72 hole challenge in St Andrews - Round 1 // The Strathtyrum

- Welcome to CGgolfs! We're Cam & Georgina, a golfing couple living in St Andrews 🏴
We set out to take part in The Big Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK in late June 2024. We chose to do this challenge on our doorstep in The Home of Golf over the Strathtyrum, Eden, Jubilee and Old Courses.
We were playing in a greensomes format to allow us to film each and every shot of the 72 holes and this video is the 1st of the 4 rounds. This took place on the Strathyrum; the shortest 18 holes course in St Andrews. Our goal, alongside completing the challenge, was to finish cumulatively under par for the 72 holes 👀

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. It is not always life-threatening, but when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured. If you’re over 50, or you’re black, or your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk.

Thank you. We are lucky we both practice these shots a lot so try to get our distance control and chipping on point
Honestly just 15 mins after each range session goes a long way with shortgame! I also tend to use one or two clubs with stock shots, nothing too fancy just reliable and repeatable. Glad you're enjoying the videos 😊

Are you both scratch golfers?
We're both +2! Cam is +2.4, G is +2.1 although Cam has been getting lower over the last few months and G has got slightly higher. We've both re-started lessons as we've got out of the habit of playing focused competitive golf which we're wanting to get back into going forwards :)
