Yes prius too pricey. The Corolla is probably the best value sedan for those who want a trunk and decent backseat space
@@Firenmage433 the backseat space isn’t great like it used to be. Even the already cramped Mazda3 has more rear legroom
Haha thumbs up for the sleeping kid picture! Great video.
the baby loves the wrx
Kirk is bringing back the fanny pack!
That’s a Fanny Backpack in size lol
Lol fanny pack🤣🤣 thank you for the vid!
Love the gauge cluster! Looks very Lexus like.
Still has last years lights. The European version has the new lights. Sad
@@maga6319 nothing? almost everything comfortwise is different, keep hating you kia hyundai meat rider
I wouldn’t say that’s a good thing. Had it used the same 7in mid as a highlander sire I’d agree. But the corolla needs the full lcd cluster. A civic offers it. So does the forte and Elantra
@@maga6319 Yeah both are class leaders !!
Plus u can see Toyotas and lexus cars on roads !! They don't burn to ashes unlike kia and hyundais
i have driven the corolla conquest vvti engine is very good 5 speed manual, gear and handling is very good and acceleration is good
Great review. Do you think there is a lot of road noise or not?
I got the 23 SE in white I love it! Kinda wish it had more technology like its competitors tho
Buy one. The engines are bullet proof. I have a 1992 Toyota Corolla 5 speed manual, and the car never seems to break down.
It would be nice if they added rear air vents standard on all trims
Aww! Your baby girls are getting so big! They’re adorable!
This thing looks sick 😍
Very positive video review 🎉
Glad you liked it
i have the SE 2020 model. its practically just the same. thanks for sharing!
I’m trying to get excited Kirk but this feels like I am shopping with my wife for a new fridge! Give me the GR Corolla please!

You can never go wrong with a Corolla.
Any news on the 24 Sienna?
Love the review! You and your family should do the 2023 Venza!! ❤
I love my 2020 xse 🥺
How's the transmission. Do you hear a big noise as you descend a hill when you press the brake.
good review, very thorough. it might be a little much to wish for more premium finishes on an entry-level Toyota. if someone wanted those features or options they should move up to the Camry. good job, leaving the video with zero questions regarding the Corolla. Thumbs up!
Nice Review🎉
Video nice & clear
I want to see a 2.5l from the Camry and I might buy one
How long did it take you to get the vehicle? I've been waiting since November!
I have the SE Nightshade with 2.0L & in sport mode it picks up very quick. Hit 60mph in 6.5sec. Wonder if the XSE is heavier
It's heavier if you put your entire family in it, as in this video. Otherwise, both models are the same mechanically.
I notice that most Corolla reviews are about the SE trim there seems to be a lot more LE models being sold than the SE.
It’s coz dealers offer the mid trim or higher trims for car reviewers but in reality most people will get the LE due to price. I have a 2020 LE that I have had since 2020 and mine it’s a Canadian spec which has more features to all Corollas from the USA.
That’s actually not true. The base LE model DOES NOT get the new style headlights unless you get the hybrid LE. The base LE has the same headlights as the 21 and 22
The base LE has a different grill from the 20 to 22 ones and I
Prefer the 20 to 22 front grill
Great Review
I really like the front bumper
I wish other corollas sedans have that grill front bumper with the big grill
Design teams for the front and the back of this car should sit on one table and talk to each other 🙂
I had have one of then, so it's a great car I imported from 🇺🇲 florida to Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 but i felt its complete all my expectation about car and more
Had a 1.8L manual. Took me six weeks to get up to 60 mph. 😂
I saw an Apex today. It was white. Gorgeous. It made me want the GR that much more.
Ps. Alligator is delicious.
I'd rather eat gator than the other way around 🤣
@@KirkKreifels yessir. I ate it for the first time when I was 8 years old hanging out at Ted Nugent’s house when he still lived in Michigan. He was friends with my stepdad. Haha.
I prefer deep fried gator. Delicious !
Man, I miss me some gator tail. Last time I had some gator tail was back in 2014 in NOLA when I was road tripped my sister and her belongings from San Diego to Jacksonville. There's a restaurant just north of Miami that sale gator tail, but I could only find freight to Orlando. If I can't buy some gator, then I will settle for some kangaroo in Jacksonville.
Do they get A/c in the back my mom owns a Honda pilot and when I sit in the back and the back seat A/c is off I start sweating hers have a a/c along with charging ports
Those sandals are the ultimate “WHAT ARE THOSE?!”
Excellent review of a very competent and reliable vehicle. Toyota is a formidable product.
So, i replayed the first part like 10 times just to see where did I miss the actual info on the engine. I had to go outside to google to see. It's a 2.0😊
the side plastic is hard its just that you don't rest hand on it and fall sleep during driving
Did u feel any vibrations at 1200 rpm?
Mazda3. Don't get me wrong, recently corollas are looking sharp, what kills me is the fact that they are only reliable compact vehicles with nothing else to offer. I might consider the corolla hatchback someday with a turbo motor and better handling. By the way I'm not a 20 year old kid lol, I'm 48 I just need my vehicle to feel alive when I'm driving. I will never argue Toyotas excellent quality and reputation, the bad things that other Japanese and Korean companies are catching up to them.
Is the fuel door release still on the floor with the trunk release?
Yes
Thank you for sharing this video. I wish Toyota will start offering full digital instrument cluster as their competition all have them. Toyota is offering digital instrument cluster in Europe now, there is hope for 2024 model year.
Yes the EU Corolla gets 12" MID. Lexus gets a 7" 🤣 that we see in this Corolla
If you have the possibility to come to europe, I would like to see you making a review of the Corola Touring Sports, to see if it is different in driving and feeling. The materials, I believe, could be the same..
To be honest I am in Cologne where the German hedquarter of Toyota is, and I saw a lot of Corola Touring Sports here.
I would love to drive the Corolla sports touring

Highway MPG 46 on the Corolla Hybrid LE vs 53 on the Camry Hybrid LE? Does not make sense.
Great looking car…don’t fix what isn’t broken. Unfortunately, not enough Hp for Cali’s grapevine…a Mazda3 is the more sensible choice for me with 191Hp.
Or 250hp 😉
It does have an air vent for the back under the seat from what I have seen so far.
Holy crap $28,000 for a COROLLA? DAFUQ! 😂
That’s inflation civic go for way more than that so you either take it or leave it
$28,000 for a corolla in 2023
$16,000 for a corolla in 2012
$16,000 in 2012 is equivalent to $21,194 in todays money. understanding money is important my man.
I wonder if the backseat two USB C can be installed on older model Corollas?
just got a 23 civic hatch, idk why im watching this lmao
E-CVT, and high efficiency engine. The only reason I'm getting a Hybrid, and a Toyota. 140hp or 186hp, not settled yet. Whichever is more economical I guess.
Anyone know if there is enough space to fit a full size spare tire in the spare tire compartment?
hopefully soon, the XRS trim😊
with a 2.5L 209 HP
Kirk, could you ask Toyota to give us a civic si fighter with the next redesign? Thanks 😊
What version of the car is that ?
Hate low profile tires! Why are all these economy cars pivotting to low profile tires? Asinine.
Where in Florida was that alligator in that’s scary damn
Pretty much in THE WHOLE STATE you could find them, even in urban South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach), where I've been on vacation 3 times. The closest you get to the Everglades the more you'd find them.
Alligators are everywhere, you dont have to look far. One ate a grandma last month put walking her dog😪
Gators are the original Floridaman
Gators 🐊 = 🐔 🍗 = 😋
Arguably all the car one needs.
Yeah, if you don’t care about driving and literally want an economy box for point a to b.
@@atmartens You're very wrong. These new Corollas are fun to drive and bring a smile to your face. Back in the eighties, a zero to 60 of 8 seconds was reserved for sports cars! Also, push button start, navigation, great music system etc. were reserved for luxury cars!
@@braetonwilson4296 This amount of money can easily go to a lot better options, including the Honda Civic or Mazda 3. Even the Subaru Impreza has more personality than this thing.
@@atmartens Civic and Mazda 3 are great cars but Corolla is definitely better than Impreza. Not only does the Impreza have less horsepower but it's heavier because it's standard AWD which means it's slower than the Corolla.
@@braetonwilson4296 I don’t disagree with that but the AWD can be useful depending where you live.
So You said there is a Hybrid Corolla SE. Do You know if Toyota will eventually have a Hybrid Corolla XSE? I personally like the XSE Seats over the SE and the Sunroof is a plus for me. Imagine a Ruby Red Hybrid XSE with that XSE Red Interior Color 😍😍😍

@kirk_kreifels What did I Win?
Kirk, Did the alligators remove the independent rear suspension from lower spec Corolla models? Did those living dinosaurs run away with the manual transmission from everything but the GR? Sadly, it seems the bean counter brigade is taking back territory from the 'No More Boring Cars' faction at Toyota Motor Corporation. 🤨
Lol 😆 🤣 😂
On the official spec sheet it said multi link rear for all grades. At least for Mississippi made ones.
Just looked at the hybrid spec sheet. Also says multi link with stabilizer bar.
@@KirkKreifels Further investigation is needed.
Torsion bean rear suspension on regular Corolla. Multi link on hybrid version per Toyota spec sheet online .
Just the LE that has the torsion beam suspension. My 2020 LE has the independent rear suspension and that alone is another reason why I will keep it
Smart move !
