This truly made my soul sing!!! This is the dream I have been envisioning for many years! I need to learn more about this and what living in this paradise is like. I am a healing expressive art therapist and I know that I would make a helpful and positive difference in a community such as this! Perhaps this would be a beautiful place to share my many gifts, love and energy!
As screwed up as things are in the bigger world, communities and concepts such as this show that there ARE solutions. There IS hope! Thanks for posting this great video.
Thank you Pete for an exceptional vid! Now that is what i call paradise. Light and love to all you beautiful souls making this planet a better place to be one garden at a time :)
"Can't go on wasting all this good 💩" .... That quote is pretty much gold! I hope the laugh factor helps it stick in people's minds. He says it in such a way that is both hilarious and profound.
Ahh man, this may be one of my favorites from you guys yet!! Such a pleasure to watch! Stephen Brooks has done some amazing work down there in CR! An awesome person with a great message to share!
I wish someone would build something like this but smaller homes an less expensive, It would be great too retire but the huge home burn up energy lifestyle is what I would want to get away from. With all that community use areas I would just need a 1 or 2 bedroom with a great patio funded by retirement income. Great video, very inspiring.
Steve AnacortesWA I’m working with a developer building turn key home sites with food forests, spring water and modeler home design. The main house would 750 sq ft with 750 sq ft porch. This are designed to easily add an addition. Pricing starting under 200k with everything. Email if you would like more information. Greendreamsfl@yahoo.com
Overwhelming abundance, magnificent system and community layout, Stephen. Pete I'm feeling very spoilt being able to view these beautifully produced and informative videos of places I am very unlikely to be able to get to, in person. Thank you.
This was one of the most enjoyable videos I've ever watched. The stonework is really beautiful, the plants (the bamboo 16:13) look really healthy and the biogas processing is amazing! The water features are pretty phenomenal, too. The whole place is gorgeous (wow that teak yoga space!) and very inspiring. Thanks, Pete.
Vivo en Costa Rica soy tica y mi pareja y yo tenemos una propiedad en Cobano y sueño con algo así es bellísimo!!! Felicidades!!! I live in Costa Rica My partner and I have a property in Cobano, nearly of Montezuma and I dream with something like this!!! Congratulations!!!
Interesting place, awesome awesome video wonderful ideas..harmony .. amazing and beautiful the videos are so amazing I got excited when I saw that there was another video uploaded
so cool! i know that many cities around the world already convert the sewage into treated compost and then sell it, however it's kept hush hush for obvious marketing reasons
My son's(father's side) family is from Guatemala on the border of El Salvador and the Marañon fruit(cashew fruit) is diced up with apple into water and we make a drink out of it called "Ensalada". And when you're done you can eat the fruit out of the bottom. At least I do! :D
That's a nice place. It looks like they could just air dry the mangos as hot as it is down there and use the methane to cook with and make biochar. I have never used biochar for anything, but I just started making some to try to make energy dense batteries. Activated carbon from hemp is supposed to have as great an energy density as lithium ion, I don't have any hemp right now and don't know the exact process for activating it. The whole idea with these types of batteries is they are not harmful to the environment and they should be a lot cheaper to make than to buy batteries. Thanks Pete that was a great tour, I just missed it when it came out.
Stephen, las personas pobres con cultura, podemos vivir en esos lugares trabajando en murales, construcción, costura, cocina, limpieza, etc. I can speack English, I love animals and plantas, soy Ana Leticia de Costa Rica🌳🌱🕊️🐸🙏🕯️🤗
Another great video. Love the chill hop in the background. Perfect soundtrack for the tour. This is better than the hippie commune concept. This is a hybrid of that concept. Really cool.
To answer your doubt about cashews from India The sunny state of Goa produces quality cashew nuts and the fruit, turned into delicious alcohol. Very country style, but spot on.
When I envision a good world this video what I see! My hope and dream is to make a community like this in the United States! Thanks for this series! Just realized I haven’t subscribe yet! I’m subscribe now :) “All from shit man all from our poop” This guy is epic!
I grew up in India around cashew plantations. We mostly fed the cows with the fruits, ate them, sometimes sold the fruits in the street corner. Most of the time when we collect the fallen cashew, the fruit is already rotten or dried...feeds the soil!
"The most unbelievable fertilizers come from our ass"... Very true and funny the way he said it! Cool video, cool place to live! Make room for me... I'm coming home!
I would love to know more about the community aspect? Who takes care of all the gardens? Who cleans the school house and builds the community spaces? I'd really like to hear more on that, how do you come to collective agreements? Who harvests and collects and then distributes all the fruit? Thanks!
@@JonathanBaileyn2u it could always be a good follow up video, talking about the community aspect of living a life like this. I live in an off grid permaculture community in Maui and it's really interesting how things work from the inside.

I watched the Zack scrim down to earth episode about this community and the funniest Part was when Stephen was showing the “communal garden” that conveniently had all baby new different plants like they had just been planted. Total coincidence I’m sure for the show lmfao.
Hi, it’s sooo beautiful! I wish I could have a nice property like that! Do they have a fig tree, persimmon tree, blueberry and bitter melons in Costa Rica? Thank you so much.

This is very relaxing. Your music choice is very good
Type beat is amazing. Some songs have words. But its mainly repeat beats. So soothing! I downloaded some to the iPod for working in clients gardens.
