So many new upgrades to this plane, light on the paint, new rudder linkage design, flap changes, lights, cargo door and so much more. Lots of features for the money here. And........ its fun to fly.
The build on this plane was pretty easy. the mating wing connectors, solid tail rods, and robust linkage are all great features. I did go above and beyond a bit by removing the gear and fastening the wires and control board. I would have liked to see a bit more concern there. That's a minor issue compared to all the cool stuff in this plane.

Thank you. Received mine yesterday and am looking forward to assembling and flying it, along with the USCG HU-16E. I maintained and crewed on both aircraft (1504 and 7226) during the 1970s, and the 1504 in the 1980s. Also, the 1502 and 1503, and most of the 1600 and 1700 series. Semper Paratus!
Thanks for watching and thanks for your Service
Great job Brenden!
Ty. Such a neat plane. I like stuff that does stuff. Lol
Nice job as mine comes tomorrow. That's what tracking says anyway. I'll be adding some weight to mine with the sound system however will ensure CG. Nice looking plane though. Look good next to the Coast Guard JP-50 when I finish it.
Can’t wait to see it. Hang tough buddy!!!!
USCG Elizabeth City is where I work at.
Sweet
Great assembly video... thanks. Especially nice since the build manual isn't online yet. Great tips. What do you think the effect might be if the prop directions were changed a bit? Each side would have one standard and one reverse.
Thanks for the kind words and watching. I think doing that with the props wouldn’t end well. It might let the motor pull too many amps and you ultimately would cut your thrust in half. My thoughts anyway
Maybe a long shot here, but my C-130 just came in without a quick setup guide, do you have one to share? Maybe scan one in and share the pfd?
Not anymore. If you go to their website and looks at this planes page it’s on there somewhere
@@JustPlaneCrazy it’s not a big deal, just like to have a complete kit.
Just ordered one. What was I thinking. PJ-50 Coasty and now the C-130.
Sweeeet
@@JustPlaneCrazy It arrives Saturday.
Woot woot. Don’t forget pics
Excellent video. Your teaching style makes it easy to understand all your instructions. One question;
Any possibility of a U.S. Air Force version in the V2? Thanks!!
That would be cool but not that I am aware of. Thanks for watching and commenting
Now that you’ve had it a while would you recommend this? I’ve never owned a hobbyking bird. How’s the reliability of the electronics, is everything still working good?
lol. I have long smashed this plane. It’s fun. I flew some heavy stuff to drop and the back. The landing gear didn’t last at a field that was very rough and the plane paid for it. If u have a decent runway go for it. It’s a blast
Too many arm chair critics. It's so pathetic of people to argue about the word "Build"
Seriously get a life people, Leave the man alone and appreciate the effort he has made to make these video's.
Lol thanks bro 🤪😜😝😜🤪
Did you add in any elevator correction with the flap settings? If so, how much do you use? I'm nervous about flying mine with flaps as I don't have any idea how much flap/elevator correction to add
Very little mix. I don’t think you will need much at all
@@JustPlaneCrazy Thanks, Maiden within the hour, leaving for my club field now ... Nervous but excited
Keep me posted
How did you Setup the model in the DS-12?
You can use 1 ail 2 flap or two ail one flap and just reconfigure a channel as needed
I just got mine today ... Thanks for the video ... You mentioned calibration but then didn't show that step ... This is my first multi-prop plane ... So I was just curious what that calibration is/does and how to do it?
Watching it again ... Was the calibration what you did when you powered up with throttle all the way up? If so, I was confused because the comment was made after the calibration in the vid
It was. Turn in the radio. Throttle full up, you can put throttle trim all the way down. Plug in the batt. After first series of beeps put throttle down. It will play a musical sequence. Then check your throttle operation
@@JustPlaneCrazy Thanks for the clarification!
I received mine and the outboard flap servo on the right wing was DOA ... waiting for a reply on RMA ... Curious if they will just send a new servo or if the whole wing will need to be replaced ... Nervous about trying to remove the cover that covers the wires running down the wing ... It appears to be glued in pretty well (as does the servo)
Make sure u contact their CS
do the ESCs support reversing?
Not that I am aware of
@@JustPlaneCrazy maybe install 2 Avian 40a dual ESCs
what was the name of the other foam tac glue?
Beacon foam glue from hobby lobby. Bottle says 3 in 1
What receiver are you using?
Jeti Rex 7
@@JustPlaneCrazy Thanks I will check it out
You never showed how to sync the props and you made a point out of stressing the importance of doing so!
Check the build vid. It should be in there
He said tidbits.
Lol. I love tidbits
Folks who get there panties in a a wad over the word "Build" are just to damn uptight and probably couldn't "Assemble" a friggin cheese and pepperoni pizza 🤣
Omg lol. I get that comment so often. 😝😜🤪
