About the henna, there is no "fake" henna that leaves you with green hair UNLESS it's henna indigo used on bleached hair or when you have bleached the henna indigo dyed hair. Indigo is from barrow indigo (Indigofera Tinctoria) leafes and its pigment is black with blue undertone, it is used for those mixed that are supposed to be brown dyes, when natural henna leaves you with a foxy red color. Same as natural henna (Lawsonia inermis L.), it's a herb used to give the hair some color without damaging it BUT as all herbs used to hair care, it can turn the hair brassy. That's why people with more delicate hair should use it with MOISTURE like flax seeds gel or a humectant conditioner. The natural henna IS permanent, because in contrast to a box dye, which only surrounds the cuticle, it's molecule actually bindes with it and that's why it makes the hair so healthy, thick and shiny but still it can be washed out when the hair is really damaged and the cuticle is very torn, cause it's harder for it to strap at first. When the product has a henna extract, it can be semi- or demi-pernament, cause it function is a little bit different than a true herb. Hope that I helped a little! Love ya 💕

I watched this video and immediately ordered the Surya Brasil henna cream in light brown. I have very stubborn grays around my hairline and was skeptical that this was going to work. I kept the henna cream on for 90 minutes and it COMPLETELY COVERED MY GRAY! I'm impressed. Yes, this is more time than a typical box dye (you have to shampoo your hair, towel dry it, then apply the henna, then rinse it out) but so worth it. I typically have to go to the salon to get my roots done every 3 weeks. Now I'll be using this instead. Impressively, this did not cover my highlights--just the grays. Fingers crossed it also helps out with brassiness. Thank you Cassandra!!!

Hypochlorous acid is also great for the pits. It's less irritating than benzoyl peroxide. Also, it's easy to make at home, so you KNOW it's cruelty free. It's a great way to save some cash as well. Once you get a hang of the process, it doesn't take much time at all. The solution only lasts a few weeks, but the process is fun and rather satisfying.

Cassandra, here is the South East Asia , henna grows quit well , and all the grandmothers , mothers and aunts takes the henna leaves , makes a paste out of it and puts it directly on to their scalp , as henna actually cools the scalp down . Powdered henna leaves can be found too , there are brands that comes with the good quality , but there are also some which don't. So yeah , you are actually supposed to put the henna on your scalp if you want to feel the cold down sensation for a few weeks to about a month.

According to Cerave site, they do not test on animals. Doing a bit more research I found they are planning to have 90% of their products vegan by 2021... so, looking forward to when it happens. They have the best body moisturizer I have ever used (and that does not cost a eye!)

I’m Brazilian and I’ve seen this brand’s products in stores but never really tried them. I’m going to try them out since they are reasonably priced and cruelty free. I love seeing yours and dr drays recommendations but I don’t always have access to the same products you do. It’s great when I can buy some of the things you recommend.

I'm a big fan of Surya and used the henna for several years, primarily to cover grays on my temples. In fact, I've never used any other henna or chemical dyes. ( I've always liked the color and texture of my hair.) And then about 2 years ago, I noticed that I was getting bald patches along my hairline. So I researched it... and saw that others using Surya henna were experiencing the same thing. I stopped using Surya henna, and I'm glad to say my hair has grown back in its same natural thickness and strength. I'm definitely glad about that but sadly disappointed about Surya.

Henna is the best ! I never did a chemical dye in my life. The way you do it isn’t eco responsible. All that packaging for juste one time. I buy my henna powder in bulk and make mixes myself depending on if I want it more or less red, dark or even neutral, super super easy to do just don’t put Indigo on grey hairs without a layer off other henna on top once indigo washed off ( that’s what can go green). BEst way to cover greys :) and care for your skin

Head hair bonnet which she used is silk. Even I have curly hair and that really helps cos it's soft and protects the curl. However ur hair cap looks very plasticy. Does it have silk lining inside? 🤔

That extra dark brown on your hair wasn't only because you just bleach them before. It's common knowledge that box dye always turns out darker then they said. When I used to use it I always bought light brown or dark blonde to create the middle brown hair on my head. And that green tone on henna hair happend because added "things" into henna, to change it's color. Natural henna is red or without color at all. To creare brown or black henna they had to add an indigo, and that's what create all that problems you named. I start using copper shade from Voonoo (bio, vegan, cruelty free, and local for me 😉) and never had any problems with bleach (to my highlights). I even used bleach day after I used henna once, and no problem. That's because there is no indigo into Red shade.
Btw: Sorry if I sound nitpicking now. It wasn't my intention, just wanted to give you a few advices ☺️
