Speaking of removed features, reforging was awesome, and I don't know why in the world they removed it. You could customize your gear and stats which is always great. And it acted like a bit of bad luck protection.
Agreed. They should bring Reforging back, since it was an entirely "optional" system. You never got 100% optimal stats, since it simply reduced 1 stat, to give you a little bit of another stat. But better than not getting any stats at all.
I believe they removed it because it added just one more item to the list of chores required to make gear "ready" to equip, and they felt it wasn't a very compelling choice to make anyways. You ultimately just converted "bad stat" to "good stat".
However, the biggest headache about Reforging was the need to juggle your hit and expertise stats to be as closely to the cap as possible without going over. This required you to use outside tools to optimize (basically a sim) and anytime you equipped another item, even between content types, you had to reforge *everything* to re-optimize. At the time Reforging wasn't really anything more than just one more sim to deal with. The fun of it was "optimized out", I suppose.
The fact that Hit and Expertise have been removed greatly encourages the return of the system, but that's effectively been replaced with secondary decays.
How about items with that gives the stats that you want, so you don't have to reforge? Crazy I know, but it's pretty nice, I swear

I'd love to see like... any normal cosmetic glyphs even.... they haven't added more than a half a dozen in many expansions. Pretty awful.

@@EriSenshur Its definitely an interesting idea. Implementing things that were missed in the xpac could be really cool. Imagine a classic version of WoD where we actually got Farahlon and the missing raid tier.

they scrapped it b/c they didnt have enough time. everything else is PR-speak. they should make Catclysm+
The more I look back at it, the more liked the new expansion player power systems (Artifacts, Covenants, Azerite, etc.). I miss having some sort of alternative character progression.

Man this makes me even more sad on how bland Dragonflight has been. Even Shadowlands had something to still progress and rank conduits up. Dragonflight just has nothing to do outside of meaningless sidequests....
Bring back artifact weapons or any system similair to it, let me freaking have something to do outside of the first few weeks of a season when i get m+ reward title and reward and afk for months waiting for next season. Even mythic has never seen this little parses it's just so sad.
The reason they moved from those systems is because the community cried about those "grindy systems". So now they are moving their focus on evergreen content, content that isn't gonna be done and over after 1 exp.
@@flyrow3712 Yeah but it's boring, i login and nothing to do now. I play games to progress my charachter get that feeling of progression and improving. Now it's just dull dailys that reward nothing.
Blizz couldn’t do it cause they were too busy being trash human beings, but a private server went ahead and made something similar for themselves. 😂
