Hey so as a Sonic fan I should provide some context and fun facts cus y not
Yea they did just straight up kill that child, not just her either, their orders were to kill everyone on board and arrest Gerald, how it's depicted in the anime is the soldier that shot her didn't want to but panicked when she helped shadow escape and pulled the trigger, in the anime they actually even interview the person that shot her and he's just a sad old man that regrets that day ever since, the anime Is in it's own cannon btw, but yeah pretty dark
The explanation as to why he went from a lizard to a hedgehog is actually because there are murals that Gerald studied on angel island of one depicting a giant lizard monster and the other depicting what looked like a super powered hedgehog, so when the lizard failed, he went to the hedgehog, this was a fan theory but "might" be cannon now
When shadow called her a "faker" that's a reference to sonic adventure 2 his debut game, when sonic runs into him and calls him faker, shadow then calls him faker back
It's ALSO a slight reference to death battle itself where in shadow vs Vegeta, Vegeta calls him a rip off because of the super transformation

There's so many special ops operations that do messed up things as objectives or in the process of whatever they are doing, but it is indeed still very messed up that they killed a child, I wonder if they even knew from the start who was supposed to be there or if they had no idea a child was involved, also I guess the murals thing makes sense then, as weird as it scientifically sounds to move from a lizard to a hedgehog for that research, and in the fight with Vegeta, which I haven't seen yet, Shadow did have a point, didn't he? Plus, after what I've seen of him, him calling someone a faker, or calling someone a faker back, sounds totally on brand, tho I have to say, do not apologize for long comments, it is not a problem at all

There is a short film about Shadow? I had no idea, sounds like a good time, especially after this DEATH BATTLE, so I'll check it out one of these days !
Now i wonder how they will adapt that scene of Maria in the coming movie...
Maybe do it in a dramatic way without actually showing the full details, I mean, do we know if they will even follow the original story in the first place tho? Wait, there is a movie coming about Shadow?
You know, I keed forgetting that you don't know much of Sonic. Upside though, you're getting to know the lore more and more...THE ONE THAT STOPS KNUCKLES' FEET!!! Sorry, the reference came to mind.😅
As a random side note, I find it funny that you can't Google "knuckles" on Google Images and get normal human knuckles anymore, but Knuckles the Hedgehog instead, also someone recommended a short fan film about Knuckles that I also want to watch eventually, but a more dedicated lore thing... I do not really remember if someone recommended one of those before, or what to watch otherwise for it, but I would be interested in that
@VithLiahain you know, now that you mentioned it, I should recommend a knuckles video for you to watch! It basically gives more in depth about the character and what he went through in games. When the time is right, I'll let you know! Also, Knuckles is an echidna, not a Hedgehog.
Sonic lore goes crazy, when Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather to Eggman was making Shadow and the lizard who his called "Biolizard" there was this mural in Sonic 3 and Knuckles that appeared in the hidden palace zone where Sonic and Knuckles fought each other, basically Gerald went to a lizard than a hedgehog due to researching murals, ancient ruins and the chaos emeralds. This is also reason why in Sonic Adventure 2, Gerald Robotnik built an emerald shine, based on researching ancient ruins and placed it in the place shadow was made created which is called "The Ark."
But what is the deal with those murals, I mean, it does make sense that he would make that weird move from such different creatures if it was for a reason like that, but now I am curious what are those murals, is any of that explained in more detail?
@@VithLiahain So there were two murals Gerald Robotnik researched along with ancient ruins in the process of project shadow, first was the mural in Sonic 3 and Knuckles as I explained before, the other mural was in Sonic Adventure where Sonic after the player goes his 9th stage in game called "Lost World" a cutscene follows where Sonic himself is observing a mural of a water creature, the mural in Sonic Adventure along with researching ancient ruins belonging to the echidnas, Knuckles' people lead Gerald into making the Biolizard before Shadow the Hedgehog along with some alien assistance.
@@whirlwind6wind33 I don't think I am going to just understand what is going on in that universe just like that, maybe watching a lore video about the world of Sonic or something like that might help, do you have anything in mind, to recommend me to watch regarding that?
@@VithLiahain cool, it's okay you don't get it, honestly Sonic lore is up there with like other game franchises that have alot to insane amount of lore
@@whirlwind6wind33 It has been around for a long time and a lot of stories were made, a ton of lore, which makes sense, tho I will watch some more Sonic stuff, maybe even some lore things eventually
Kill la kill is definitely a weird anime but it is good and I do recommend it just be prepared for the fan service because it goes wild more than what was shown here

@@VithLiahain well the show core premise is how clothes shape our society and self expression and have become more than just fabric that protects us against the elements on a more serious side it is a critique of facism and specifically the Japanese government not wanting teach about their many many MANY horrific crimes committed during WW2
@@JohnShepherd117 There is meaning and symbolism in the concepts of that anime? I would never have even thought about that by just watching it, if I am being honest, not even close when it comes to some of those subjects, what the heck?
