    Several years ago I ordered Botox and it ended up staying on the delivery truck over night because our office was closed (June in Florida 🔥 ) . When I unboxed it, the dry ice was missing (not melted). I refused to use it on my patients and contacted my rep who had the science dept from Allergen contact me and told me that in an uncontrolled temperature environment, undiluted Botox is good for 6 months. Just an FYI. They did replace the vial for me free of charge and told me to throw the other one out (which I didn't do). I ended up using it on myself and my staff just to see if it was still effective and yes, it certainly was. But I didn't want to take that chance on my paying patients.

    I know this is two years old. The statistics show that during the pandemic there was more drinking, smoking, drug use and clinical depression. Many people lost their jobs or were home with their children 24/7 and still trying to work from home. The point is the stress level and the aging process are correlated. Nobody was going out or making them selves up, so expecting the same results that they had with Botox or fillers in the past may not have been a reality. As Julie Horne stated in a recent video of yours we are not magicians and do the best that we can with what we've got to work with. Thank you 🙂

      The vaccine causing that. As it’s a protein that breaks down toxins that are in the air. Which is why cases go up with the weather.

      @@DrTimPearce dude it’s the vaccine causing this. You know the vax is a protein. But it’s a protein that really cleans up toxic waste from the weather.

    It is always possible that the client/patient has developed a resistance. Failing that if the number of clients finding poor response has increased since the pandemic I'd be ascertaining if the client was vaccinated for covid. If they were; it is very possibly the vaccine seeing the toxin as an antigen and so it attacks it.

    we got the same problem in iran too
    i think something that was missing , is the stress level of patients and an increase in use of alcohol for cleaning of hands and face

      No most don’t unless you are in your 20’s or early 30s. It’s very normal
      For the 7 week mark that movement is returning as the receptors on the muscle wall are regenerating.

    How can a muscle that has been using Botox get even bigger than before when it has been relaxed for so so long? I don't understand that.

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  3 года назад +2

      It's the gap between treatments that allows muscles to grow.

    An interesting observation I made is alot of my friends had the same problem here in CA that were vaccinated. The botox isn't working & if it does it's a very short period. I , myself, didn't get vaccinated & after getting back on my botox every 3 months for 9 months I was back to normal & botox working good. Just an abnormal observation made. I wonder if this improves with time? 🤔

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  Год назад

      People do say this, but we found this problem before the vaccination programme had been rolled out, in the early part of 2021 so I don't think it's the vaccine. It could be the immune response to both the infection and the vaccine perhaps

    Hello there ! I got another one. After injecting I changed my every Day Cosmetik Routine a bit. I sprayed a slight amount of DMSO on the skin before massage. (which is juvenating ) BUT it loosens up paralysis 🙂, so, after 3 weeks all the movement was back. Bingo 🙂

    Hi! Thank you for all of the very informative capsules...
    Love you both...
    Here in Canada I am finding somewhat the same w clients...not all...I am thinking part of this “issue” may be in part d/t having more time to see ourselves in the mirror, we are more critical...also stress I believe is contributing...what do you think?

    Is woking out for less than 2 hrs daily, (45 mins of briskwalk treadmill, and 30 mins of jumping and 15-30 mins of pilates) 6x a week on a airconditioned room makes the botox wear off faster?

    Can injectors cheat with dilution of botulinum toxin at all? Thanks,

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  3 года назад +2

      yes- but there's no point in the long term because you lose your patients. Happens when people first start out, and usually because they try and be cheap or they are scared of side effects.

    • @SHYNALP
      @SHYNALP Год назад

      That is exactly what is happening! Especially with the "Mom and Pop" shops being run by RNs or RPNs
      -they offer specials to entice the customer/ patient. Over-dilute/ or do a scam reconstitution.. ..they keep the profit. It's very sketchy... AND COMMON. The whole process is turning into a grift. They don't care if they lose the client. Cause the specials keep new ones coming in. And plausible deniability excuses keep it going i.e. "everyone responds differently" "maybe it was a bad batch" and "you've built up a tolerance" and so on.
      It's just like being scammed by your auto mechanic or plumber or appliance repairman.
      Regulators should be on it. It's really a licensing issue. People are getting fleeced. You have to pay up and find a trusted injector. MD injectors are more on the up and up.

    How about from the time the Toxins from being ordered to the condition there are kept in whilst in transit ' could these alter the longevity too ? Also with Botox that need to stay refrigerated ' are they also kept in refrigerated transit ? I truly hope so 🙏.

    Great video guys! As a novice injector I note your comment about losing product on the surface of the skin! I’ve noticed the hub of my needle slipping from the syringe when exerting pressure on injection and thus product leakage and loss - any preventative advice for this ? Luer Lock syringe / depth of injection?

    • @j.8478
      @j.8478 Год назад

      a year late but ive noticed if there is a bit of resistance i.e pt is tense it increases pressure and can cause the needle to slip off the snug fit syringe to advance the a bit more, that usually does the trick

    • @cbc2780
      @cbc2780 Год назад

      get needle/syringe combo devices. the needle comes attached to the syringe and wont ever come off. I use BD 1cc 31 gauge 8mm for botox and 1/3 cc combos for dysport

    My inflammatory responce kicks in 2 minutes after I have botox (I've tried all brands) and my forehead becomes inflamed, this is meaning the botox dosnt work on me, do you have any suggestions on how I could combat this ?

  • @patricialopez5358
    @patricialopez5358 3 года назад

    Dr, I had 2 units of Botox into my crows feet and three units along my lower eye from medial to lateral. I have experienced puffiness, eye bags and what seems to be a droopy lower lid that fell to my cheeks. It has been 5 months since injection and only the puffiness has improved. I still see worse bulging creases when I smile (worse than before) and lines that trace my orbital rim to my cheeks. What should I expect now? What do you think happened and do you think this is reversible? Thank you very much.

      Everything returns to normal when left to it's own devices after Botox, you could speed it up by purposefully moving exercising the muscles.
