    Hello beautiful butterflies

    I am so sorry for anyone who has been victimized by this scammer. Please know I have contacted RUclips and am doing everything in my power to get them to stop. I recommend contacting your credit card company or the app you used to transfer funds to report that it was a scam.
    I will be monitoring comments and removing as many as I can but if I miss any please report them.

    To me, ageing positively is taking care of yourself. Your mental health, your diet, your relationships and in this case, your skin. I think it’s just accepting every little wrinkle and every little line while focusing on the fact that you’re able to get them, when a lot of people haven’t gotten the chance. But I do think it’s also important to acknowledge it’s okay to have negative feelings about them, because of this kind of marketing. We have “age gracefully!” shoved in our faces at the same time as “wrinkles are ugly you’re old buy our products!”

    As a very young person (20) whose routine consists of a lot of "anti-aging" ingredients such as retinols, hyaluronic acids and antioxidants, I still consider myself someone who is "ageing positive". Im in the camp of preventing ALL skin damage (especially UV) for health reasons as well as for aesthetic purposes. I want to prevent premature aging but when i start crinkling at the sides of my eyes and losing buccal fat I'm going to welcome it coming in at its time because that's just how bodies work. I will probably still use "anti-aging" ingredients but I refuse to be anti ageing . I look at my mother and see so much beauty in her smile lines and wisps of grey hair and forward to the privilege of looking as wise as I am when its my time. That's what ageing positive is to me but I'm not sure if this brand agrees with me on that one

    Unfortunately you lost me with this one and your views on honey. Beekeepers provide bees with a home, keep their hives safe from predators, parasites, and disease, and the honey they take is excess honey. Bees make WAY way more than the hive can use, and the excess (in the wild) gets dirty and attracts all of the dangers i listed above. Honey does not contain crushed bees. Beekeepers love and care for their bees as much as you love and care for your chickens. A beekeeper’s bees are no more enslaved than your chickens. Please do more research before saying such incorrect things about the art of beekeeping.

    • @ladycaticorn2950
      @ladycaticorn2950 2 года назад

      It's unethical to take byproducts from animals. It's not ours to consume, commodify, or use--that's the point. Also, commercial beekeeping does involve exploitative practices towards bees, which warrants further ethical concerns.

    • @megwhitlock238
      @megwhitlock238 2 года назад +4

      @@ladycaticorn2950 how do you exploit bees? Literally how? If bees are unhappy, they move. The queen will go somewhere else and the hive will follow.
      How is it unethical to give these creatures a home, safety, food, nurturing, freedom from disease and pests…and then take something they’re not using anyway, that if left intact will attract predators, dirt, parasites, and other problems for the hive?
      And none of that was the point she was making in the video anyway (since she says she takes her chickens’ eggs; wouldn’t that fall under these same bizarre ethics?), but instead she was spreading misinformation about “bee grinders” or whatever that isn’t even true.
      Here’s the thing: you’re anthropomorphizing bees in a very “Western” way, eg capitalist way, as in “we made the honey so it’s OURS and by taking it you’re STEALING IT.” That isn’t. Bees don’t. They don’t have a concept of ownership. And, like I said, if they didn’t like it they would leave. If a hive wants to leave you can’t keep them-unless you locked them in a room or something, and then they would die in protest. No joke.
      Please learn more about actual beekeeping from actual beekeepers and actual entomologists before you just believe the vegan/peta propaganda. I guarantee you 99% of what vegans will tell you about bees and beekeeping is completely wrong.

    Changes happen naturally with age, some of which have more of a cosmetic effect versus changes that actually affect our health such as the organs that keep us healthy and out of the hospital, like our heart and kidneys and yes, the skin. So for me I'd say that "aging positively" means taking care of your organs and maintaining your function as you grow older. I'm not trying to minimize how people feel about body image, rather that its unfortunate that we worry more about the cosmetic aging changes earlier. I'm not an exception to this btw.

    This is my first time commenting on one of your videos, and this is not meant to be cruel.
    But I do not understand what you are referring to when stating using bee-honey is cruel, and that the bees have been enslaved. I do however understand that it is a part of your lifestyle as a vegan not to eat honey and I respect that.
    But a proper beekeeper do not enslave their bees, the bees are free to do what they want, live where they want, eat what they want, and the honey harvested out of a thousand grams is small, it is but a fraction, and preferably honey is harvested during the spring. Most times, bees are less at risk living with a beekeeper than staying in a tree because the seasons are not always reliable, fires happen, climate change, trees get old, it rains to much, we use chemicals in the area where they live or we get them removed because some people are scared or allergic etc. Bees are so important for our eco-system, we will die without them, and the fact that there are people interested enough to take the responsibility in trying to save the bees, and they get some honey in return is probably more fair than them going extinct and we not seeing the importance of them.
    Here in Norway where I live, the production of honey is so that we can maintain the population of bees, garden flowers sold are bee- and insect flowers so that they have a chance of regaining their habitats or creating new ones. We also have laws created here to prevent illnesses in bees, it is regulated how they are to be moved, a beekeeper has to register and be certified and the authorities can come visit when they so wish, and the keeper can be given a fine or up to one year in prison or both if the laws have been violated.
    This got a lot longer than I wanted, I am very sorry for that, it is a topic very important to me. I am aware that not all beekeepers are kind to the bees around the world, but we as consumers should demand that kindness if honey is used in products and food. But refusing to eat or use honey will not fix the problem of the climate changing and the bees going extinct because of that change, and we (humans) therefore being the cause of the extinction of bees.

    I'm gonna hop in on the Vegan thing,
    I think it's great to consume less animal products, even if you're not vegan it's definitely a healthier choice. HOWEVER, in my opinion there's a big difference on HOW you source animal products. My friends keep sheep, every year when they have to shave the wool (you have to! Yes.) They extract and purify the lanolin to make lotions, they give the wool to my mother who spins it and turns it into socks, baby blankets, sweaters etc. Those sheep have a better barn than my house. I have a friend who keeps bees, he keeps their hives free of pests and safe from predators and adding to the healthy bee population (IMPORTANT!) when he harvests the honey he's sure to leave more than enough to keep them fed over winter. (Bees are wild- you don't force them to do anything. They make honey because that's what they do, if a wild hive makes too much honey they can't live they leave their hive and all the honey. Honey needs to be harvested regularly or the bees will overproduce and either leave or suffocate.)
    I think when you're talking about not using animal products it gets to be a very moral thing, but a lot of people put a lot of love and care into the husbandry of their animals, and I think it's more important to source your animal products from an ethical place than to cut them out entirely. Just a thought- ethical wool sweaters are organic and compostable and eco friendly- your acrylic sweaters are sending micro plastic hairs into the water every time you wash them and will never break down because they're plastic.

      You're trying to convince a vegan that it's okay to exploit animals and their byproducts; however, vegans think that it is unethical and immoral. Animals are not meant for us to consume, and we are not entitled to their byproducts no matter how much we love the animals or think that we take good care of them. Also, the vast majority of animal products available on the commercial market come from factory farming situations that violent, exploitative, and cruel, so telling people that the key to the problem is to just "ethically source" their animals is misleading. And yes, animal welfare/rights is a moral thing because animals are sentient beings with dignity who deserve to have autonomy and not be consumed or exploited by humans. Your entire comment advocates for the exploitation of animals for human purposes, which is what Cassandra addresses in her video. Please stop romanticizing animal commodification because you're uncomfortable with being called out.

    • @ajdean2974
      @ajdean2974 2 года назад

      @@ladycaticorn2950 ok but the commenter literally states that bees are not exploited. Existing and co-operating with animals is not "exploiting" them. Bees are NOT bred farm animals, they are not kept. Out of literally all possible animals, including our pets such as Cassandra's chickens, bees are some of the very few that /choose/ to work with us. If they are unhappy with the conditions of the hive, they leave. If the hive gets overfilled with honey, they leave. So beekeepers offer safety as well as cleaning the hive to convince them to stay. Bees have co-existed in symbiosis with humans for millenia, just as they have with other animals in the wild, such as bears. Relying on the natural world around us and what it gives us is not exploitation. If you think that eating honey or using it is exploiting bees, then you should probably stop eating most fruits and vegetables, because they are pollinated by.... bees. And MANY farmers keep bees specifically to help pollinate their crops. So if using their honey is exploitation, then taking and eating the literal fruits if their labor is definitely exploitation too, right?

It’s getting to “essential oils will cure cancer” levels of misinformation and toxicity. Vegan does not mean being healthy, being healthy does not mean good skin, and being vegan does not mean good skin. Yes, for some people, milk for example triggers breakouts. Yes, some people chug gallons of milk and have perfect skin. You can be a vegan and eat nothing but frozen vegan pizzas and oreos all day. You can be an omnivore and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. You can be vegan and have bad skin. You can be an omnivore and have good skin. And so on, and so on.

    Is no one going to talk about hand creams specifically marketed after the pandemic hit to replenish our hands that are constantly in contact with rubbing alcohol (sanitizers), when ppl can literally use body lotion. Honestly I need two separate moisturisers; one for the body and one for the face and associated regions due to preferance of different consistencies. You don't need to buy separate products for separate body parts. All of it indeed is protected by our skin with maybe difference in thickness of its component layers but not that drastically distinct from one another. Another reason might be fragrance for having separate moisturiser for face and body, otherwise it's the damn same thing and can be used interchangeabley

I find myself tuning out once I realize I’m again finding myself in the midst of the same 2 minute rant about why ‘eye creams are overpriced moisturizers.’ It’s just too much of the same content for me. Personally as a viewer, I don’t want to get my energy depleted because I’m made angry about someone using an eye cream. And yes, I watch your videos every day! And no, I’m not using an eye cream, but I recently noticed that k beauty brand Mizon are having different formulations for their eye creams and normal moisturizers. For example, in their Collagen line out of approximately 80 different ingredients used in both creams, only 15 are overlapping. From the first 6 ingredients, only water and butylene glycol are the same which are quite basic. Maybe you guys could make a video about the brands that actually do their research on eye creams because as you have probably noticed from your last video on eye creams, lots of viewers do keep on using them!

      It's completely fictitious. Bees are not intentionally killed during harvesting, that defeats the purpose. Some may have already died in the hive and not been "buried" by their fellows, and others may be accidentally killed just by the mere fact of moving parts but any good beekeeper takes every effort to avoid that. And bad beekeepers aren't beekeepers for long.
