The time of the rani title sequence was the first Ever CGI title sequence made for TV. So yeah it’s not gonna be the best of the best but for it’s time it was great plus the bbc spent loads of money on it

You have many anime vids in your review list - ive not seen any of them so wouldnt you find it weird if i was to review their title music? Maybe you should of watched some sort of guide to the show, see if you think its your sort of thing, then review either from the start or from the beginning of the new series. Fun fact: Doctor Who actually got canceled by the BBC after 1987. The movie was supposed to inspire its own reboot but nothing came out of it, but 2005 finally represented a comeback

The original 1963-1989 themes are the best in my opinion I love the creepy effects and the creepy music not a fan of the new stuff except Jodie's.

The funky effect you wanted to know about was done using a technique called slit scran photography. A lengthy process, but funky.
