OHHH YURRRRRR!!!
I like how he picked Gene Hoglans softest most chill part hes ever played.
Because the other ones are too complex
@@thewhale3672 hahaha
Farhan Rayeed Because no mortal would dare attempt something like “Skeksis”.
And failed to mention Dark Angel in the footnote.
Disgrace 😁
What song was that from.
Had a feeling joey jordison was on this list. R.I.P. joey.
R.I.P Joey Jordison 1975 - 2021. Gone But Never Will Be Forgotten
BRUH WHAT THE FUCK HOW IM I ONLY NOW HEARING ABOUT THIS?!?!
@@mikeynaziri sorry your just hearing about it. He was great and my favorite drummer and that probably won't change. He's in a better place now.🥁⚰
Same rip
agree R.I.P Joey jordison
1:21 double pedal part sounded heavy af
check this guy ruclips.net/video/6teQ8ZMc6gc/видео.html
Like a helicopter made of HELL
2:29 omfg! the double kicks r insane dude
Holy shit! 16th notes at 15 BPM!
I got Phil Rudded. Lol!
Kicks you both in balls and the guts at the same second.
why is cliff burton playing drums?
🤣👍
Xd
Lol
At least is better than Lars lol
NO he was reborn as a drummer
Man... It warms my heart to see Richard Christy in there. That guy is one of my all time favorites. The stuff he did with Death, and his stories/friendship with Chuck are/were enough to make my eyes well.
What about Sean Reinert
Bahahaha dude this is fucking fantastic. That Portnoy impression almost had me in tears, soooo spot on.
If there's a chance of getting more of these, might I suggest:
Brann Dailor
The Rev
Mike Wengren
George Kollias
Matt Greiner (I'm laughing already trying to picture you playing with ramrod straight posture and locked wrists)
+Mitch ZImmerman Porntoy* is how it's spelled in the video, in case you missed that haha
GG Verifier I totally missed that, thats fuckin hilarious.
Imo I think that the portnoy impersonation didn't capture anything that makes portnoy special, his sincapation, tastieness, odd time grooves, etc
Mario Duplantier
Sean Reinhart and brann dailor are 2 that spring to mind.
Thumbs up for Sean!
+necropig Reinhart? never heared of him
nroks I spelt his name wrong so that doesn't help. He is Cynic's drummer and was drummer on the Human album by Death
+nroks look him up man. this guy literally put a highly complex polyrhythm, with a shit load of ghost notes and accents, in a death metal song. that takes a lot of creativity.
Brann dailor is literally a jazz drummer on cocaine, love him
2:29 Dude how do you play that beat, I just can't get the timing right
Bruh.. it's the most simple beat of all shown in the video
Edit: ok ok I get it, stop it already with the woooshing... jeez
The joke
Your head
Aymane Mabrouki someone woosh

Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan
There’s the comment I was looking for 😶
He inspired me to play
Samr
Yes
He’s just not that good
Weird seeing Danny Carey playing a song in 4/4 XD
Cyrekt Yeah, I was expecting something like 37/64, or 17/32.
or like 46/2 lol
fuck you for being clever XD
Dudes, he could even play a 2x^45/e^.0005pi meter
Im gonna be "that guy" and tell you that parabola, the pot, Prison sex, sober, Stinkfist, eulogy, 46&2 and H. Are all in 4 or 8.
Songs
Paoli = Fleshgod Apocalypse - The Violation
Adler = Lamb of God style arrangement
Lombardo = Slayer style arrangement
Hoglan = Death - Zero Tolerance
Carey = Tool - Parabola
Jordison = Slipknot - Surfacing
Portnoy = Mike Portnoy style solo
Lopez = Suicide Silence = Bludgeoned to Death
Smith = Suffocation - Pierced from Within
McBrain = Iron Maiden - Caught Somewhere in Time
Lee = South Park - Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld
Christy = Death - Scavenger of Human Sorrow
Rudd = AC/DC style arrangement
Haake = Meshuggah - New Millenium Cyanide Christ
DethMetLKhaos The Slayer arrangement was Jesus Saves, from their Reign in Blood album.
You sir are the GOAT.
"Slayer style arrangement" Lol if you dont know the song dont make a list. Its that easy
Besides mike smith didnt even play on pierced from within
That was Parabola?
Awesome job showing the love to Richard Christy! He's really underrated.
I love the song choice for Gene Hoglan, Zero Tolerance is probably the drum intro I think about the most
im loving South Park reference 2:04 ahahaha u made my day!
tommy and the lords of the underworldddddddddd
Livin a lieee
Francesco Paoli (Fleshgod Apocalypse) 0:06
Chris Adler (Lamb of God) 0:19

Ohh Yeeeaar
Gene Hoglan is member of Dark Angel too
Would love to know all of the songs too.
@Svenskaalger6565 Scavenger Of Human Sorrow :)
Im no drummer or anything for that matter but i was hoping Frost, or Hellhammer was gonna be in the mix....🤘👊...
ARX also testament
*TIMMAY*
love that Southwark reference
And the lords of the underworld
To not name Lars Ulrich is indeed interesting....we can discuss about his drumming abilities, but his influence on Heavy Metal is undeniable.
I feel like only a non-drummer would mention lars.
Nah he sucks
아마추어 실력인 드러머는 여기에 못끼거든ㅋ일단 박자부터 맞추고 와라
@@x_Heffe_X you got a lot to learn in life x x
@@TheSilverGate of course I do, but on this topic I’m correct.
I'm not sure what killed me more, the Portnoy bit or the Tommy Lee bit. My god. So good.
Richie Cristie!!! Definitely one of my favorite drummers. His work with Charred Walls and Death is incredible
The (ex-Slipknot) part made me so sad...
Atleast not dead
Why? They upgraded with a vastly superior drummer and their last 2 albums have blown the last 2 albums Joey was on out of the water
@@blakebillman300 eh, i guess we're all entitled to our own opinions, but I disagree.
@@blakebillman300 I don't see how the new guy is better thsn Joey, or how the last 2 album were even good
@@blakebillman300 Just...no
I laughed so hard when you did Portnoy because that’s EXACTLY what I imagined in my head.
Part 2 is now in the works!
+66Samus Cant Wait! Drum on!
+66Samus checkout some of Romain Goulons work
Cool, first part was amazing. Thanks for play Death, always had great drummer's and it's my favorite band. if I may suggest you drummer's please remember VITTEK from Decapitated, DOCC from Vader/Dies Irae, I don't know his name but the drummer from Carcass, drummer from Nile, drummer from Ishtar (black metal band, I guess they are from Belgium) and the drummer from Vital Remains. Thank you for share with us your talent and I hope almost 2 of my suggestions would be accepted. Thanks...
+66Samus Man, please consider Inferno as one of the choices. I really aprove those you put there. Thumbs up from Brazil \m/
+66Samus Even from Behemoth or from Azarath
Them: Which AC/DC song is that?
Me: Yes
You know. Ehat i love about ACDC is that even with simple beats and riffs they can make great songs and music
2:29 one-beat man
Id watch it
Nick manza Vinnie Paul Lars ulrich(and yes I know he’s a simple drummer) but where’s those guy
Duplantier as well...?
2:44 Haake is a god
What song is that?
@@Nave0157 it's kinda new millenium cyanide christ, but not really.
@@Nave0157 the first half is a butchered version of New millennium, and the 2nd half devolves into a generic djent riff because he's not really a fan of meshuggah
@@deathonion404 ah okay thanks!
So are Carey Portony Duplandier Dailor and Hogland
You forgot Ringo Starr
LOL
In what way do u think he's metal?? I think just because of helter skelter
@@metal4360 r/wooosh
@@metal4360 r/wooosh
@@metal4360 he played a cover of Angra.
kind of unfair to say that Tomas Haake sounds like "every other djent kid"
Every other Djent kid sounds like Haake
That Portnoy killed me dude!! Awesome
Richard Christy is awesome, one of the best technical drummers! \,,/
Richard Christy is the GOAT. Has the ability of a Portnoy/Carey/Hoglan, while also being able to do the best prank phone calls. Truly the undisputed GOAT.
ahahaha PORNTOY! You are fantastic, man!
1:29 Were you making fun of the fact that you can't hear Alex Lopez's blasts? If so, you're absolutely right hahaha
+Jacob ........ :) :) :)
+Jacob Followed by Mike Smith the hardest blaster out there!
The fact you even have fleshgod on here deserves respect.
Where's Lars?
Dang
Snipolimpics in the studio still figuring out how to play to a click
You joking right??
it’s not best drummers, it’s influential. you can’t deny the impact lars had on metal.
Saw a live transmission of a Metallica show here in Chile, Black Album Tour, i was 12, Lars behind that white Tama drumkit, 4 rack toms and all that, next day i was beggin for drum lessons and to have my own kit. Years later i´ve seen the show again, and Lars was playing awful, BUT, i think a lot of kids who were my age at that time, or even younger, felt motivated by him to start with the drums. If that´s not influential, i dont know what it is.
Here.. ruclips.net/video/VlnWVKe75ZY/видео.html
Opens with the most insanely nonchalant blast beat I've ever seen. Jesus dude that was beautiful
Thanks for including Richard Christy. He’s a wonderful artist
2:40 oh yeah that was hardcore bro lol
Nicko doesn't really use double bass, but still a fun video regardless.
+David Daniel So he's less metal because he doesn't use a double bass? Really? GTFO.
***** what are you talking about? I'm the biggest maiden fan. I was just pointing out that in this video he uses double bass where in real life Nicko does not.
+Adam Robertshaw But it's still not even close to Nicko style with his ride patterns or fills. Nevertheless i really like this vid.
+Adam Robertshaw Not true; if you listen carefully you can clearly hear how it's two beaters.
Adam Robertshaw Listen to the record. You can hear it. It is very clear and sucks for you because I am a professional drummer. Teaching drums.
TOMMY LOL!
The AC/DC look is the best dude - I love your humor!
Mike Portnoy: Winery Dogs, Ex-Dream Theater
HE'S STILL IN DREAM THEATER TO ME!
He did forget about Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, and MANY more
HE WILL NEVER LEAVE DREAM THEATER IN MY IMAGINATION
He is not in Dream Theater, he is Dream Theater.
They don't SOUND like he's still with them, at all. I think Mangini is a terrific drummer, certainly way better than me, so who am I to criticize? But -- DT's music was interesting and vibrant when Porntoy (love that) was their drummer, and now it sounds over-perfect and -more- pretentious 😉 Plus the snare tone on the eponymous album is complete shit.
Lte
*Mark PORNtoy*
LMAO IM DYING :"DDD
“Mark”
holy fuck the video says mike 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@metalfan2346 what
You put Paoli as the first one! I have insane amounts of respect. You have earned a subscription...
Thomas Haake was not enough ghost notes.
Behemoth's Inferno is missing
Phil Rudd
Metal
And
Influential
I don’t feel so good
Influential but not metal
John Cena yeah but most people know him because of AC DC and he doesn’t show his skills in ACDC
John Cena yeah but their most famous songs live
Well he does solos but not for the songs in live
But well it’s AC DC not Dream Theater
AC/DC is metal. Accept it.
@@kasogamer wha
dude you are fantastic. but sounds like you dont dig the djent thing. Tomas Haake can shred that thing, tho.
spat out my coffee at the "TOMMY!" part...
Ehh, why wasn't Bill Ward on the list
Nicko mcBrain doesn't use double kicks m8
he does
+jax son he doesn't
he uses single kicks
he used a double pedal for a track in Dance of Death, didnt like the feel of it, only time he has recorded using doubles.
Francisco R. Wow I didn't know that
where's my dearly beloved Mario Duplantier? :(
+Zwappes probably somewhere in france, painting pictures of dogs on drumheads, with crayons.
+66Samus the drummer from Dimmu Borgir is pretty sick too. Loved this tho, thanks for the upload!!
What I was thinking bro
Nick Barker is a beast.
3 Death drummers - 3 Death songs in this influential Metal trilogy... ggwp
also, check out the Cattle Decapitation
Hilarious! LOVED Tommy Lee and Phil Rudd! LOL!
Missing Flo Mounier, but that's okay. When he drums it forfeits at least a thousand mortal lives.
And ken bedene
I didnt know that Cliff Burton could play drums.. and alive...
Serdar Uzun Stolen for likes.
Sandoval ? Kollias ?
Sandoval is, with Lombardo, one of the most influential drummer of (extreme) metal drumming. Really sad to see his name forgotten.
2:17 scavenger of human sorrow - death) like
love the passion in your playing dude, rock on!
Mad props for that Mike Portnoy bit.. lol that was just pure awesome.
*Mike Porntoy
this drumkit looks like 10.000 Dollars
+triggers +mics +cymbal stands +drum heads
+Spoodermen Produktionz yes i mean the complete drum set looks like 10.000 Dollars
+jax son I wish it only cost 10.000
jax son just the shell pack without cymbals, hardware. $9,000
Not as expensive as Joey Jordison's All Hope Is Gone Tour kit...
Mike "Porntoy" lmao, slight misspelling there, thanks for that laugh!
needs more Gene Hoglan
Missing Lars Ulrich :D
+Branislav Bihary (Granko´s Gaming) Lars was removed from this video. I don't need to get sued lol
Lol okay :D
+Branislav Bihary (Granko´s Gaming) As much as we know how, let';s say, "not very good" Lars is :P, you have to admit that Metallica is a gateway band for many metalhead and one of the most importante bands (not just metal) in the world. So most metal drummers start off trying tto play his stuff. So he's pretty influential, if you ask me ;)
hehehe what a comment, lars is a computer not a drummer, he follows strange instructions .......
+Branislav Bihary (Granko´s Gaming) Thank you, I needed that laugh today! :D
All these years and I just realized that his name was spelled like that 1:12
Nyango Star?
Though, you got Francesco form FA, that counts
0:43
I thought Pickles the Drummer was the drummer for Dethklok.
I think Mike Smith would be proud cause you’re blasting was on par with his
No Vinnie Paul? :(
Nooooooooooooo.....
Valid comment! Where is Big Vin?
The guy in the video doesn't have the skill to copy him.
***** Overrated? :D
Go bash by your typical elitist standpoint, Lars or someone else.
***** Pantera isn't overrated, they deserve all the praise they get.
***** They were a big inspiration for a lot of nu-metal bands (even though a few good bands came from the nu-metal scene). But I don't think I need to tell you they also inspired a lot of good bands.
I love Gene hoglan and Sean reinart but Richard Christy is just my favorite . Sound of perseverance left me speechless. Not one bad song on that album .
I really enjoy that these are very slight spoofs of these song just enough to pay homage. Love your shit bro!!
The Phil Rudd section was a bit too flashy.
start right off with Francesco Paoli, this gonna be a damn good list
I’m surprisingly impressed about the Phil Rudd one where he didn’t overplay.
Man leaving out Bill Ward
is almost like a stab in the back...
Definitely woulda put him in here instead of a couple others
No Nick Barker either
Was scrolling down to see how long it would take for “no bill ward???”
Let's play a drinking game
Every time somebody says new Lars ulrich (not 81-93) I'm talking about 96-2017 Lars ulrich, take a shot
I know this is off topic, but that outro is ridiculously satisfying
Lol
The Mike Portnoy part was funny.
+Stonewall380 Entertainment Porntoy*
RaStAsHeL ShaNe4 I just noticed he spelled it like that. lol
xD
U forgot jimmy "the rev" sullivan and jay weinberg
I laughed so hard when I saw you misspelled Portnoy to Porntoy. 🤣🤣🤣
I don't think Alex Lopez or Gene Hoglan get enough recognition. Good list
They may not be the most technically proficient, but AC/DC has always been one of my favorite bands. Ever since I was riding around the skatepark mouthing “Rock and Roll ain’t noise pollution!” 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
You're all the drummers I love into one, Thamuth!!!
alex rudinger!!!
+Piece of Sheet He's hardly influential, but rather a drumming monster and a technical god.
+Mert Gurcan You apparently don't follow any of the contemporary metal out there. Rudinger has already had far greater influence on the scene and metal drumming than half of the other guys he mentions in this fanboy video.
Uhh, not even close pal. But thanks for playing.
2:05 Timmeh! LMAO
OMG!!
I loved you yelling Tommy when you were doing the Tommy Lee stuff.
T-I-M-M-Y!!
Wow, Danny Carey is so much more than what you presented in like every moment of every song he plays.
The rest we're pretty good but yeah, that was absolutely not representative of Danny.
Nick Menza? Vinnie?
Hes just going ":O" for almost the whole video 😂.
Instant Sub
You forgot one!!!!!!!!!!!
66Samus!
Am i the only one who noticed the Mike "PORNTOY" typo? xDxD :p
Great to see some recognize Richard Christy was in Iced Earth...those guys never get a plug
0:07 song name?
2:10 - haha, nice Southpark Timmy impression.
Great to see Haake but i think you should have included these 3 also:
Matt Greiner
Austin Archey
Dirk Verbeuren
Gene Hoglan is a BEAST!
Mike Smith is a God.
No, Mike Smith is not God. God is the creator of Mike Smith.
sharkwater more like sharkblasphemer
@@ldcsam1 lol
Loved the south park "Timmay"/"Tommy" nod.. That was hilarious
I was cool with you listing suicide silence as an influential metal band but comparing haake to 'every other djent kid" is just absurd
I mean they inspired every shitty deathcore band that came after.
Deathcore? Ahaha dude juste no they inspired djent style but not deathcore
