Great flights with the new Skywing Edge 540. It looks light in the air and very responsive, especially with TJ chasing his tail. I noticed both of you were pushing to try new things, great job.
Ovonic batteries are great. I use them alot for cars and planes. Amazon has little dischargers with a xt 60 connector, 10 bucks for 2. Just plug in and it takes down to a storage charge. Easy.
I absolutely LOVE my 48" PP Laser, even with my rediculously affordable Hobbystar motor, Hobbywing Skywalker ESC, and cheap Emax digital MG servos! I actually enjoy flying it MORE than my 60" EF Laser EXP, with all the high end electronics! 😁👍✈️
T motor makes some solid motors I had a little t motor drone motor like a 2204 3450kv motor and ran it on 4s and that little micro motor would fly a 42 inch profile edge plane I made from scratch and it would fly aggressive 3d effortlessly with a 30 amp hobbywing micro esc....proble 65 grams between motor and esc I was impressed....I want to get a big one and put it on my extra 300 and see what happens I was impressed...and thanks for the video I have been looking at this plane and also a laser from skywing of the same make....balsa with foam covering....look like a good practice plane....step up from little foamy profile planes but less worried about destroying it because it's cheap and easy to repair.....just wanted to see it fly.
We had same thoughts as well about being inexpensive and learning. Now that I am more comfortable with it, it's really awesome plane. Check out some of our shorts (videos). It really makes me want one of their larger, nicer skywing planes.
