    Admitting a mistake is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of humility. It shows an awareness of one's knowledge and the need to nurture that knowledge. Never apologize for your lack of knowledge to anyone other than yourself. Strive for the betterment of your knowledge, and the rest will fall into line. You inspire!

    Hello Emerald and Jade I hope you are both enjoying the warmer weather. Emerald a couple of videos ago you mentioned the debarker fling stuff at you and while safety gasses may protect your eyes the rest of your face may suffer. So my suggestion is to get one of those clear plastic head mounted screens Nurses and Doctors were wearing during Covid, they tip up so you can wipe your face or drink coffee and they fit under the ear protection plus they give you better vision than safety glasses and your eyes wont sweat. Have a great week and I'll watch you next time🙂🌻🌻🧡

    Emerald, I've been unable to watch your videos for several months, but now I am back online. I am glad to see the addition of the new mill, and I am really glad to see the addition of the Live deck system. With the previous system I got the willies just watching rolling those logs to the mill. The potential for injuries was actually fairly significant. So glad to see that your parents are taking every opportunity to protect their precious daughters. Hope you ladies have a wonderful and productive spring. Stay safe, ladies. By the way, we sure do miss Sami.

    When you mentioned that the hydraulic pump doubles its volume when the blade is running it made me wonder if the blade is powered by the hydraulics or direct drive from the diesel engine. It would make sense if it runs off of the hydraulics since it would take the potential strain off of the diesel when you run into hard spots in the log. Is this a correct assumption?
    As always, I enjoy every installment of your videos. I look forward to whatever you ladies are up to. I love the fact that you are not only working in what most people would consider a "man's job" you thrive in it. Thinking up new and different promo items on offer will definitely increase you brand recognition. Keep them coming.
    I look forward to your next episode. Keep making sawdust.

    • @scottsoper
      @scottsoper 16 дней назад

      The blade is run by belts off the engine. There is no worry about the hard spots because of the high torque of the diesel engine. It is the engine increasing rpm the turns the pump faster moving the oil faster: result 8gpm going to 14gpm.

    Obviously you are gaining valuable experience on this bigger machine, but something you’ve had for a long time is the orientation of any log’s first cut position! This will in turn give you the best board/foot ratio and most profitable outcome! So we may/ may not see you tweaking the individual logs rotation point for the all important first cut!? Perhaps you could do a video on your eye/ positioning start point, that I assume must matter to a fair degree! I look forward in hopeful anticipation! Cheers

    I've said it before, I'll say it again. I like that the large majority of pre-cut log handling is now done by the equipment. That includes using the loader to load the log deck. After final cut handling isn't has dangerous, so no immediate need there. Nicely done.

    Number one young lady, be safe! Im glad your wearing the ear protection. I am 55 and did labor work all my life. I was around loud machinery alot and did NOT wear hearing protection and also was in a band in the 90's. I now suffer hearing loss and it stinks! Also, i would make an area around the saw where as if anyone is in that area, they have to wear it also. I gotta tell my wife about the coffee...that is exciting!!!😊

    It is always a good idea to wear ear protection around noisy equipment. I spent 25 years working around jet engines and loud crude oil pumps I always made it a point to wear ear protection sometimes double. (Plugs and muff s. At 78 I still have excellent hearing.

      @@Otherrandomguy42 at first I was taken aback by your reply, but then I thought I would give an answer.
      The reason its pointed out, is that due to the rarity. Today, you dont see this type of person often. Most who posses beauty like that, are vapid and focused soley on fashion and sexuality. These girls are living a family life, working hard, learning, getting their nails dirty and leading by example.
      They are inspirational to many other young women who come across their content.
      perhaps when people are scrolling, and they see these young ladies, they will watch their videos and learn and take after them instead of the worthless sexualized videos that are so prevalent by attractive women all over social media.
      attractive women are a dime a dozen. Young Smart Hard working Ladies like this are very rare. They and their caretakers/family deserve credit for whats been built and raised.
      Comments like this put things into the ether, into the algorithms.
      one comment doesnt make a difference but eventually, that one comment spreads, and spreads, and spreads, then young ladies like this go viral instead of the latest thing a lardassian has done
      inted out, is that due to the rarity. Today, you dont see this type of person often. Most who posses beauty like that, are vapid and focused soley on fashion and sexuality. These girls are living a family life, working
      and honestly, depending on how the 18 year old guy is presenting himself, I may have similar compliments for them too. My compliments have no agenda to try to flirt or get with this girls, they are true compliments and should I see any young men deserving, I will give them their praise too.
      We all need to start doing that, Hoist the good upon our shoulders and ignore the chaff as it falls to our wayside

    Hi, Nice demo on your new super fast mill. I love the shot of you framed by the mill. My suggestion, If the speed of the live deck is too fast, ya may contact Woodmizer, they're maybe a way to program the computer to a slower speed on the live deck. If not maybe a flow bypass regulator for the fluid lines going to the live deck to keep it at a desired speed. Thanks for the video.

      They need time to get a good production system going. That may affect how they build the roof. For now they could take time to build a better temporary tarp system so they can be out of the rain. Also I think it may be good to get the operator's shack built.

    I bet that if you look carefully, you should find that there are flow control valves that can limit the flow rate to the various cylinders and actuators. They are usually located in the return lines from each cylinder back to the tank. They usually only reduce the flow in one direction. This way you get full force from the input side and control the speed on the exhaust side. Take a look or get your Gramps to take a look. This might reduce the chance of speed caused difficulties. You can also check with Wood Mizer. You can adjust the speed back when you find it is slow after your learning interval.

    • @scottsoper
      @scottsoper 16 дней назад

      I am not a sawyer, however I believe that what you should get depends on what you are doing and your pocket book. There is no question that the LT-70 is a better machine than the LT-50. More HP, bigger blade wheels, longer heaver blade, more things are hydraulic instead of electric and if you are doing this as a business then the production will be a lot higher. I am assuming that business production is what you need and that you need a portable unit or like LCLY, you don't have or want to use electricity. If you are a single person operation then you would put the controls on the end that the boards end up on if you have to stack each board as it comes off the mill. If I were doing it by myself, I would still get the live log deck and the sawdust conveyor if I were not actually moving around. These are my opinions based on my understanding of machinery, motion studies and from watching people mill lumber on RUclips. I would also consider a transfer table and a long green chain so that I could concentrate on running the mill and then stacking and sorting the lumber. I would also get a longer live deck. The goal would be to run a couple hours and then reload the live deck and stack the lumber from the green chain.
