    Thankfully, the Corolla still offers a simple approach to a small car. However, this generation and the changes for 2023 help it become a car more people should WANT to own. Today, I will show you how the little Corolla still keeps up with the Honda Civic, Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra, Subaru Impreza and more!
    Thank you, Royal South Toyota, for letting me test drive a Corolla for today’s video!

    ……and that’s ok. Corolla may be a slower can than the Civic but look at who last longer and more reliable: the Corolla for the win. They’re proven naturally aspirated motor just supports their legendary efficiency, longevity, and reliability. And balanced good gas economy. Perfect! Otherwise, what else do you expect from a Corolla? If you need more, get a Camry or any other higher model vehicle for that matter.

    Great review and I totally agree that the Corolla sedan is more practical and spacious than the Corolla hatchback. Just try squeezing suitcases in both. I guarantee you can fit a lot more in the sedan trunk. I also agree that Mazda 3's 2.5 liter engine has more juice but I'm wary of the cylinder deactivation tech they've introduced and it's impact for long term reliability.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  Год назад +4

      They’ve had cylinder deactivation on the 3 since 2019 and I didn’t read any issues from people deriving from that so I wouldn’t really worry about it myself. If that’s your highest priority though, then the Corolla still takes the crown for sure!

    Can you order a 2023 XSE HATCHBACK COROLLA IN windchill pearl but without the 18 inch tires n wheels and substitute the 16 inch tires n wheels from the COROLLA SE because I don't like 18 inch tires n wheels because the ride won't be as comfortable with less protection from blowouts and bent wheels from bad roads with potholes. Also you have more choices of tires in 16 inch size and get better gas milege. The 16 tires cost less to replace and wear longer. Less chance of curb rash with the 16 inch tires.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  Год назад +3

      Can’t switch the wheels unless you buy them on top of it. Honestly the ride is still good with 18s, they definitely are more susceptible to damage and will have pricier tires in the long run, but they’re still quite reasonable so if you have to choose, I’d recommend getting an XSE and just think about different wheels down the road.

    • @microminiskirt
      @microminiskirt Год назад +1

      @Realistick Too bad dealership can't do a deal where one could swap the low profile tires off the XSE and put those 16 tires from SE since the COROLLA is an economy car and 18 tires n wheels are purely cosmetic in nature and will cost more in the long run with curb rash damage gas mileage and wear out faster. Just that 18 is more susceptible to more damage on unforgiving bumpy roads. If purchasing the factory 16 SE COROLLA TIRE N WHEELS separately dealership can give a discuont on all 4 tires n wheels.
