The incredible Avios C-130 is back with two new hi-viz, vibrant, and lighter in weight color schemes, plus a host of other improvements. The improvements on the V2 are mainly aimed at reducing weight to improve the slow-flight handling characteristics. Like the original version, the C-130 V2 is completed to the highest level of scale detail, has a 1600mm wingspan, and measures over a meter in length.

Beloved worldwide, this versatile American four-engine turboprop aircraft has been used in many guises over its long period in service. Originally it was designed as a troop, and cargo transport aircraft, but very quickly found uses in a variety of other roles.
The Avios C-130 V2 is available in two brand new color schemes, the classic US Coast Guard scheme of hi-viz orange and white with scale decals, or a typical civilian cargo plane scheme in red, white, and blue. Both stand out really well in all skies, and both schemes are lighter in weight than previous versions. Features include pre-installed motors, ESCs, servos, retract landing gear with door sequencer, working cargo door, cabin light, nav lights, etc. The V2 also includes an improved rudder pushrod system with a rear-mounted servo which is lighter, and more direct. The wings are removable for transport and they include a quick-connect/disconnect plug and socket for servos, lights, and power. Assembly is fast and straightforward, it simply screws together, no gluing is required.
Avios presents the only true scale representation of the mighty C-130 turboprop aircraft, and in its V2 form, they are even better to fly. As the full-size model has been a familiar sight around the world for many years, these striking Avios scale models are also destined to become a familiar sight at model flying fields all over the world. I told myself time to buckle down and stop buying airplanes as I have plenty to fly. Then I see this video.......Coast Guard version ordered.
What a wonderfull livery that classic civilian colour...I know hoe great they fly, I used to own the blue angels version v1, still regret selling her,... its a true show plane on the field, specialy on quite evenings listening to that beautifull propsound... great video and nice camarework Andries... all props in the same position on that table... love it

I have the low viz grey one which was named the V2 as it had upgraded rear door,flaps, and props. This is also called the v2?

THE way the ec1500 SHOULD HAVE been done!
Only 1 thing urps me: WHY not be able to use 6s? Something, anything this big, with quad motors, SHOULD be able to handle 6s easily! 🤯 (I sure do hope its electrics aren't like the ec1500 as in 2 esc's (4 esc's here).

That looks a really nice aircraft. 👌 I have just been online to try and buy one, and it's marked at £316, which is OK. But then we have to add around another £300 for shipping from Global warehouse to get it to the UK. Suddenly not as good a deal. Is there any way you can make this more affordable for your average flyer ? 🙏

Yes, if we could open up shipping from EU WH to UK customers then it would be. That's not possible at the moment but its being worked on at the very top to make this an option once more.

Stewart... I have bought so many planes from Hobbyking in the UK... But the postage cost from Global warehouse is crazy.... I can't belive u are selling a single to the UK market at present.... Please can u update us on what is going on if anything to support the many many loyal HK model buyers here in the UK. We deserve better.....
This is a wonderful airplane I have the version one my only complaint is it needs better servos.
If you did upgrade to servos please let us know.

I have just tried to get one in England, and at £316 for the model, then add £300 for shipping, then when it gets here, they will add VAT at 20% which is roughly another £124. So total is £740 😲 Faaaar too much 😭
