First off, very well made video. Secondly, I am building my first AMD rig right now and ended up choosing the AMP version of the video card, even though I wanted to support AMD and get one of their GPUs. Two days later, I hear about the Radeon RX 5700/XT release and immediately bought the non XT version, since I wanted to stay around $350 for my GPU. Now I have both GPUs here and can NOT for the life of me figure out which one I want to keep and which one I want to return. I have gone back and forth with my choice about 5 times now. I do not have much experience at all with custom builds and was hoping someone could shed some light on the pro/cons of one GPU over the other. I will say that after watching this video, I am leaning back towards the RTX 2060. Either way, thanks for the quality review
I hope you see this comment man. Just want some advice to maximize the rtx 2060 at an affordable price. But this is my current set up as of next week. ATX Build: Zotac RTX 2060 amp 3.3GHz i5-3550 intel quad core processor 8GB GDDR3 Ram Some people are saying upgrade to a i7-3770k CPU and get 16GB but I’m not sure. I can’t afford a i7-8k CPU right now.
I mean if you want to throw a 2060 in there that's cool but you're going to want to eventually overhaul that whole thing. I don't think the i5 to i7 of the same generation is going to be that much better for you in gaming. I mean with those specs I'd scour the used market for like a 1070 or 580 for as cheap as you can find it and get some solid 1080p gaming. The 2060 just doesn't make all the sense with that particular build
I feel you, I think the thing is a lot of people had it being the replacement for the 1070ti so the difference should still be there...it is but not by very much.
Whatever you want.. There isn't a specific cpu manufacturer that makes the difference paired with the rtx 2060. You can watch some benchmark videos if you want to have more clear ideas.
The reason your fps are very similar is because your resolution is too low causing a bottleneck. You want higher resolution to fully test which GPU can push the most fps.
I understand the process of bottlenecking but I also like to test on realistic builds. These guys who can throw lower range card on an over blown rig to test can't really give me an idea of what it will be like on regular builds. I will definitely try test at different resolutions in the future. I appreciate it fam.
Would it be possible to send you a sheet on my pc and you to give me some good recommendations on upgrades? I am a console gamer who bought a prebuild for 1 grand. Honestly with that rig you'll be good to go in most AAA titles in 1080p at varying levels of med/high settings for a while. I probably wouldn't really mess with any of the RTX features but DLSS is not bad in games that utilizes it. Honestly, the first thing I'd change about your system is getting an SSD or NVME drive.
