@@gravejello1063 I'll just say that if you ever lived a similar situation, those 8 minutes of storytelling + feelings hit different. And to me the looped beat fits perfectly with the feels. Just my 2 cents on why some people love It so much.
thats the thing about this album, you start out going "eh.. i dont know" but the more you listen the more it makes sense and by the second listen its you learn to love every song equally.
that's why I haven't listened it to the end yet. I'm a big fan of IGOR (but never was a big rap fan either Tyler fan) but this album is just a Flower Boy pt.2 to me
Especially if you went to one of his recents concerts, sounds so good live

I love how each transition works really well with any of the songs like even Momma Talk gets cut off but it still works. I think the only the only one that doesnt work would be Rise for that reason
Wdym that’s my favorite transition in the album because at the beginning of that song it’s his mom in the rhythm almost like a drum fill before the song starts
If I had to describe IGOR it would be li-fi but oppressive electric punk with soul and hip hop. As someone who likes electric elements in music and hip hop, no other Tyler projects topping the sound of that album. Call me if you get lost is probably my 2nd favorite though.
I remember flying cross the country to see my gf, and listening to this album. The vibes on here were immaculate while I wandered through the airport

The whole mixing problem with SIR BAUDELAIRE is non-existent and I think you just have the issue with most speakers, which is that the bass and beat drown out everything else. I listened to it just now when you said the mixing was bad and everything sounded equal
A lot of people don’t know that’s a west side Gunn song and Tyler told west Griselda is what got him back into the rap genre after Igor. So makes sense it’s the open for the album
