Just installed my RBP Stealth Running boards on my 2018 Ram 2500 CTD. It's a simple install. If you've ever taken apart the interior of a vehicle and wrenched on a motor not a big project. The wiring loom connectors were very well made and it was easy to work with. Plenty of zip ties for this project are included!
I took about 5 hours to install with the extra help from my 5 year old son in my garage. What I found to be the hardest part of the install was threading the motor mounting bolts into the back plate that sits inside the Ram frame. If you have the factory nuts inside the frame I'm sure it's much quicker. One simple change I'd make for the wiring is to have the passenger side magnet contact wire moved to the passenger side of the wiring loom. Drill through that floor and connect near the B pillar on that side. Currently, it goes through the driver side floor. Having it routed through the passenger side floor would prevent having to fish it under the seats and console inside the truck. I'd say it would be a cleaner install.
These steps have been sturdy and are very clean system. No adjustments needed and they work great. Happy I cancelled my AMP order and bought the RBP running boards. Oh and I don't have to buy a splitter for my OBDII port.

Ok, maybe “attention to detail” were the wrong words to use for what I was referring to, but not having to add magnets and just having to “plug and play” with the amp steps makes it seem easier to install. But your steps look amazing and your video are very enjoyable to watch.

Ryan, glad you had a great experience with these boards. Mine was not so good... had to use the plates they provided and chase the threads on ALL of them, not to mention the 2 bolts that go through the pinch weld on all the motors, which I had to drill out because I had no holes. This should have been a 3 hour install like you said but the garbage I had to work with made it much more difficult than it had to be. The wiring was the least painful I have ever dealt with though which made it easy to button up. My wife has a JKU that I'll be putting these on...I sure hope they do a little quality control with their hardware like they have with their wiring harness!!! Thanks for the heads up on these boards though...they are nice when you wade through the b.s.!!!

Just installed my RBP Stealth Running boards on my 2019 Ram 2500 yesterday. They look great but really wish @Rolling Big Power would have designed/planned these a bit better on the gas models. That front motor and assembly hits the frame mounted vibration dampening unit on both sides. Reality is if they would have just built it with the motor on the opposite side of the assembly it would have cleared. Other than that, install was fairly straight forward and the quality seems to be much better than AMP. Assemblies seem much more heavy duty.

Questions 1) What is the drop with those installed? I have a 6inch lift with 35s. Stock boards are just not cutting it.
Question 2) I’m worried about the wiring that could be kicked, or pinched. I have a kid and dog in and out all the time. Please let me know about and wear of tear on them.

After watching this, I wish I would have bought these instead of the amp steps. The amps were such a pia to install. It required very precise alignment to prevent it from hitting the bottom of the cab. Not to mention, I paid 1300 shipped and it has one less motor than the RBP's.

Matt McQuigg they’re the same running boards and wiring with motor’s that drop 3” further! I know this an old video but in 5:10 you said that if something goes wrong, they RBP will ship overnight, I am having an issue with the install motor that does not work and I tried to contact the company. I sent several emails, made phone calls, included video, invoice and still no response. I contacted the vender and told them to put pressure on RBP to send me a new motor. They assured me that I can get a full refund. I will know more next week. As of December 10, 2022 and it's been 6 days since.
