    Thanks for the great information. So many little things separate Avios from Freewing or FMS. Still a great looking plane. But Avios needs to do all the little things that bring the end user an easier assembly. Having to cycle the landing gear is a controller issue that has been resolved a few years ago.........along with esc calibration. Thanks for saving many customers headaches.

    Great video and certainly helped me; just got the grey version and straight away noticed paint coming off around the access door after a few times. Have ordered some appropriate foam covering I've used before . One further, are the decals provided water based? Kind of lends more weight to a further clear covering before doing anything from a build perspective. Also did you have any issues with the rudder as mine seems stiff in one direction and seems like i may have to trim in between the fin and the rudder itself?

    Great video. As stated below lots of good info to help with the multitude of things left out of the manual. Although your radio is different from mine your explanation will help me set up my spectrum radio. I am a little confused about the flap setup. Did you add a "y" harness so that both the inboard and outboard flaps operate from a single switch or are you operating them independently on 2 switches? Additionally, I purchased the HK recommended 4S 3000 battery and sadly it is too long to sit fully down into the battery tray. I had to add a 1/2 inch piece of foam under the battery so it would sit fully down without putting pressure against the sides of the fuselage. Great tip on the polycrylic. I have used it on several of my foam models and it works great. Thanks again for the tips and thanks in advance for the clarification on the flap settings.

    • @7demo7review
      @7demo7review  5 лет назад

      The outboard flaps are y’ed together and the inboard flaps are y’ed together. I had them on two different slider switches. I just thinks it looks cooler to operate them independently. I’ve heard of people using another y cable to connect them all together. You would need a servo reverser to do this because the inner flap servo will go the wrong way

    • @garyjohnson2022
      @garyjohnson2022 5 лет назад

      Thanks for the clarification. This means I will need at least a 9-channel receiver. This is a great looking model and I (and my envious friends) are so looking forward to its maiden flight. Thanks again for the tips.

    • @7demo7review
      @7demo7review  5 лет назад +1

      should only be 8 channels- the ailerons also have a Y.
      1 ailerons
      2- elevator
      3 throttle
      4 outer flap
      5 inner flap
      6 gear sequencer and gear
      7 rudder
      8 cargo door
      This is not the order, just counting the channels.
      Some wanted the ailerons on 2 channels for differential but it would be hard to do electronically because the y lead is deep in the fuselage. Good luck!

    • @garyjohnson2022
      @garyjohnson2022 5 лет назад +1

      You were right again, thanks. After I bound the receiver to my spectrum radio I unplugged the BEC from Aux 2 and plugged it into the bind/battery position on my 8-channel receiver. I then was able to plug Flap 2 into Aux 2 and set it up to control the inboard flaps. If there are other subscribers using a spectrum radio I'd be glad to share how I have it set up. One other thing, as I stated earlier the 3000 mAh battery would not sit properly in the battery tray without adding a piece of foam under it. Given that and the fact that getting the battery in and strapped down is certainly difficult I chose to put the battery strap through the longitudinal slots which allows me to turn the battery to sit along that axis. Not only is it much easier to put in/take out but also balancing was a snap and oh yes even allows me to use an even larger capacity battery for longer flight duration.Thanks again for the very informative videos, given the totality of information that is missing from the manual I would have been totally in the dark.

      Jeff Yang hi Jeff, thanks for your reply it worked well. Question, it says to mix aileron to rudder, however I've got a dx8 spectrum when I add the mix the rudder goes in the opposite direction to the ailerons Ie. Turning left the rudder directs the plane to the right, is this correct? Must admit I've flown over twenty models I have I'm guilty of not really using rudder other than take of n landing, I just use aileron and up elevator on my turns for my warbirds? Can you tell me that opposite rudder is correct n why?. Big question?.. Kind regards Graham

    • @7demo7review
      @7demo7review  4 года назад

      The rudder is not correct, right rudder should result in right rudder movement. Just reverse the rudder channel. I never use channel mixing- it’s not necessary for this model

    Hello Jeff, thanks for the great videos. Did you have any issues concerning the CG? I just got my c130, it's all ready with a 2200mah battery. The manual says the cg is 65mm behind the leading edge of the wing (which makes sense: roughly 1/3 of the wing). But the airplane is very nose heavy... ou said something about putting in a 3000mah to get longer flight and a heavier nose that probably be good for this airplane. But even with the 2200mah it's already very nose heavy. I would have to put a 36grammes weight way out on the tail (I don't know how I will fiw it there yet) to get it slighly nose down as it should be. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    • @7demo7review
      @7demo7review  5 лет назад

      That’s strange, my cg was perfect, and as I mentioned I felt it could use some nose weight..

    • @leloupstef
      @leloupstef 5 лет назад

      I double checked, the 4s 2200mah is its craddle, my two fingertips are at 68mm from the leading edge... nope, nose down! To get a nice balance, I need to bring fingertips 1.75mm closer to the leadingedges. If I put a 36grammes weight of the flat surface behind the rudder (I used an 8mm diam bolt and screw), then I get a slight nose down, which is generally what I like to start off with. I don't see how I can install the battery any further down the fuselage, there are so many wires on top of the gear assembly. So too bad but I won't be able to go with a 3000mah.
      Maybe your c130 was a preproduction model, the production one a little bit different? Or the cockpit crew of this c130 need to go on a serious diet!! Maybe FatAlbert was reffering to the captain and not the plane!
      How do you add weight to the tail of your models? I use bolts and screws... Efficient but looks really ugly.
      Thanks for your ideas.
      Stephan (France)

    Wow that landing gear cycling EVERY time you power up is a PITA. They need to fix that. There are plenty examples out there with sequencers that don't do this.

    Just seen it and liked it, love the model but a question above and beyond. In multi-engined planes, there is a start-up sequence, the engines number from 1 to 4 left (Port) to right (starboard) looking forward. The most common sequence is engines 3, 4, 2 then 1. The sequence is history going back to the main battery being starboard side near the starboard wing and closest to engine 3 hence on start up the engine 3 had the least battery drop for starting. Close down was not a specific and a random close down would be OK. A clip I have seen uses a "Tims Universal Timer" it may set up delays from 1 second through to hours.

    Took my new C-130 out today for its maiden flight and I totaled the airplane. Not sure what happened everything was working perfect and try went on my downwind leg in the plane started rolling to the left and spiraled all the way to the ground with no control. I had a new battery new a channel spectrum receiver and everything was working fine at take off. Here is the video of what happened: ruclips.net/video/y80bNcWMV50/видео.html

    So basically a plane sold as RTF but needs mods and upgrades to work properly. Typical HK product.

      No, it’s typical of all kits- they have their quirks. I’m putting this information out there to give people the best knowledge before buying- it is an amazing kit!
