I’m almost 65 women are over 60 should not ingest minoxidil. I’m beyond frustrated at this point.
I had post Covid telogen effluvium. My derm said to not waste my money on nutrafol but spend it on viviscal plus a prescription for spironolactone and here I sit 1 year later with little shedding and very dense/ thick hair. I’m a happy girl and tell everyone about viviscal
Just ordered! 28 year old male whos hair began thinning about 7-8 months ago & have been putting this off for way too long! Finally pulled the trigger and excited to get started on this journey!
Its actually unfortunate how well this works. I don't have any issues (I think), just naturally normal-ish fine hair. It made my hair fall out so much less, like 1-2 hairs in the hairbrush daily and in the shower which has never happened before. This took a few months to happen ofcourse. Unfortunately though, to get it in Canada, the shipping and dollar conversion ends up making it even more expensive, like around$105 per month, which is like 3 dollars a day rough estimate. Its just..soooo expensive, so I had to stop. But God did it work so well. Id love to find a replacement
Thanks for this informative video. My dermatologist didn’t properly diagnose my hair loss but prescribed Nutrafol and said don’t ask me what’s in it I don’t know but some have had success. Unsatisfactory! I appreciate your honesty and knowledge I am passing on Nutrafol. Proper diagnosis is important, thank you.
After getting COVID recently (yet, somehow went 3 years without getting it), I had massive hair loss. I subscribed to Nutrafol and the one thing I can say (I am only 3 months in right now) is that the *rate* of my hair growing is wildly impressive. My hair grew a whole inch in 3 weeks (I base that on the grays that came in after my monthly coloring). Am I getting 'new' hair growing? Not that I can tell so far. But, I'm sticking with it for at least another 3 months to see if it will kick start my now very thin hair to grow back. I am still mourning the loss of all my hair, though, so I'm very happy with at least some improvement.
I also got covid. It took a month to get better totally. 1 month later, my hair started falling out a lot. It's still falling out. I'm hoping and praying it stops soon. I use minoxidil and the light laser comb. I also use rosemary oil and take vitamins and try my best to take good care of it. I was doing all these things for years before I got covid. I still continue to do them. I want thick hair again.
I lost a ton of hair after covid in 2020. When the hair I lost started growing back it stuck straight up and my hair was pretty crazy for a while. Took two years until it got to be a length that I could cut all my hair to be the same length. Wish I knew about this when I went through this.
I've had covid several times and lots of hair loss. While the hair I still have is growing, it was getting let thick everytime I got covid. Now i just keep hoping the new growth will come back at least a lil bit
I have been taking Nutrafol for 8 months and it made a big difference in regrowing hair post partum, but my other problem was scalp inflammation and Seborraic dermatitis (diagnosed by derm). I had this primarily due to hard water and from olaplex 😱 The Nutrafol made hair regrow, and my scalp inflammation improved dramatically after installing a whole house water softener/filtration system, along with a medicated shampoo.
Just throwing this out there… I think hair loss post partum is typically caused by a telogen effluvium and that usually resolves on it’s own. Maybe the supplement helped it come back faster but just wanted to mention this in case someone can’t afford the supplement but thinks they need it. Glad it worked for you!
@@Hemmyii oh totally agree about that type of hair loss! In my experience with trying to regrow, I used olaplex shampoo and conditioner and it caused chunks of hair to come out every time I washed it. The olaplex paired with hard water gave me sebboraic dermatitis (orange/red large flakey scabs in random places on my scalp.) it wasn’t until after we got the water softener and I used Nutrafol (recommended by my derm) that I saw wonderful progress. This information absolutely needs to be out there!! 🙂 my story is my own experience 🙂
@@molo8657 I’ll have to try that if I get it again. My dermatologist prescribed Ciclopirox shampoo and Halog solution to soften the seb derm. It was so itchy and traumatic.
I’m a salon owner and stylist, I spent a bunch of money doing a personal experiment to see if Nutrafol would increase my own hair thickness or make my hair grow faster, my results were zero changes in thickness or faster hair growth. I’ve also experimented with many other hair growth products and so have many of my salon customers, I personally think all products claiming to yield any positive results for hair growth are all a waste of money.
It's not intended for those who have zero hair loss problems. As you mentioned, you were seeking improved thickness and or longer faster growth. This is not intended as an improvement aid or to grow extra follicles for thickness.
Thank you Dr Dray! Im on a fixed income, i can't afford to waste money. Your advice and information is very good. Going to take that advice in account. Yes, again thank you
This is totally unrelated to today’s topic but I would be interested in hearing if there is a correlation between GI distress and poor skin condition. On today’s topic I have patterned hair loss and I have been using the iRestore thanks to your recommendation. My hair is thicker and I am seeing baby hairs in bald spots at my temples. I have been using it for about 3 months. Thanks Andrea!
As always, thank you for your expertise! I have been taking Nutrafol for 4 months and my hair has definitely gotten thicker. It's expensive so not sure I will continue.
I have been taking Nutrafol since March 2022, but haven’t been perfectly consistent. I have seen some good hair growth and retention, but the retention is more my problem - my hair grows at a good rate, but it breaks easily because of previous damage. It’s a vicious cycle to break. I’m trying to remedy it now by cutting all my damaged ends off and just waiting for it to grow.
Dr. Dray, Happy Friday! TGIF! Thank you for explaining the difference in use between saw palmetto and finasteride. I have Minoxidil in my medicine cabinet, but have been using rosemary oil for my alopecia areata (Treating small, patchy spot in the forefront of my hairline). I also was not aware that biotin deficiency was so rare and a supplement is really not needed. I will keep Nutrafol in mind an another option. Thank you for the education and informative nature of your videos!
Thank you Miss Andrea for pointing out such an important issue that maybe not everybody but quite a big percentage of individuals struggles with it, which is our hair. I personally went to my dermatologist got examined and my dear doc said that anxiety was my enemy vitamins and other blood test were excellent. The result was androgenetic alopecia, now the problem had a name and straight right away we proceeded with the treatment minoxidil 5 percent AKA botafex 5 percent and hair tonic shampoo. We also talk about oral supplements for accelerating the procedure but we decided not to go with it. Overall the results in 6 months we outstanding healthy shinning strong hair. You are just the best i don't know but i want to hug you for addressing such common and not so common issues that keep pestering us. May God give you everything for the good you do Miss Andrea. Have a glorious morning only with smiles and Full of Friday fun vibes ❤️✌️😊😇😎☺️🙏💕
I took it for three months. Went to a dermatologist and she sold it directly to me. I continued to lose hair. I stopped the supplement and started 5 percent minoxidil on my own and it seems to be working. In hindsight, I was disappointed to be sold a supplement directly from my dermatologist. Especially, since the less expensive, FDA approved minoxidil is working. I need to go to a new dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis.
I am a 43 yr old woman and after having COVID 2 x in last 2 years I have had significant hair loss. I am currently on nutrafol although I only take 2 capsules. It's been 4 months and my hair is maybe more healthy but definitely not a huge difference. I am hopeful that with time ... although getting into Peri menopause probably time not on my side. Really just trying to roll with the punches. Thanks for your videos. ❤️
I also had covid in 2020 and had lots of hair loss as a side effect. I was also told that I have frontal alopecia...anyway I understand what you are going through. I think I will be giving minoxidial a try good luck to you.
I lost most of my hair due to stress after losing both my husband and mom months apart. I tried everything. The one supplement that made my hair grow back quickly was marketed for skin, City Beauty Skin Restore vitamins. People using them noticed they needed their hair cut too frequently so I tried them. My hair growth changed drastically.
Took it for about 8 months late 2020-2021. 2019 and 2020 were just a giant stress (2019 for work reasons and 2020 because obviously) and I noticed by partway through 2020 that my hair just felt super thin and there was about double the daily hair fall as usual. While taking it I had about half the normal daily hair fall. I do think my hair was quite a bit thicker than my normal baseline at the end. Interestingly the best surprise was that my eyebrows got thicker and longer as well, which my sad short sparse brows have been a huge source of insecurity for years. I ended up discontinuing it due to the cost primarily, but also over concerns about possible overdose of Vit D & Vit E as I take a couple more general supplements that also include those. I don’t feel like all the progress has been lost in all the months I haven’t taken it, I think it is more than back to Pre 2019 baseline, but perhaps not as good as at the end of the 8 months.
Is there anyone else, more so than Dr. Dray, on YT that when you listen to them, you KNOW that they truly understand the subject matter in depth? Me wither :)
COVID really hit my hard with hair loss. I was thinking of taking this. I had COVID 2 times exactly one year apart. Hair loss with the first COVID round AND the second. I know it grows back but it’s crazy.
I've been struggling with hair loss due to my first covid19 infection over a year ago. I used to have beautiful hair and it's just changed. I know it says it doesn't kill the hair follicle and just speeds up to phase where your hair naturally sheds so it looks Ike its falling out..but my hair has thinned significantly and is almost lifeless. I cry in the shower all the time. What do I do?? 😔
Wow your skin looks absolutely perfect in this video! Especially around your eyes, it’s so plump and healthy looking. Can you maybe give us an update of what you are using lately? Whatever it is it’s definitely working 😊
There've been several times that I've considered purchasing Nutrafol. I have always had a full head of hair, and it I consider myself very lucky. Thanks to my maternal grandfather, whom even at an old age, he left with a luscious head of hair. But stress does get to me sometimes and reflects on my hair right along with my digestion. But I must say that I have stuck with Rogaine, which has always worked wonders for me. Granted I do take a number of supps like collagen, and a 20-dollar hair supplement in conduction, and again, it has worked wonders for me. Now, I am only 34, so I'm sure that's played a role on how good Rogaine has worked for me in the past. Perhaps when I can actually afford an 88-dollar supplement, I may reconsider Nutrafol, you know as preventative measure. But for now, why throw that money away, when just like Dr. Dray said, I may not actually need!
I am currently on my 7th month of nutrafol. I have seen an improvement in hair thickness and I also shed a lot less. Before nutrafol I was on viviscal pro for 6 months. My hair thinning problems started in my teenage years due to an eating disorder. I did first see a dermatologist and got blood work done. She recommended me to take either nutrafol or viviscal. She said they work about the same so she recommends viviscal over nutrafol due to price. I only switched to nutrafol to see if I would notice a difference, but quite honestly I think they work about the same. I think I will switch back to viviscal since it is cheaper and I find it easier on my stomach.
Viviscal contains shark fin, look up the barbaric way in which it is sourced. They cut the fin off while the sharks are alive and throw them back in the ocean while they thrash in pain only to die after much suffering. Please inform yourself before supporting something like this.
My best friend is living proof it can work. He’s a guy with male pattern hair loss and he’s taken Nutrafol for four months and the amount of hair that has grown back in on his receding hairline is insane. It’s worked so well he’s convinced me to try it because I see actual results.
Thank you for your video! I have no deficiencies, but have been taking this for 7months for hair thinning & have seen significant improvement. It sucks that it’s so costly though.
Hi Jackie!! How are you and how was your day? I hope you had a nice one. I was off today and did a lot of shopping trying to get stocked up after the holidays. Boy, prices are ridiculously high! I've been having problems finding my kitties dry food and had to go to multiple stores just to find a few bags. Not sure why there's a shortage. Have a fabulous weekend and I'll be thinking of you while I'm sipping my tea. ☕ Much peace and many blessings to you, sweet friend. 💟🙏💟🕊💟
My hair started shedding after a stressful situation last year. Now, it’s coming out in long strands. I’m totally freaking out. I have an appointment with my Dermatologist next month to find out why & what type of hair loss. I have taken photos of how much hair I lose after shampooing. Thank you for this video.
The same thing is happening to me right now! I have an appointment with the dermatologist but I am freaking out. Do you mind if I ask what happened with your appointment?
Thank you Dr. Dray for the informative video, I appreciate the detailed explanation of ingredients. I had Covid twice and unfortunately, developed telogen effluvium about 75 days after each round of Covid. I was diagnosed with this by two different derms. The second round of TE, I started taking Nutrafol, and I will say I feel I have seen more rapid growth with taking this supplement as compared to the first round when I did not take Nutrafol.
I stopped biting my nails when I started Nutrafol. I’m 60 and was never able to not bite my nails. Not talking nail growth here. Talking about a habit. So maybe it helped with stress level some. I still have facial tics. I haven’t been taking it consistently during my 3 months unfortunately. I am going to call Nutrafol with some questions.Great video. Thank you.
I was so excited to take their postpartum hair growth supplement. I took it for 3 days and every time I took it (split up dosage, with a meal) my stomach felt like I had the stomach flu. I’m not sure what ingredient caused this but the cramping was horrible and at times unbearable. I was so sad it didn’t work for me because in theory it sounds like a great product.
It was most likely the zinc, zinc makes me really sick, but I have to take it so I finally found one called healthy gut which has a different form of it that doesn't make me sick
I had the same reaction and ended up throwing half the bottle away, money in the trash! But then i still see all these people that say it works so well for them and I wish I had just tried to tough it through. Ugh!!
I took nutraful for 2 years and my hair was doing SO well I almost forgot how bad it could be! I got too comfortable and thought I could 'take a break', maybe save some $ on that monthly cost .... Within 2-3 months I was back at square one (if not worse than square one) and lost ALL hair growth from that time!!!!!!! I'm back on it now for 4 months and it's finally starting to grow back! It does work (maybe not for everyone idk), you can never stop taking it tho! I vow to take nutraful until the day I die or until more affordable and advanced treatments are developed.
It does work! I was on Vegamour for 14 months and it only helped a little. Just with 6 weeks on Nutrafol my hair volume is much better. I'm going to stick with it!
Perfect timing, I’ve been trying to research for my sister who’s always had thin slow-growing hair, while mine is the opposite 🤔 there’s so many products on the market it’s hard to navigate
I’m working with the doctor to try to establish the cause of my hair loss. It’s diffuse and worse in the summer. I do have low thyroid. I need my meds adjusted so hopefully that will help. In the meantime, I just started back on Nutrafol. I did very well when I used a topical serum along with Nutrafol. Major difference. Hoping and praying for the same.
I have asked my dad also a board certified dermatologist like yourself about and he said similar to you as I am a woman over 60… but he told me I could try it I may for a few months. Trying to bring back my edges and thinning hair which was thick until menopause. Also I’m on no medication I’m still healthy as is my 84 year old dermatologist dad 🥰
Hello, Dr. I'm wondering if there is any other supplement out there similar to Nutrafol at a more affordable price? I've been interested in their supplement for the longest of time but the crazy expensive price keeps me from buying it... The list of ingredients looks great for male pattern hair loss and we don't have to take different supplements just to intake all the other ingredients like curcumin, ashwagandha, and saw palmetto.
Thanks for this informative video. I have been dealing with hair loss for 3 years now and after numerous tests dermatologist said it it most likely genetic due to age, etc. I am 61. I have been taking Nutrafol for 2 years and it does help with new hair growth but hasn't lessened the shedding. I am also starting to wonder about long term side effects. Really not sure what to do at this point. I have been thinking about taking a break because I wonder if it is affecting my stomach (I have IBS)
Hi Dr. Dray I was wondering if you could make a video about tretionoin in it's gel form. I was recently prescribed the gel form from my primary care physician pertaining to acne. HOWEVER it contains so much alcohol it basically feels/smells like I am applying straight up hand sanitizer and I'm wondering if that will contribute to skin aging. Also it is a pharmaceutical brand by the name of Mylan that I haven't previously heard of so if you could discuss different brands of tretionoin and explain whether they all produce the same results or are other brands proven to be more effective? Thanks
Thank you Dr. Dray for your informative videos on hairloss. Could you do a video on Just Nutritive products? They have products for hairloss. I tried looking through old videos but I didn't see anything on this line.
Hello, Dr. Dray. Thank you for this supplement product review. Might you consider a review of the supplement products Luventa and Lyma for skin rejuvenation, please? These are rather pricey, and it might be nice to garner an idea as to whether or not the juice is worth the squeeze. Thank you for your time either way. Take care and 🎉Cheers in the New Year 2023 🎊
I have nutrafol. I am wondering if it is best to take it in the morning with a meal? Or at night with a meal? Or it doesn't matter? Does anything in it make you stay awake at night?
When you carry out these things, it will help manage hair fall, like it helped me. Keep your scalp fresh by cleansing it often. Use a gentle shampoo. Make certain to get adequate sleep every night. Wash your hair 2-3 times per week with liitllleextra cocooniion shampoo. Apply some oil to your hair 2-3 times per week. After washing your hair, softly pat it dry with some soft towel.
I’ve been using the cocooniiion hair oil from liitllextra more than six months and ordered another one. The oil really reduced hair fall.
Physician here - this is EXACTLY the kind of review I was looking for. New subscriber.
My hairs growth is increasing each day since i began using reactivate growth serum
A friend who is an influencer suggested cocooniion oil and reactivaate serum. I'm so happy to say that it has controlled my hair loss by almost 90%
This is awesome! How long were you taking 4 pills a day?
Like the doctor says though, telogen effluvium is temporary and will improve on its own anyway. Without any treatment.
How long did it take to see the results since u started the nutrafol plz answer thanks 🙏
Thanks for watching
On Minoxidil now (3 mos). It is cheap and seems to be working. Wondering if I should add Nutrafol. What order did you start your treatments?
Do you take the recommended four capsules a day?
@@miffitron yes 4/day and I also take Vital Proteins collagen... but I'm not as consistent with the collagen.
lol sure
Your story ….. does not mean it works . Think you don’t know wether your hair loss would have stopped, had you NOT taken Mitra fool.
Hi! Do you take the Nutrafol for women over 45, or the regular one?
Thank you!
Thank You ,I wanted to know do it work for CCC
Clearly😅
@msjaxson125 did you notice a lot of hair fall after not taking monixidil?
I purchase Nutrafol on EBay at roughly $40 a bottle, fyi. Glad you have had success. I just started last July.
In India we often make a turmeric milk drink with turmeric that has curcumin, pepper and Ashwagandha with honey. Your video had convinced me to drink that more! ☺️
sounds tasty
Funny because you Indians have literally the best hair in the world
It would be greatly appreciated if you would share the recipe for this tasty drink. : )
@sukanya lyer I would love to know where to buy Ashwandha to make this drink.

I’ve been taking it for 2 years now, it’s changed my hair so much I won’t stop lol it works for me
My doctor told me I have androgenetic alopecia, I'm only 26 💔, and recommended minoxidil.
I use 5% minoxidil and mielle rosemary oil as well for anyone who sees this comment and is interested ❤️
Do you have any links for the supplements that you used? I have been using the Mielle Rosemary Mint oil and it's helped. I was having a lot of hair breakage mid-shaft and my hair dresser noticed an improvement in the fullness of my hair.
Where did you purchase all of this?
could you please tell us the dosages of each supplement that you take??

I’m on month three, and my hairstylist and I are seeing a lot of new growth 🥰 I has 3 babies back to back, and in my last pregnancy, I developed Graves’ disease, and I had my thyroid removed in June 22, and yes it’s a $88 bottle but well worth it. We spend $100 on a night out or weekly on food and coffee, so I can spend a little bit more on my hair. I would 100% recommend this product.
did you have any side effects or notice anything out of the ordinary? I just started today. I also bought their Shampoo and Conditioner.

Would love to hear a discussion regarding hair regrowth after chemotherapy. The growing in process, products that are beneficial for different areas (scalp, lashes, brows etc), and ingredients to be cautious of in consideration of recent chemotherapy treatments.
Great video! I love your honesty and it is so refreshing to see doctors doing videos that are not sponsored or linked to 500 products. Thank you!
My friend has LYMPHODEMA- she has been over weight from LOTS OG EDEMA & she gained weight when years ago the dr.gave her cortisone (of course lazy docs go to) she has not been on that for years!
Thank you this comment gives me hope
On your advice, I finally saw a dermatologist about 1 1/2 years ago to get a diagnosis and treatment plan. I had previously been spending a ton of money and time on various supplements, etc. I just wanted to thank you for that advice! At 56 I'll never have what I had in my 20's. But at least now people no longer stare at my scalp when talking to me 🤣 Your one piece of advice led to a change in my daily life that I can't thank you enough for!
I have made an appointment with a dermatologist. Do you mind sharing what’s working for you?
Glad to hear 👍🏼

Thank you!

I tried to read as many reviews as possible of Nutrafol and Viviscal and decided on Viviscal because they not only got good reviews but only needed to take two tablets for a few months til you see results and then back off to one a day. Thank you for this review and your advice to see your dermatologist is the best advice. I jumped on the curcumin band wagon and then realized some has possible lead depending where it’s sourced. Hi Dr Dray So Excited to be here for Dr Dray time on Friday my favorite time of the day i live for this❤
Morning!
@ap

Have you looked at viviscal ? Not sure if it’s available to you but maybe check it out .
I have female pattern balding. 64 yes. Per diagnosis. I used this supplement over a year, didn't see
Great results for the price.
Thanks for looking at the actual studies, ingredients, and methods Dr. Dray!
Thanks for watching!
Morning Dr. Dray🌷and all watching. TGIF have a happy day!💟🌼
Morning!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi any updates ?
Try Dr Dray’s clarifying shampoo recommendation by Garnier. It was fantastic to help with hard water hair buildup. It’s fantastic!
@@molo8657 I’ll have to try that if I get it again. My dermatologist prescribed Ciclopirox shampoo and Halog solution to soften the seb derm. It was so itchy and traumatic.
@@molo8657 Which shampoo is that, please? 🙏🏻
I am so grateful for Dr. Dray. She’s been my anti-aging oracle since I turned 30. She always has the answers.
@@okAngelface then what is it for, it say's for more dense hair, that means "more" hair and it say's to help grow hair which indicates "length" 🤷♀️
It's expensive so not sure I will continue.
love you Dr Dray! thanks for all that you do! My ability to find and understand medical research is limited.
Thanks for watching
Have you noticed the rosemary oil helping? I just started using it.
Happy Friday!
What is botaflex?
@@mmarie1131 AKA Rogaine
I took it for three months. Went to a dermatologist and she sold it directly to me. I continued to lose hair. I stopped the supplement and started 5 percent minoxidil on my own and it seems to be working. In hindsight, I was disappointed to be sold a supplement directly from my dermatologist. Especially, since the less expensive, FDA approved minoxidil is working. I need to go to a new dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis.
My Dermatologist also told me to take Nutrafol, use rosemary oil, etc. I'm not confident it was good advice at all!
Yeah but I read erectile dysfunction in worst case scenario with prescription drugs can last up to 5-6 years in the worst case scenario
I was hoping you'd review this product. ☺ Thank you!
thanks for watching
Vert interesting. My hair loss also from stress and I’ve tried everything. I will try these vitamins. Thx so sorry for your loss
Thank you so much for this video. And all your videos. I trust/value your opinion, appreciate your reviews and you have saved me so much money.
You are so welcome!
“2020 because obviously” 😆😆 I hear ya.
Thank you so much for this information! I'm allergic to all seafood & taking this would be bad! Again, great video. Have a blessed weekend!
I noticed they now have a vegan version if you are still interested 😊
I watch all your videos whether I have that issue or not bc i always learn something.
Super transparent and informative, thank you. 😊
If you don't mind me asking, are you male or female?
@@chaseypoo17 female
I just started ViviscaL 2 Weeks ago. Here's to getting some more hair growth!
@@susanyakus7364 I hope it works for you. I forgot to mention my dermatologist told me it would take about 6 months to see a difference.
You do realise men and women can never really be friends!!
😂😂
I have been taking Nutrafol for two months now, and the thing that I have liked the most about it is I feel much less stress during the day
Does it contain hormones?
This video is so useful and informative. Thank you for taking the time to do this Dr. Dray!
Dr Dray you’re so informative. I’ve been on the fence about taking Nutrafol and have decided for myself against it. Thank you.
Thank you for your video! I have no deficiencies, but have been taking this for 7months for hair thinning & have seen significant improvement. It sucks that it’s so costly though.
Dr. Dray. Great information about this Supplement. What about Viviskal? I jus bought the product. Hopefully I didn't make mistakes. Thanks

Hi Jackie!! How are you and how was your day? I hope you had a nice one. I was off today and did a lot of shopping trying to get stocked up after the holidays. Boy, prices are ridiculously high! Have a fabulous weekend and I'll be thinking of you while I'm sipping my tea. ☕ Much peace and many blessings to you, sweet friend. 💟🙏💟🕊💟
My husband and I love you Dr. Dray :-) We love your scientific videos full of helpful information.
Love the Pink pineapple 😌
thanks!
Thank you Dr. Dray, for your informative presentation. Just subscribed and looking forward to more education. Thanks again! 🙋♀️
Happy Friday, Doc, and fellow Doc fiends!! 😁 My favorite way to start the weekend...a Dray vid!! 🙌
Morning!
Highly informative video! Thank you for posting this content.
Dr. Sam Ellis talks about vegamour in her postpartum hair video.
4 pills a day is way too much though
@@almaortega9261oh! I was about to try vegamour. You’ll have to just do the nutrafol then.
Can you ask your dad. What is the best way to stop hair thinning on top of the head. 25 year old. And I have curly wavy hair
Love your work, Dr Dray. thank you so much.
Thanks
I discuss this in my tretinoin videos
