  • Although we all accept that causing a bruise from dermal filler or Botox injections is high on the list of possible side effects, it's still a heart-sink moment when you're merrily injecting away and you suddenly spot a shiner appearing.
    In today's Aesthetics Mastery Show, Dr Tim shares 16 simple steps you can take to prevent bruises occurring in the first place, as well as how to minimise their size once the worst has already happened.
    We also discuss how to explain bruising and aftercare to your patients so that they leave your clinic with the relationship intact.

    Made my day!! I felt awfully guilty and questioned myself of having done something wrong after having caused a heavy bruise the other day and the patient being very accusatory. I told her, that it wasn’t my fold, but she wouldn’t believe me and l probably lost her.

    Thanks. I have pretty severe bruising right now from filler in my lower face. That’s how I found this video. But I always bruise, so I don’t blame my Doc. But it’s good to know “the anatomy of a bruise”.

    Its either i bruise easily or my doctor is lousy. I just had my upper and lower blep done and i bruised horribly. I am still healing. Arnica didnt seem to work i had so much of it. Had lots juices and organic beef broth. Yes bruise is a pain cos it is disruptive to daily life. Thanks for the video lovelies.

    I rarely suffer with bruises from procedures. I had meso injections recently and have suffered with 20 purple flat spots on injection site on my forehead only, despite using the same product and gage needle previously without any marks left. I have not taken any ibuprofen or alcohol or anything prior. I am 54 yo and am not suffering with pain as a result or suffer with anything else. Have you ever seen this before and what can I do about it?
    I am scared they won’t go, but hopeful. Help.

    How long it takes for the filler bruise to disappear?

    • @DrTimPearce

      For some it can be weeks to a month. Depends how much bled, if it developed into a haematoma and if it was able to spread.
      Kind regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim

    Can I drink caffeine after injections if I have bruise

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  Год назад

      Coffee can dilate your blood vessels but it can only really affect bruising within 12 hours after a procedure and there's not much evidence towards it. It shouldn't affect a bruise that's already formed - David
