- The rare Iridium Milk is one of the best and also most challenging items to acquire. I go through the steps from Secret Note 10 to the 100th floor of Skull Cavern with all sorts of helpful stuff along the way. Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always.
I thought this video was going to be about how we can get iridium quality milk from our cows, but I’m not disappointed.

Yeah so I made it all the way to floor 92 once and jumped into a shaft.
It took me 9 levels down.
I was put on floor 101.

Well, it's the equivalent of going defender in the fighter profession. Had it been more and defender would have probably been rendered completely useless (and it's already pretty meh as it is now)

@@nathanielgarza9198 If defender gave defense or damage reduction, I feel like that would make the profession a lot more worthwhile overall. Most people would still pick Brute most likely, but at least Defender wouldn't be completely useless

A word of warning, be careful about using shafts when you're approaching floor 100. I wanted to get there with no bombs and minimal staircases, and in one attempt I took a shaft at floor 95 or something and skipped right past it to floor 103 or something.

Exactly what happened to me. I didn't know it had to be exactly 100, so I didn't mind taking the shaft at level 97 or something (with enough stone to just make the ladders to 100 no less), then found out 105 doesn't count and there's no way back up. Luckily the next time I tried I made it to 100 at 1.40 am, after a clutch 13 floor shaft from floor 86 and one self-made ladder. It felt deserved, although the guy mocked me for using ladders XD
@@exantiuse497 Nice! I had waited till a max luck day and also had the lucky charm, and just kept restarting the day till I got it with no bombs and minimal staircases. I think I skipped past 100 around my 4th attempt, and finally did it after around 6 tries. Only used one or two staircases for when I ran into monster floors.

I definitely did it the staircase way. Had no idea he would judge me for it. I thought that was funny. I mean there was still a lot of hard work because I had to farm up all that stone...

Same, I was a little offended though :D I had tried to get down there with only a few staircases many times, but I only always got to floor 60-ish.
So I spent two days (as in, real-time days, not Stardew Valley days) farming stone for about 70 staircases, just to get judged by him for it

This is actually overkill DF,
Here's what you need:
A recipe for desert totem (or buy one)
30 Pumpkin soup + recipe (from Robin at 7 hearts, plant your ingredients in fall)
Bombs (150 max is enough)
Cherry bombs 50 max for small floors
Farm totem
Stairs 10 max for big dangerous floors
Use yoba ring and iridium band
Obsidian sword is enough
Iridium Pickaxe if u can
Prepare everything in a chest in your bedroom, wait for an extremely lucky day take everything you've prepared and teleport to desert immediately.
6am-2am is more than enough to go through 100 floors. Eaasy~
Pumpkins are quite valuable, but on the other hand, with a high enough foraging skill, the salmonberries found in spring is enough for multiple runs down to level 100. Blackberries also work in fall.
@@MineSweeper-bg8un sure yeah but the pumpkin soup is for the luck and other perks, not just food. Besides, eating salmonberries repeatedly is inconvenient while eating one serving of pumpkin soup can last u a while

I have a lucky ring equipped just for a luck boost
If you can’t afford all of that I recommend cooking a bunch of bean hotpots,
It only costs 4 green beans which are easy to get and come plentiful
And it gives you over 100 energy and a bunch of health too so it is a very good one if you want something cheap and easy, and if you have some leftover just give them to Demetrius, he loves them
Or just go botanist profession in the foraging skill and go hunt for salmonberries and blackberries. You get absolutely spammable food free of charge with pretty decent restoration stats
To top both of those, I use crystalariums to get lots of rubies which is free except for the first ruby and the crystalariums but it's totally worth it cos you can trade the rubies for spicy eels
If their less expensive than buying salads like I normally do, in doing that.

whenever i go to skull cavern i load up on cactus fruit up to iridium quality because they are easy to get in the desert or growing them at home...i never buy healing items.. lol but ur videos always the best. i always learn something new! keep it up DF ur amazing!
I tried once but got no luck getting the fruits, so I started to use cheese to heal whenever I go the to the cavern. I have a bunch of cows and goats so is really easy to get lots of cheese
Nice, I’m a sashimi guy, I capitalized on fishing traps early on and have tons of fish to make sashimi. 🤔
@@ZeroFksGvn Yep, sashimi is my game too. With only around 20 Crab Pots, and the Mariner skill (which is better end game, early game I went Angler) you can make about 20 sashimis per day.
salmonberries and blackberries with botanist profession are probably the best way to go around this

I believe I was on level 93 in skull cavern and it was 1:30 and I was almost out of energy it was g r e a t
You dont wanna know what happened to me... I was at level 98 when i was running out of energy. I accidentally drank beer because that day i gave shane a beer but had spare beer,.... I ran out of energy when i walked two steps.
Mining tip: gold star cheese. Goat or Cow. It's the perfect energy and health boost!
Long-time fan, here's an updated list with considerations depending on where in the game you are:
Early on:
- Hops as healing items, they produce every day so if you have a shed full of them or put out a great crop of them in summer, you can pale-ale the normal and silver quality and take the gold ones with you for healing. 81 Energy, 36 Health for the Gold, if you harvested a whole summer's worth or half a year of them in a shed you should easily have a whole stack of them
Mining King 1.4:
- Pick up all the Leeks you can find in spring, get at least one Eel, plant lots of Chilies in Summer and rush a fish pond. Put the eels in, let them reproduce and once they hit 10 fish them out (learned that trick from DF). Feed Wheels all the Leeks over time, get him up to 7 hearts, take Spicy Eel with you down there: +1 luck, +1 Speed and it stacks with coffee for extra extra speed
The way I did it:
- Robin coincidentally loves the same stuff like Leah, so feed her Goat Cheese whenever you can, plant a boatload of Pumpkins in Autumn as you should do anyways, treat yourself to Pumpkin Soup: +2 Defense, +2 Luck and 200 Energy/90 Health
Rest is the same as DF really, bomb a whole bunch, if you see a bad floor place some stairs, if you REALLY have problems with this spend 2 Million on the desert basilisk to give yourself 3 more hours to try.

Managed to get down to floor 100 for the first time today at around 5:30 pm, I was able to crunch an easy four hours by using a dessert warp totem now they are in the game. But another great tip is to take lots of coffee, the improved movement speed actually crunches a lot of time.
I bet Qi's Milk takes so good :P

Since I have basically everything automated on my farm and I have no need for any more ores, I spend all my time fishing and so I always have upwards of 70 sashimi on me at all times. It's pretty useful and you can make it with fish from crab pots too.
What I like to do for skull cavern is food buffing through mega bombs. Im on console so I'm not sure if this is patched by the multiplayer update, but eating something freezes the game in singleplayer but the timer still counts down and you are invincible so eat slightly after placing a bomb to take no damage and not have to move away from a potential ladder or shaft. Without using the journal glitch to not pass out I nearly reached floor 200 this way. I just use the seasonal foragables for food buffing since Salmonberries and Blackberries in particular are easy to get hundreds of
Yeah, this was patched with the multiplayer update. On PC bomb timers no longer count down while time is paused during the eating animation.

Once Gus actually walks behind the counter and passes the cash register shortly after noon, you can right-click the cash register to open his shop menu. He doesn't actually have to be there. This only applies until closing time, however.

All you need to do to get the egg is go to skull cavern and kill every dinosaur you see with the max amount of luck possible, I’ve gotten the egg twice, first time I put it into the museum then like yesterday I got another one from a dragon because I had found the dragon floor and that enabled them to spawn on regular floors

Having staircases on hand in skull cavern no matter what is a good idea. I keep one on my hot bar as my emergency ladder, because when the screen turns purple and the fish dragon things swarm in, you will die if you don't escape immediately. Also good for floors that are just monsters or have too many monsters. Keep one on hand so you don't die and loose all your progress.

Tbh I think that staircasing your way down is a valid strategy, work smarter not harder they say and I stand by that
Don’t know if it helps anyone but if you didn’t know you get a lot of good loot after floor 100, with the little time I had to spare I managed to get my hands on 2 prismatic shards so don’t miss your opportunity

I would recommend getting gold star Star fruits, the desert obelisk, return scepter, triple shot espresso, napalm ring, and master slingshot. Mega Bombs are of such short supply. Please note Qi counts how many stairs you use and he won’t give you the iridium snake milk if you’ve used too many stairs.
Also floors with a ladder or shaft already greatly decreases the chance of another ladder or shaft spawned by rocks
Overkill but it got me through:
Desert totem
Farm totem
Lucky Lunch
Lucky Charm
50 Salads
200 Bombs
999 Stone
Wait for the best luck day and eat the lucky lunch, and tp to the dessert immeadiately. Once there run towards skull cavern and start bombing, skip all the infested floors and when you start running out of Bombs the stones will help in making staircases. Keep going till you reach 100.
A very easy way to do this in the 1.4 update is to farm jades and trade them for staircases from the desert trader on sundays, then wait for a maximum luck day and eat a lucky lunch, very efficient and easy with max luck and lots of staircases.
