Perry is proof that the UFC is not the end-all be-all of success, he was never treated as more than a midcarder in UFC and they didn't promote him properly, now he's a bigger star since leaving.
Let's be real.. Perry most likely wasn't gonna be much in MMA. He found his proper home. I'm a big Perry fan, never betting/hoping against him.
didn’t promote him properly lmao. he’s a journeyman. just because you like what he’s saying or find him funny, doesn’t mean he should be a superstar in the ufc.
he LOST every time the lights were bright, so he got released. no rocket science. he would be like tony ferguson if he stayed in the ufc. except tony fought best of the best and perry would fight someone’s gardener and plumbers like 90% on his record.

They’re doing good job of selling this as a real fight … it ain’t, but kudos on Perry for convincing himself he hasn’t already been paid to fall down.
Also the 30 lb PLUS weight difference between the two fighters!! 200+lb heavyweight vs 170lb middleweight labeled a "cruiserweight" fight. Huge mismatch
