It looks and flys sweet. Those landing lights are fantastic that come on that model. It comes as a civilian version and a military coast guard version. I would love to see it in camouflage paint pattern. A parachutes planned in the future. It also flys slower so it looks more to scale.
I don't know about repainting it but I can promise you parachute men!!!😆

I'm one of those vets. I see there is a USCG version. When I was in the USAF in the early '80s, USCG tail number 1600 took me and my team out to Attu Island in the Aleutians. When she came back for us a few weeks later she impacted the side of a mountain. Spent the next few days combing the wreckage and mountainside for survivors. I believe something like 9 of 11 passengers and crew survived. Gonna see if I can find a 1600 decal to go with this. Sure loved flying on the Herky Birds.

As a c130 mechanic, the outboard flaps extend too far down. They don't actually go to near vertical in the down position, just for reference. Why does it have props running in different directions?
This is to counter the torque of the 4 motors.

This is what a scale plane should be. From the lights, to the gear operation, to the slats and cargo door. Just awesome. Thrust reverse would really send it over the top, but I’m super impressed. It just looks right in the air, especially with the slight nose-up attitude during slow flight like a real plane. Great video!

@@RCPlaneReviewer thanks! It irks me when some reviewers expect a plane to be perfectly level at all times, and chase CG as a result. I’ve flown real ones and the attitude changes with speed. A Cessna with full flaps going minimum speed has its nose way in the air! And when you add flaps at too high of a speed with a real plane it pitches up. Instead of mixing elevator with flaps just anticipate that and maybe slow down. Ok rant over 😅

Just FYI, those are not slats. The model doesn't have any slats anywhere. Slats are Leading edge devices!

Can't wait for mine to get here Saturday. Coast Guard version to go with the PJ-50 Coast Guard Scheme. Also adding the Model Sounds Inc Shockwave 3 Sound System with doppler. They have the C-130 sound with ground chatter. Nice flight and the lights look good also.

Sounds cool, but if you add all that, you will get the model way, way too heavy. It's right on the verge of the weight limit right now with a 4s 2200. You don't want to add any weight to this model at all. I would be looking for ways to reduce as much weight as possible. Just something to think about, as it already flies way too fast to even look halfway scale. Good Luck.
@@scotabot7826 I get it, however after installing many of these I'm not concerned. I'll see what shakes after install and if there is a problem, I'll remove it. No big deal.

They really do prop planes well. Lights are really bright in full sun and in the dark the landing lights are incredible. 1600 is a nice size. I need to watch a build video, but I thought I heard the wings easily install and have quick connects. 2200 is surprisingly small. I thought it would be at least 4000. It flies just like the Albatross, super scale and smooth. I doubt I'd buy this one right away, but its on the list.
4000 is way too heavy, unless you want to fly it like a F-16. Weight was the major problem with the first one. Looks like it flies a little better, but it's still a little porky in my opinion. Love the paint scheme. Takes you right back to the 1970's.

No it can definitely handle well manicured grass I think!

Good day I've purchased the Coast Guard version of this aircraft a few months ago. I got it all assembled set up ready to fly, but when I apply throttle the aircraft doesn't go forward it just spins in one direction. I've calibrated the ESC many times but still the same resutlts occur. Please advise it's greatly appreciated thank you!!

I’ve watched a bunch of your videos these past few days and I don’t remember you talking off and landing in the same direction. Is the wind that light where you are? Is it just easier to go the directions you go? does anybody get mad if you break the pattern?
We dont really break the pattern flight pattern. We are just weird. lol, we always take off into the wind, but sometimes we always land one way... with the wind or not. Lol, we believe it makes us a better pilots 😜 and we can get away with it because grass slows you down quicker, too.
Need to link the inboard and outboard flaps...

Incredible plane
Slats: leading-edge devices that typically mechanicly extend, usually found on jet aircraft but not exclusively, the C130 (real world and the model) utilizes drooping flaps but definitely no slats. I am so excited to get mine, this color scheme is an exact copy of the SAFAIR fleet livery from South Africa in the 1980s - the orange white, and blue is iconic in our country and these workhorses were frequently seen in the skies and at airports, one of my first ever flights as a young kid was on a SAFAIR C-130 in these exact colors so she is deeply special to me.

Too heavy with that high aspect ratio wing. You will start to see more stalls in high banking turns, when people start posting videos. Just like the first one. Not trying to bash, just stating the truth. It is a beautiful foamy!
