Who would ever think something from Fukuchi Mobile Suit Station would ever get a kit release? Well, ulterior motives or not, here we have one from that obscure art from the pages of the Model Journal magazine, the GM Spartan. Complete by mixing both the Master Archive and original illustrations, while implementing an original gimmick for its signature firearm. All this GM is missing, is a blue AI partner.

Never thought that HG GM Spartan will happen, but it did. Makes me hopeful for a P-Bandai HG High Boost GM.
Also shares the same designer who designed my favorite transforming MSes Flag, Enact, and Brave.
Hopefully so, fingers crossed. I never knew that Fukuchi designed the Flags, well, the more I know
One of the reason I love this channel (especially Gunpla) is that, review the vanilla product, then shown the painted/coated kit with full panel line (unlike Gaikotsu)

I just got this kit today and built it as well, it's such a cool kit so much to it while also not having the problem of there being left over weapons that you have to store somewhere. I am happy to add this to my GM army and honestly it's my favorite.
The particularly stubborn nub marks aside, I loved everything about this kit. I'm glad someone else loves it too
That ammo reload gimmick is pretty cool.
It's cool, fits right in with Halo as well

It's such a massive shame really, but I see their potential ulterior motive of selling more Code Fairy kits since a manga has come out about it. Not sure we'd get any other FMS designs as kits though

If you can you can still pre order for the July release on P Bandai USA. I was able to order 3 after missing other re releases and they had a one time coupon for free shipping. Well I live here to do that too. I just just checked and they are still up to order.

I'm glad I got this from Peebs. I snagged two (should be three but I came up short) because it's a grunt suit.
I can't wait for the Renato Germi version, too. Hopefully...
They set themselves up for it, but it'd probably be years until they decide to take advantage of the gates
Just built mine today. I originally built the HGUC GM Sniper II back around 2012 and the K9 in 2014 and was underwhelmed both times because the kit felt overall worse than the GM Custom preceding it. Although I was worried about the Spartan suffering due to the lackluster base kit, I'm pretty pleased at the result. The only unmodified joints are the knees and hips, which were probably the best joints on the base kit. The increased articulation in the waist, elbows, and ankles doesn't make it on par with the most flexible HGs or anything, but it's more than enough for the Spartan IMO. It also feels much more solid, especially the wrists. I just took out my GM Sniper K9 to compare and got reminded of how awful the HG 00 polycap wrist sockets were. Also really appreciate how the leg armor no longer clashes with the ankle armor. This feels much more like a late 2010s HGUC kit rather than the disappointing release that was the HGUC GM Sniper II.
I did find it funny how Bandai decided to give us an extra hand guard for the original Sniper II right trigger hand when they sometimes don't even give us enough handguards for all the actual hand options on certain kits.
The joints are the only thing that "ages" this thing, since the rest of the kit is brand new. I'm so satisfied with it it's in my top 10 kits of 2022, and I'm glad you echoed that as well
Remove the backpack and look at the slot on its back. I just noticed it on both of mine trying to figure ways to customize. The slot is the same as on the pale rider and other rider kits. That connector piece for the extra equipment fits perfectly. The backpack is even designed for the perfect amount of room underneath to add extra equipment on it. Check it out in yours. They didn’t mold that in for no reason. Variants are definitely coming.
That is indeed interesting. I do wonder though, were there any GM Spartan variants that use that brace?
@@mj2005gundam I don’t know if there were any that used that brace but maybe it may be a different type of piece because the black dog variant with the Gundam type head did use duel pistols that came from the back. I think the back skirt but maybe they’ll change it to use a special piece to holster them onto that. Also there are some that used bazookas that may attach back there.
That definitely makes me curious on why they didn’t use the Pale Rider as a base for this thing instead of the GM Sniper II. The Pale Rider has better joints that don’t need to be bootstrapped to give a double joint. Like, if they’re only going to reuse the joints from an older kit, then why pick one specific to the unit’s lineage when you can pick a frame with good mobility? It’s the same thing with the Tristan, though not NEARLY as egregious.
So happy I grabbed one from peebs last reprint. I'll probably paint it a more stealth color scheme though since I'm not a fan of military green.

Master Chief got ruined after all the epic adventures he had over the last 30 years or so. I'd just hate for another Spartan to suffer from bad writing again

Bro I’ve been waiting for this specifically bc of code fairy after seeing the black versions of it like holy this thing is amazing, it also looks amazing and now that it’s here I can now add another gm to my full on custom rider lol
Eyy, glad you liked it. I fully bet the Code Fairy variants would be like a '24 '25 release, especially with all the gates set up for that
I'm just trying to imagine a Gundam version of the Spartan. The visor could be lifted up, like what the GM Sniper has, to reveal a Gundam face underneath, for starters. And also add in the various GM armaments for additional accessories, as well as the laser bazooka that certain Doms carry to act as the Spartan Laser.
I could imagine that someone mixes the Gundam Re-Rage with this, armed it with a beam bazooka and completely go to town
@@mj2005gundam And maybe also add in the GM Sniper Custom for the beam handgun and multiple weapon hard points for a wide and varied loadout.
Perfect, now all we need is GNX striker, red berret, and command qant to make a perfect green military army's squad. 👀

GM Spartan however is amazing, I loved building this kit.
Standard GM might be locked behind the Origin line, then again, it's not the original original. Bandai just never gives a damn about them
The color looks great did u top coat it or something, all the other vids I’ve seen it’s just been super dark green
Towards the verdict, I did topcoat it. It's as it is out of the box for the rest of the video

They've basically set themselves up for the other variants, so I don't see why not.
And based on what I've read while doing the research, yeah, the Spartan came before the Sniper II
@@mj2005gundam I see, then depending on how recently the Spartan was rolled out, that might explain why the Black Dogs settled for the GM Sniper Custom among their ranks rather then the 2.
For all we know, the Sniper 2 hadn't finished production yet.

amazin mj best review yet cuz i could hear how excited and in good mood you were in but as always please do share what kind of back pack connection the kits have as here are a lot of accessories we want to equip on this badass kit like the gattling gun i can equip with the backpack and make it a war machine

I have a question, how easy is it to remove the visor from the head?
Quite tough. You basically have to use a knife and be careful with it. I pried it out from the top edge, and that isn't the most foolproof way to approach it as it still comes flying off
I found this on pre-order again for about $30. Is it worth that price tag?
If you're based in the US, it's actually not far off from the P-Bandai US price, so go for it
Does it have the same color for the GM k9? Can it use the shield from the GM k9?
The Sniper K9's paint is a more pastel green with a bit of army gray, so they're not the same color. Also, the arm attachments are completely different, so the shield of the other Sniper variants will not fit in the Spartan
What Decal are you using for the chest part and the number?
The Federation logo on the chest comes with the kit, but the "117" I stole from the water decals from the Red Giants set, since they're white instead of the gray from the Ground GM

Do you know of any High Grade GM kit that has a yellow or orange visor that can replace this blue one? You know, for obvious reasons.
I'm sure there's more out there, but the one that immediately comes to mind is the GM RR from the Red Giants, which do have leftover visors

@@armydude102 the GMs are identical between each other save for weapons, while the Gundam RR has a unique visor. Might be worth checking out my video on the set

The black one is the GM Spartan [Black Dog Use], while the one with the Gundam-like head is the GM Spartan [Renato Germi Use]
