Good build series. To many channels make it look simple.

Than you. Really appreciate it. Yeah, it’s definitely not simple haha to be completely honest. I’m surprised that I was able to complete it! But I really love BBQ so I guess it was just in the cards.

Hey sir. First of all, looks really good! I built a 120 gallon myself. At first I had my collector coming into my pit just like you. I know it’s a pain but I would cut the access metal in the smoker from the collector so it is rounded inside. It made a huge difference with airflow. I hope this makes sense. The air was getting trapped from the flat metal on the collector. Cheers.

Hey there! Thank you. And that is awesome and a huge undertaking. Congratulations. you know after I got that thing welded in there. I was wondering how much it would affect it. I haven’t cut it off yet, but I have been thinking about it! Thanks for letting me know That helped you a lot really appreciate the insight!

And it ain't going anywhere. You need to trailer that thing, bud. I'm sure you've got plans and just couldn't wait to start cooking. Looks great, man.

That's an impressive smoker. I like the hinge design for the stack. Are you planning to put it on a trailer to be able to move it around later?

Thank you! I actually got that idea from looking at Moberg smokers. Got to give credit for credits due haha. Yes definitely looking at getting it on a trailer. I think I’m gonna have a local metal shop Build me a trailer seeing that that will be the cheapest option.

my dream cooker..did u watch the aaron franklin vid. on how he did his...how did u determine the size of hole to cut for firebox?...is there a reason for a bigger or smaller hole? very cool series of the build....thanks for sharing

Not gonna lie I’ve really enjoyed cooking on Zeus!! It is my my dream cooker as well. lol yes I have seen that episode… after the fact I had already did mine haha. To be completely honest, I just kind of eyeball. It got it up there and then just kind of kept cutting until I got it to fit. The bad thing is the first cut I made was too big and I had to add material back in totally could’ve took more time and did a better job, but I really just needed to get it together! And thank you! Love the questions and thanks for checking out the channel!
