      @samv1010 I feel for you. Regardless of how you're doing now, I know injuries are hard. The sense that your body failed you or you failed to prepare your body. I hope you're doing well. If you did have to go the surgery/rehab route face it head on with passion, patience, and positively. There are also ways in some college sanctions to regain a year of college eligibility after being sideline due to injury.

      Sorry to hear that. I don’t know what you have already done for it but I would recommend about 2-4 weeks of rest, and then physical therapy to help strengthen the surrounding structures. You can also do some exercises at home that can help alleviate some of the symptoms. Here are a couple videos that we made that show you some of those exercises. Hope these help!

    2 weeks ago I woke up with right elbow discomfort focused on the point on my elbow. I figured it was sleeping on the arm awkwardly. We all have done that, right? The soreness lasted several days which is unusual because my elbow has never felt pain previously.
    When walking up the stairs as I pushed off the rail with my right arm, I heard a pop sound. That was about 10 days ago now.
    I noticed when I flex my elbow I can hear a "crackling noise" and when I flex my elbow I do feel pain.
    The pain is much more prominent when I flex my elbow.
    Any thoughts?

      @connergalles7106 damn whered you find this information? Literature from the fukin 1930s? Bro any good doctor and exercise science student from this time knows that movement is the key to healing injuries. It's called active recovery, it has more positive influence in injury rehab than completely not moving, moving in a way that doesn't aggravate the injury. Clicking mouse barely activates the muscles connected to the ucl site. Stretching alone won't help stabilization of the joint, it requires EXERCISE, to strengthen

    I had a high grade partial tear diagnosed by MRI 3 years ago… I didn’t get surgery and got stem cells and got better but I okay tennis as my job and I never allowed it to heal fully I guess but I did rest it for two months.
    Anyways my question is the pain is better but I still feel that pain when I do the test… how can a tear not heal 3 years later? Is that possible I guess with tennnis and exercice irritation or what should do I next? I’m trying to avoid surgery

    • @OverheadAthletics
      @OverheadAthletics  2 дня назад +1

      I wouldn't say that the tear didn't heal but rather the tissue was reaggravated. If it was a high grade tear, 2 months of rest should be suffice as long as you rehabed properly. My guess would be that you did not return to sport properly and effectively. What I mean is that the underlying factors that caused your injury in the first place were not corrected. So when you return to sport, moving in the same way as you did previously, injury is likely to occur again. My suggestion would be go to therapy, strengthen the surrounding structures and tissues and have some biomechanical analysis done on your tennis swing to find out where you may be putting extra stress on your arm as well as improve the biomechanical efficiency of your swing. Hope this helps!

    • @OverheadAthletics
      @OverheadAthletics  9 часов назад +1

      @@Mika-pv4bwGotcha. In that case, the surrounding structures of the medial forearm were probably not strong enough to withstand the amount of torque and torsional force you were applying during the arm wrestling. I would continue to strengthen those structures, mainly the pronator teres and flexor ulnar calparis, as those are the main muscles that protect the ucl. Hope this helps!
