The tyranids were drawn to the milky way because during the Horus Heresy a miniature version of the Astronomican was destroyed by the traitor legions. The subsequent explosion sent shockwaves across the warp and it is believed that this was the thing that attracted the tiranids to our galaxy, like moths to a lamp
Makes you wonder what is going on outside of the Milky Way tho, cause if there is a large scale invasion or already occupation of the Tyranids in places around, maybe they would have eventually found the Milky Way anyway, but just later, or what about the Tyranid stuff they found throughout the galaxy that is actually old, implying that they visited it already in the past, maybe they were scouts and an invasion was going to happen anyway once it was studied enough? I dunno, I am just making theories at this point but it does make you wonder...
@@VithLiahain The Tiranids are showing up only now because their way of travelling faster than light is shit. A hive fleet needs a specialised bio-ship to travel from one sistem to the next. This ship basically allows the entire fleet to travel at incredible speed. They do NOT use the Warp to travel. This method also has some drawbacks, most importantly they need to stop travelling at that speed before entering the system, because they risk to crash into the sun or one of the planets, so most Tiranids movements are like 99% travelling at an incredible speed and the remaining 1% going at a normal ship speed. This last part could take them years so their method of travelling is way safer than Warp travel but also a lot slower.
@@rubenspaziano6959 Interesting, I dunno why it reminds me a bit of Mass Effect 3 with the Leviathans taking a while to arrive, but it's not quite the same thing, but I do find this whole thing quite fascinating, I want to watch a lore video on the Tyranids and learn more about them, I know they are more straightforward than many other species but I am curious
@@VithLiahain Tiranids are only really effective while they are controlled by the hive mind, this is why all those tiranids bio-forms that lived on the planets mentioned in the video haven't taken and consumed said world. If a tiranid is cut of from the hive mind it becomes a mindless animal.

If you want to watch more Luetin09 videos i defenitly recommend you to watch "The emperor of mankind" seires from luetin, there are 5 parts out by now and it not only talks about the emperor himself but also gives a very good overview of the imperium and the history of humanity in general.
Oh yeah that is something that was recommended to me a long time ago actually but I didn't get around to doing it, it was long compared to what I used to watch back then so I kept not watching it, until I just forgot about it, it's still pretty long and there are a ton of things people asked me to do but I'll get around it eventually, not leave it forgotten
At this point in ur lore journey, I think u can watch If the Emperor Had a Text to Speech Device and understand most of not all of the jokes. It's a major fan favorite filled with 40k memes

I've heard about that many times, and seen videos from it recommended to me by RUclips quite often because of all the Warhammer stuff I watch, but I don't really know much about it, I'll react to a couple of episodes in one video eventually and see how it goes
14:30 you’ve gotta remember that Exterminatus is a huge commitment. If you wanna do it via orbital bombardment you’ve gotta find enough ships to do that. If you go with a cyclonic torpedo or virus bomb you’ve gotta remember that those things are hard to make and aren’t always freely available. I don’t even know if the Imperium can make Virus Bombs anymore.
Oh, after stories like Kryptman and some other little mentions, I thought Exterminatus is actually pretty broadly available and stuff, but it is not?
@@VithLiahain it’s less a matter of it being broadly available in general and more a matter of it not being widely available RIGHT THIS SECOND.

9:40 the problem was that the game pretty demanding of the graphics cards available at the time. So the game was constantly lagging because most people didn’t have graphics cards that could run it smoothly at the time.
Huh it does not look like something that hard to run even for the times, but I don't really know, all I know is that it genuinely looks and feels pretty good for what it offers, compared to almost all others that I have seen personally

Yeah I've been watching quite a lot of Warhammer videos over the past ~2 months, definitely something over 60 at this point, but if you have anything in particular you think is good, from Luetin09 or whoever, you can recommend video names (no links tho)
While Ultra marines are not my favorite I appreciate their jack of all trades nature because it's nice to have people who use common sense rather than screaming at the top of their lung charging point blank to an enemy. And the reason why they are hated is that their is that writer who I shall not speak his name said " Ultra Marines are the chapter that other space marines inspired to become" which many people didn't like that mixed with his mary sue writing about the Ultra Marines.
Yeah I’m not a fan of this author either. But I also think that it is important to give credit where credit is due. Because the stuff he did with the Necrons was actually pretty cool. He did give us Trazyn after all.

I've talked a few times about why the Ultramarines are my favorite but I do NOT mind saying it again, so thank you for the excuse: I love Guilliman for being so smart and organized, yet badass at the same time, I love the idea of Ultramar, their homeworld culture, the Ultramarines color scheme, their motto, some specific characters, them being a jack of all trades like you mentioned too, along with some other things, also I did not know that the author that people don't like when it comes to the Ultramarines is the one that gave us Trazyn, that is at least one redeeming action
